Abstract

Mount Galunggung is one of the icons of natural tourism located in Tasikmalaya Regency. The natural beauty that stores various flora and fauna is one of the attractions for people visiting Mount Galunggung. One type of flora found on Mount Galunggung is the edelweiss flower (Anaphalis javanica), which can still be found relatively in the canyon area or the crater rim of Mount Galunggung. Along with the increasing number of tourists visiting Mount Galunggung, A. javanica has been significantly exploited because of the factors taken by tourists. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the morphological characteristics and distribution of edelweiss (A. javanica) in Mount Galunggung, Tasikmalaya Regency. The method used in this research is the descriptive quantitative survey technique. The variables in this study include the morphology and distribution of edelweiss (A. javanica). The study location was in the canyon area of Mount Galunggung, at an altitude of 1,000 – 1,150 meters above sea level. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with the consideration of locations that are overgrown by edelweiss (A. javanica). The line transect method measuring 2 x 2 m with a transect length of 50 meters was used to obtain distribution data. To obtain morphological data, the key to determining and identifying plant parts was used to van Steenis. The distribution pattern data was processed using the Morisita Index. The results showed that the morphological character of edelweiss in Mount Galunggung refers to the character of Anaphalis javanica, so it is inevitable that the species is Anaphalis javanica. Next, the distribution pattern of A. javanica found in Mount Galunggung is included in the random category, with the Morisita distribution index value of 0.36.

Abstract

Desa Genilangit merupakan salah satu desa dengan potensi wisata alam yang berada di Kecamatan Poncol,  Kabupaten Magetan. Adanya potensi wisata alam ini memancing munculnya berbagai jenis sektor UMKM.  Namun adanya pandemi COVID-19 menimbulkan berbagai dampak negatif, terutama di bidang perekonomian  dan pariwisata. Hampir seluruh pelaku UMKM dan sektor wisata mengalami penurunan pendapatan.  Penurunan ini memberikan dampak yang cukup signifikan karena berlangsung lama. Keadaan ini memaksakan  para UMKM untuk beradaptasi dengan menyesuaikan kondisi pandemi. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan  adalah dengan memulai penjualan secara online melalui e- commerce. Namun, pada kenyataannya, banyak  pegiat UMKM yang kurang mengenal penggunaan e-commerce. Sektor wisata pun perlu mulai bangkit karena  orang-orang mulai aktif beraktivitas secara luar jaringan, sehingga diperlukan promosi agar sektor wisata  kembali dikenal. Dengan hal ini, peran mahasiswa sebagai peserta KKN memberikan edukasi dan  pemberdayaan pengembangan UMKM dan sektor wisata yang ada di era digital. Program pemberdayaan  diharapkan dapat berdampak pada penjualan yang efektif, lebih produktif, lebih berkualitas serta produk dan  lokasi wisata dapat lebih dikenal agar bisa bersaing di tingkat nasional maupun internasional, serta menjangkau  pemasaran yang lebih luas sehingga dapat meningkatkan omset penjualan.

Abstract

Exploration to find a new population of Taxus sumatrana in the unexplored Gunung Dempo Protected Forest, South Sumatera was conducted in 2014. T. sumatrana, a protected species of medicinal plant, was looked for by following the hiking trails of Rimo and Kampung IV up to a height of 2.133 m asl. A total of 13 trees of T.  sumatrana were found at an altitude between 1.853 m and 2.133 m asl, with a diameter at breast height ranging from 22 cm to 120 cm. T. sumatrana seedlings or saplings were not found, confirming that these plants regenerate very poorly. Low natural regeneration is caused by a variety of factors, including the scarcity of female trees, a lack of light, an absence of suitable microsites, seed predation, and browser stress. Poor regeneration may cause a seedling establishment to fail, which will have an effect on the T. sumatrana tree demographics. Even though the habitat of T. sumatrana is in proper legal status, namely Mount Dempo Protected Forest, if no intervention is taken, this protected plant species may go extinct locally. T. sumatrana's natural regeneration is complicated. Therefore, it is essential to carry out an intervention to foster the seedling population so that it can continue to become a new regeneration. We must actively intervene, particularly through silvicultural intervention, in order to protect and conserve T. sumatrana.

Abstract

The main objective of science education is to prepare students to synthesize and evaluate scientific explanations. Students still have difficulty using the principles of science in proving scientific claims. This study aims to identify the obstacles faced by prospective science teacher students in preparing scientific explanations for the content of Static Electricity and Applications to Living Things. Descriptive research. Purposive sampling in semester 2 A amounted to 16 students. Learning uses the premise-reasoning-outcome-visual representation strategy to develop scientific explanations. Instruments using a questionnaire include four structured questions about the facts or principles of electricity, explanations of the causes of electrical phenomena in living things, explanations of electrical phenomena, and visual representation of electricity. Data analysis uses percentages based on specific criteria. Most of the students, as much as 57%, can express facts or principles of electricity. Most students, namely 50%, cannot explain electrical phenomena in living things. As many as 57% of students can explain electrical phenomena in everyday life. Almost all students, i.e., 79%, did not experience problems visually representing electrical phenomena. The study results showed that there were still students who had problems preparing scientific explanations. The main obstacle is that students have not been able to relate the explanation of electrical phenomena to living things. The implications of the research are to equip students to integrate science content, namely Physics and Biology.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan masyarakat nelayan di Desa Jaya Giri Kecamatan Sindangbarang dimaksudkan untuk membangun kemandirian social ekonomi lokal. Hal tersebut dapat ditempuh dengan pembangunan lokal yang berfoks pada pemberdayaan masyarakat setempat berbasis suatu komunitas tertentu. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat nelayan di sekitar perairan muara yang terdapat di Kecamatan Sindangbarang. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan langsung kepada masyarakat nelayan sebanyak 27 orang. Data pengetahuan masyaraat diambil melalui wawancara langsung dan pengisian angket. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dideskripsikan dan ditampilkan dalam bentuk diagram. Hasil pengabdian menunjukan bahwa masyarakat nelayan yang menghadiri kegiatan penyuluhan ini didominasi oleh laki-laki dengan rentang usia 17-60 tahun. Jumlah pendapatan perbulan yang diperoleh dari hasil perikanan berkisar antara 1-2 juta. Berdasarkan pengalaman menjadi nelayan, masyarakat nelayan yang hadir sudah puluhan tahun menekuni profesinya sebagai nelayan (sampai 35 tahun). Pemahaman nelayan mengenai diversifikasi pangan hasil tangkapan menunjukan adanya peningkatan. Berdasarkan wawancara sebelum dilakukan penyuluhan menunjukan bahwa para nelayan hanya mengetahui cara pengolahan secara konvensional (diolah langsung menjadi ikan goreng atau pepes). Setelah dilakukan penyuluhan melalui kegiatan seminar, masyarakat nelayan mendapatkan informasi terkini bagaimana cara mengolah hasil tangkapan ikan. Harapan kedepan yang diusulkan oleh nelayan berupa adanya pelatihan spesifik mengenai teknis mengolah hasil perikanan sesuai dengan perkembangan saat ini seperti cara membuat ice cream berbahan dasar ikan.

Abstract

Pendidikan pada abad ke 21 diarahkan untuk menyiapkan generasi pembelajar, pemecah masalah dan memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif.  Pembelajaran di kelas dirancang untuk memfasilitasi peserta didik dalam  mencapai tujuan tersebut dengan memberikan latihan-latihan yang berorientasi  pada kemampuan kemandirian belajar siswa. Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam pembelajaran memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik di era saat ini. Pasca pandemi Covid – 19 guru membutuhkan pendampingan agar bisa memenuhi  tuntutan pembelajaran abad 21 dengan ketentuan kenormalan baru yang sedang di tetapkan. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan sebagai upaya peningkatan kemampuan guru sekolah dasar diwilayah Priangan Timur provinsi Jawa Barat dalam memanfaatkan produk pengembangan pembelajaran abad 21 hasil mahasiswa pascasarajana program studi S2 PGSD UPI Cibiru. Adapun produk pembelajaran SD abad 21 yang telah dikembangkan adalah media dan bahan ajar terkini, strategi desain pembelajaran untuk pemenuhan literasi bahasa, matematika dan IPA untuk siswa sekolah dasar, pengembangan desain pembelajaran untuk menanamkan nilai dan karakter pancasila untuk siwa sekolah dasar, hasil telaah kebijakan dan sosialisasi implementasi kurikulum terkini untuk sekolah dasar, dan manajemen pengeolaan sekolah yang baik dan efektif sesuai dengan perkembagan abad 21. Secara rinci, tujuan pengabdian ini dapat diuraikan sebagai berikut : pertama memberikan pengetahuan kepada guru guru SD mengenai perkembangan implementasi kurikulum terkini dan manajemen kepemimpinannya, kedua melatih keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran untuk memenhi literasi kebangsaan, matematika, IPA dan Bahasa di sekolah dasar, ketiga  melatih dan membimbing guru–guru SD dalam memanfaatkan dan mengembangan media pembelajaran SD terkni dengan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian adalah workshop yang dilaksanakan selama bulan April  hingga November 2022. Evaluasi kegiatan menggunakan model CIPP yang dikembangkan oleh Daniel Stuffleabem. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menargetkan khalayak sasaran adalah guru sekolah dasar di wilayah priangan timur provinsi jawa barat. Pada program pengabdian ini akan diselenggrakan kegiatan dengan ketentuan di beberapa wilayah difasilitasi dengan tatap maya, namun di beberapa wilayah akan dijalankan secara tatap muka. Alasan pemilihan peserta adalah wilayah sekolah yang sebagian besar belum memiliki kerjasama dengan instansi program studi S2 PGSD UPI Kampus Cibiru yang merupakan program studi baru di lingkungan UPI Cibiru. Maka diharapkan dengan kegiatan pengabdian ini bisa menjadi inisasi awal program kerjasama program studi S2 PGSD UPI Kampus Cibiru dengan kelompok kerja guru di wilayah Priangan timur provinsi Jawa Barat secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This literature review aims to determine the impact of digital literacy on increasing teacher professionalism inteaching and learning activities in biology learning in Indonesia. The method used in this research uses the literaturereview method to analyze teachers' professional competence in digital literacy. The data collection technique is bysearching for journals relevant to this topic via Google Scholar and Sinta 1 - 6 for the last 5 year period from 2020- 2024. The results of the article analysis show that; Digital literacy has an important impact on improving a teacher'sprofessionalism in teaching and learning activities. Digital literacy has a significant impact on improving teacherprofessionalism because it allows teachers to create digital learning media that are more productive and help thelearning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the practicality of an e-module based on guided inquiry on the material of liquid pressure which was developed to empower student’science process skills. This type of research uses the research and development (R&D) method using the Four-D model. The practicality of the E-module is assessed through a questionnaire of teacher and student responses after using the e-module in the learning process. The initial test subjects consisted of 2 science teachers and 32 grade IX students at a state MTs. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results of the study showed that the developed e-module obtained an average practicality score of 95% which is included in the “very practical” category. This shows that the guided inquiry based e-module on the subject of liqquid pressure is suitable for use as a learning medium in the classroom. The practicality of the e-module is supported by ease of use, understandability of the contents of thr e-module, suitability with guided inquiry steps, empowering science process skills, attractive appearance, and time of use, thus making it easier for students to understand the concept of liquid pressure independently and in depth. Thus, this e-module is recommended as an effective alternative learning resource to improve the quality of physics learning.

Abstract

The rapid revolution of information technology makes some people not ready to adapt to societal changes; therefore, they cannot utilize it optimally. Instead of having a positive impact, on the contrary, this technological progress is considered to have a negative effect. In this context, it needs to be addressed in two ways: firstly, increasing digital literacy can provide an understanding of the use of platforms, especially on the Internet and social media; secondly, utilizing social media to improve the standard of living for the community. Through the community service program in the villages of Tambakboyo, Tawangsari, Sukoharjo, we are trying to provide literacy education regarding digital marketing strategies to the community. We conducted the workshop in the village because most people work in textile companies, which means they can develop their ability in sewing and creativity with the waste of patchwork to increase their income, especially women. Depart from our observation in the field, we found that not many mothers became entrepreneurs using patchwork, even though almost all of them had sewing machines. Besides that, many do not yet use social media for entrepreneurship for various reasons. However, we believe that small efforts to pioneer UMKM (Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (Micro Small and Medium Enterprises)) digital marketing are promising in the future since it will expand the UMKM network globally as a part of diplomacy economy.

Abstract

The ability to think creatively is one of the abilities needed in 21st century learning. However, based on the facts in the field, it can be seen that if the biology lesson is carried out, the teacher has not been oriented towa rds learning that can train students' creative thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to analyze students' creative thinking skills using the Simas Eric learning model assisted by Canva media on biodiversity material. The method used in this study is a quasi experiment method with a type of non-equivalent control group design using two classes, namely classes X-E and X-G and research subjects as many as 66 students. The instruments used in the from of descriptive  questions totaling 15 questions. Data analysis was carried out using Microsoft Excel. Data on students' creative thinking skills in the form of the average value of the experimental class pretest which is 50 and posttest 64, while the control class pretest average value is 52 and postest 59. The results of the hypothesis test showed that there was an effect of the Simas Eric learning model assisted by canva media on creative thinking skills on biodiversity material.
