Abstract

This article aims to educate and provide solutions for biology teachers to become bio-entrepreneurs in order to improve teacher welfare. The research method used is the literature review method to analyze how to become a bio-entrepreneur which can improve teacher welfare. Data was collected by searching for e-journals relevant to this topic via Google Scholar for the last 7 year period from 2017-2024.The results of the analysis from several articles show that: becoming a bio-entrepreneur can improve teacher welfare.

Abstract

Aktivitas belajar merupakan fundamental dari proses pembelajaran yang dapat menghasilkan perubahan hasil belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar biologi dengan penerapan Discovery Learning pada materi keanekaragaman hayati kelas 10. Subjek yang digunakan adalah fase E 1 dengan jumlah total 36 siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan deskripsi kuantitatif. Data diperoleh dari hasil observasi selama mengajar dan juga angket aktivitas belajar serta hasil belajar. Hasil dari penelitian ini aktivitas belajar meningkat dari siklus I yang semula 74,44% menjadi 78,02% atau meningkat sebesar 3,58%. Tiap-tiap aspek aktivitas belajar juga meningkat. Hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari siklus I sebesar 71,43% menjadi 94,71% atau meningkat sebesar 23,28%. Kesimpulannya aktivitas belajar meningkat seiring dengan pemberian perlakuan dan termasuk dalam kategori baik. Aktivitas belajar yang meningkat berpengaruh juga terhadap hasil belajar yang juga meningkat.

Abstract

Komunikasi merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang memengaruhi tingkat keberhasilan seseorang dalam bersosialisasi. Hal ini disebabkan, komunikasi merupakan wadah bagi setiap orang dalam menyatakan ide atau pendapatnya agar orang lain bisa memberikan respon sesuai yang diharapkan. Melalui komunikasi, setiap orang mengetahui dan memahami keinginan individu lain sehingga mereka bisa sama-sama memberikan respon atas keinginan tersebut. Dalam Proses Pembelajaran guru memiliki peranan yang penting dalam membangun interaksi antara sesame siswa, antara guru dan siswa atau antara anggota sekolah yang lain. Komunikasi yang efektif memiliki ketentuan, syarat, prinsip dan strategi yang universal sehingga eksistensinya hingga saat ini cukup signifikan diaplikasikan dalam pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

Many villages face challenges in optimizing their local potential. Sidomulyo Village, Bambanglipuro, Bantul, is one of the villages with abundant natural resources, including diverse plant species that have not been fully utilized. To address this, a community engagement program has been designed to provide training on the utilization of plant diversity in Sidomulyo Village for creating ecoprint batik fabric. The method employed in this community engagement program involves training in ecoprint creation using natural dyes and various local plant leaves. Throughout the program's implementation, the activities have been successful and have yielded positive outcomes. Participants' knowledge about ecoprint has increased significantly, from 20% to 100%. The enthusiasm of the participants in participating in the ecoprint training has been remarkable. Beyond the knowledge enhancement, many participants have shown an interest in further developing ecoprint variations, and some are even keen on establishing ecoprint businesses. Through this program, it is hoped to stimulate the growth of the creative economy by harnessing the natural potential within the surroundings of Sidomulyo Village. All of these efforts contribute to the improvement of the well-being and empowerment of the local community.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low problem solving abilities of students. Therefore, one way to overcome thisproblem is to use the SSCS model. This research aims to determine students' problem solving abilities using theSSCS model assisted by flashcards. The method used is a quasi experiment with a non-equivalent control groupdesign, and uses a quantitative approach. The sample was selected using purpoive sampling technique. The researchresults showed that the problem solving abilities of experimental class students obtained an average pretest score of39.7 and an average posttest score of 71.7. Meanwhile, the control class obtained an average pretest score of 40.2and an average posttest score of 61.7. As well as the average posttest score for each indicator of problem solvingability in the experimental class and control class, the highest was the indicator of preparing a solution plan, and thelowest was the indicator of understanding the problem. The results of the prerequisite tests, namely the normalityand homogeneity tests, obtained that the pretest and posttest scores in the experimental class and control class werenormally distributed and had a homogeneous variance. Based on the hypothesis with the Independent Simple T-Test where sig results were obtained. (2-tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, thus it canbe concluded that there is a difference between classes with and without using the SSCS model assisted by flashcardson problem solving abilities in the excretory system material.

Abstract

A deeper understanding of local wisdom in the Kuta Traditional Village is expected to be the basis for developing more adaptive and sustainable conservation strategies, as well as making a real contribution to environmental conservation in Indonesia. This study aims to explore the role of local wisdom in environmental conservation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving in-depth interviews, observations, focus group discussions (FGD), and document analysis. The sources in this study were the Head of Kuta Village Customary, kuncen, administrators, and the community of Kuta Traditional Village. The focus of the study includes identifying forms of local wisdom in the fields of Natural Resource   management, water management, waste management, and climate change, analysis of conservation practices, challenges faced in implementing local wisdom, and its impact on environmental sustainability. The Kuta Traditional Village community has rich local wisdom in natural resource management, water management, waste management, and environmental conservation. However, to maintain these practices amidst modern challenges such as climate change and external pressures, continuous education, technological adaptation, and strong collaboration are needed. With joint efforts, communities can continue to preserve their environment in a way that is sustainable and relevant to current developments.

Abstract

This study aims to know the effect of discussion and communication skills of grade X students through the application of discovery learning and discovery learning models integrated with Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) on ecosystem material. The study used a quantitative approach with a pseudo-experimental design and cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then processed using SPSS 25 with normality, homogeneity, hypothesis, and further tests. The results showed that there was a significant effect of TAI-based discovery learning model on students' discussion skills with probability values of 0.011 and 0.032 (p < 0.05), and on communication skills with probability values of 0.042 and 0.003 (p < 0.05). Multivariate analysis proved the simultaneous effect on both skills compared to the conventional discovery learning group with a probability value of 0.001 (p < 0.05). Based on the research results indicate that the TAI integration discovery learning models have influence to ward student discussion and students communication ecosystem learning.

Abstract

Technological advancements are driving the business world to become more competitive with the presence of online promotions. This situation has pushed Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to find something that sets them apart from other businesses, that is through branding strategies. Based on survey and observation, MSMEs in Brabowan Village, Sambong, Blora have low knowledge about business branding and its application with digital technology such as social media. Therefore, a socialization and assistance program was held for the Jula Juli and Suyitno Jewelry Box SMEs regarding the importance of branding for the development of their businesses. This activity is carried out in three stages: the initial stage, the implementation stage, and the final stage. The result of this activity is an Instagram account for each MSME that contains all the branding components such as brand identity including name, logo, slogan, color identity, and profile video.

Abstract

The Saribumi Farmers Group is a community of vegetable and tobacco farmers in Cepogo Village. In agricultural activities, farmers still rely on chemical fertilizers which are relatively expensive and have the potential to damage soil quality. Crop failure during the rainy season causes vegetables to rot and are simply thrown away. Meanwhile, the vegetables that have been harvested are then sorted at Cepogo Market and the remaining sorting results become waste that accumulates and pollutes the environment. One alternative that can be done is by processing the waste into liquid organic fertilizer. This Leadership Project aims to educate and empower the Saribumi Farmers Group and the community around Cepogo Market in making liquid organic fertilizer from vegetable waste as well as educating the community on how to package and market fertilizer as an effort to increase income. Activity methods include activity planning, socializing the benefits of liquid organic fertilizer for the environment and its marketing, training on processing vegetable waste through a fermentation process to produce liquid organic fertilizer as a soil biofertilizer, and evaluating the effectiveness of training through results monitoring activities. The result of this activity is increased knowledge of members of the Saribumi Farmers Group and the community around Cepogo Market regarding the use and processing of vegetable waste as material for making liquid organic fertilizer which has economic value. The conclusion from this activity is that it can have a positive impact on farmers' knowledge and skills regarding liquid organic fertilizer.

Abstract

The independent curriculum emphasizes 21st-century skills, including the 4Cs (critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity). An important aspect of achieving the skills in the independent curriculum is the ability to present arguments. This study aims to (1) determine the implementation of the Argument-Driven Inquiry model based on SSI and (2) assess the improvement in scientific argumentation skills of Grade 10 students at State High School 7 Surakarta through the application of the Argument-Driven Inquiry model based on SSI. This study is a two-cycle Classroom Action Research. The population used was students in Class X-C of SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research data consisted of written scientific argumentation skills measured based on test results. Data collection techniques included tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was tested using the triangulation method. Data analysis techniques used qualitative descriptive methods. The achievement indicator was an overall increase in scientific argumentation skills to 75%. The research procedure included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed that the implementation of Argument Driven Inquiry based on SSI could improve students' scientific argumentation skills. The average scientific argumentation skills of students in the pre-intervention phase were 49%, in Cycle I 64,3%, and in Cycle II 75.9%. It is hoped that this research can be used as a reference for the application of Argument Driven Inquiry based on SSI for similar research and as a consideration for teachers to achieve optimal learning.
