Abstract

Teaching materials are learning resources to help teachers and students achieve learning goals.  Learning resources including enrichment teaching materials play an important role in supporting successful learning.  The aim of this study was to produce valid biology enrichment teaching materials based on research on macroscopic fungal diversity at the Nature Conservation Education Center in Bodogol, West Java.  This research is a qualitative descriptive study by describing based on the morphological characteristics of the types of macroscopic fungi that have been found at the research site, then arranged in the form of biological enrichment materials in the form of Student Worksheets (LKPD) on Mushrooms for class X SMA.  The LKPD that has been prepared is tested for suitability by three validators which include aspects of content suitability, language suitability aspects, and appearance suitability aspects.  The results showed that there were 79 species of macroscopic fungi found at the study site, some of the species found were used as enrichment material for LKPD for their morphological characteristics, classification and method of reproduction.  The LKPD validation results obtained a score of 89% and were in the very valid category so they were suitable for use by students.  The contribution of the results of this research to education can be an additional source of learning to enrich and improve students' understanding, especially on fungi.

Abstract

The purpose of this literature review is to explore the effectiveness of the application of Blended Project Based Learning integrated with Bioenial Website as an effort to improve Learning Creativity and Critical Thinking Skills. The research method used is literature review. The literature sources used in this study consist of various journals indexed from Google Scholar and Scopus. The research population is research journals relevant to the topic for various levels of study, from Early Childhood Education to Higher Education. The search criteria were the range of journals from 2019-2024, containing the same keywords as the research topic, and full papers. The results of the journal search by fulfilling the specified inclusion criteria found 960 journals. From this number, 10 journals were obtained that were in accordance with the objectives of this study. It can be concluded that the application of blended learning that integrates innovative and creative elements such as the Project Based Learning model integrated with the Bioenial Website that makes effective use of technology, shows great potential for improving learning creativity and critical thinking skills. However, there are challenges that need to be overcome to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

Komunitas belajar bagi guru sangat diharapkan dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka belajar. Salah satu pola yang tepat dalam membentuk komunitas belajar adalah pola Lesson study. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah mendampingi guru-guru di SMPN 1 Aikmel dalam membentuk komunitas belajar melalui pola Lesson Study. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah PRA (Participatory Rural Apraisal), yaitu metode yang melibatkan guru dan siswa sebagai khalayak sasaran dan subjek partisipan. Pendampingan dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan meliputi: (a) sosialisasi tentang Lesson Study, (b) Pembentukan Tim Lesson study di sekolah, (c) Menyusun Action Plan bersama tim, (d) Melaksanakan Lesson study dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil kegiatan yang sudah dilaksanakan terbentuknya komunitas belajar bagi guru di SMPN 1 Aikmel pada implementasi pembelajaran IPA yang dilaksanakan dengan pola Lesson Study. Guru-guru bersama-sama merancang pembelajaran pada tahap Plan, bersama-sama mengamati proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru model pada tahap Do, dan Bersama-sama melakukan refleksi pembelajaran untuk mendapatkan pembelajaran berharga pada tahap See.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media PhET Simulation terhadap hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada materi pewarisan sifat makhluk hidup. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik serta kurang menariknya media pembelajaran yang digunakan di salah satu SMP Negeri di Bondowoso. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Pre-Test and Post-Test with Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media PhET Simulation dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan media konvensional (LKS). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes berupa pretest dan posttest. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik non-parametrik Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, dengan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media PhET Simulation memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. Media ini mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik melalui visualisasi interaktif, serta mempermudah guru dalam menyampaikan materi secara lebih efektif. Oleh karena itu, media PhET Simulation direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran sains untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik.

Abstract

Kegiatan evaluasi proses pembelajaran pada peserta didik menjadi tanggung jawab siswa dan satuan pendidikan yang bersangkutan, yang meliputi proses dan hasil belajar dengan menerapkan prinsip ketuntasan belajar secara berkesinambungan. Penilaian HOTS sangat penting diterapkan pada proses pembelajaran agar peserta didik dapat dibimbing untuk tidak hanya memiliki kemampuan pada bidang pengetahuan dasar saja, namun siswa dituntut untuk dapat berpikir lebih lanjut. Peningkatan keterampilan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran melalui penilaian HOTS berbasis internet yaitu dengan kegiatan diskusi dan pelatihan sangat dibutuhkan oleh guru Biologi atau mata pelajaran lainnya di Jabodetabek secara hybrid. Kegiatan tersebut bertujuan supaya siswa semakin terampil dalam menerapkan penilaian auntentik dengan baik. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah para tenaga pendidik di Jabodetabek. Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang penilaian HOTS sebagai bentuk proses evaluasi pembelajaran yang bermakna. Manfaat PKM ini, khususnya bagi tenaga pendidik Biologi SMA di Jabodetabek adalah memberikan penjelasan tentang pengertian, bentuk dan implementasi penilaian HOTS. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat direncanakan diterapkan pada siswa MGMP BIOLOGI di Jakarta Timur melalui kegiatan luring atau tatap muka. Target peserta adalah 50 peserta secara online ataupun luring. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa presentasi dan diskusi tentang pengembangan penilaian HOTS. Luaran yang akan dihasilkan pada kegiatan ini yaitu publikasi pada jurnal nasional, HKI, Video kegiatan pengabdian yang diunggah pada YouTube, dan publikasi kegiatan pada media massa. Abstract

In an increasingly advanced digital era, the utilization of technology in education is a must to improve the qualityof learning. One of the innovations that are starting to be widely applied is the use of interactive learning media,such as flipbooks. Flipbook is a digital media that presents learning materials in the form of interactive booksequipped with various features, such as animation, audio, and video. This allows students to learn more dynamicallyand fun, so it is expected to increase their interest and understanding of the material presented. This literature studyaims to review various literatures that discuss the effectiveness of using flipbooks as interactive learning media inSMA/SMK. This article uses a literature review research method with reference sources derived from previousresearch journals. The results of the journal search were 7 journals that met the inclusion criteria determined by theresearcher. The research found most used ADDIE. There were different results in each study, but still showedsimilarities, namely an increase in learning in each study. Based on the literature review that has been conducted, itcan be concluded that the use of flipbooks as interactive learning media in SMA / SMK has significant potential inincreasing the effectiveness of learning. Flipbooks offer various advantages, such as a more interesting presentationof material, high interactivity, and the ability to integrate various multimedia elements. This allows students to moreeasily understand the concepts taught, as well as increase their motivation and involvement in the learning process

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to measure students' critical thinking skills on environmental material with SOLO taxonomy. Low critical thinking skills can be trained by applying the Problem Based Learning model combined with Group Investigation. Through this model students are trained to find environmental problems that exist around them through investigative activities, analyze these problems, and present them in front of the class. This research method is descriptive qualitative, with Lesson Study pattern. The research subjects were 30 second semester students. The instrument to measure critical thinking skills uses a test with indicators of providing arguments, evaluation, deduction, and induction. The assessment rubric refers to the SOLO taxonomy, consisting of five categories namely Prestructural, Semistructural, Unistructural, Multistructural, Relational, and Extended abstract. Data analysis was conducted using Gain score. The results of the study in LS 1 showed that students' critical thinking skills were in the Prestructural category as much as 2.75%, semistructural 15.06%, unistructural 52.05%, Multistructural 23.28%, and Relational 6.84%. The Gain score results show 0.30, included in the moderate category, meaning that there is an increase in critical thinking skills, namely at the relational and multistructural thinking stages.

Abstract

Adequate nutrition is needed by every individual, including school-age children. The aim of this activity is to provide education on the potential of fish resources to increase children's nutritional knowledge and immunity. The method used is lecture and discussion with a participatory approach. The material is given in the form of presentations or lectures, as well as watching videos about the benefits of consuming fish and its processed products. This activity was carried out at SMP Negeri 6 Maluku Tengah, Haruku Island, Central Maluku Regency. The result of implementing the activity is that children have insight and knowledge of fish processing models, nutritional value in increasing immunity. The evaluation results based on the post test show that the source of fish for consumption is 60% of the catch, 100% of the fish obtained is fresh, and the reason for consuming fish is to improve health by 45%, and the traditional processing model is 89% in the form of yellow sauce fish dishes 44%.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are an important component of 21st century skills, but students' skills in Indonesia are still low. This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills through a socio-scientific issues-based learning model. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design involving students in class X.9 as the control class and students in class X.10 as the experimental class at SMA 5 Depok. The results showed that the socio-scientific issues learning model showed an increase in students' critical thinking skills with a significance value of 0.09. The average pretest score of the experimental class was 63.05, and after being treated, the average posttest score increased to 67.26. The standard deviation for the pretest was 12.46, while for the posttest it was 16.04. When compared to the PBL/PJbL learning model that teachers usually use for ecological concepts, critical thinking skills showed a significance value of -0.12. This significance value indicates that the two classes are not significantly different in critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Kemuning, Kecamatan Ngargoyoso, Kabupaten Karanganyar, yang terletak di lereng barat Gunung Lawu dan memiliki iklim tropis serta kondisi alam yang terjaga. Desa Kemuning dikenal dengan usaha budidaya ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus) yang masih kurang menjanjikan, terutama di Dusun Tanen. Program pengembangan budidaya ikan nila dilakukan oleh tim dari mahasiswa Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) dengan menggunakan teknologi monosex. Teknologi monosex bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bibit ikan jantan berkualitas tinggi melalui proses pemijahan yang dibantu oleh penggunaan hormon untuk mengubah jenis kelamin ikan. Program melibatkan pembinaan teknis kepada petani oleh mahasiswa bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mereka dalam budidaya ikan. Hasil dari program menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kualitas dan kuantitas bibit ikan nila yang dihasilkan, yang berdampak positif pada kesejahteraan masyarakat. Pelaksanaan program monosex menghadapi beberapa tantangan, termasuk kurangnya dukungan teknologi dari instansi terkait dan kondisi lingkungan yang kurang ideal, seperti suhu air yang terlalu dingin. Tindak lanjut yang direncanakan berupa pembuatan alat pengatur suhu air untuk kolam pemijahan guna meningkatkan keberhasilan pelaksanaan program di masa mendatang.
