Abstract

The purpose of this research was obtained empirical evidences and found the intelligibility of the phenomenon of the effect of bureaucracy reform, leader skill, and good government governance implementation to employee performance and to observe how it’s implication to service quality. The research was conducted at five one-stop licencing service agencies at four regent, that are Cirebon, Kuningan, Indramayu and Majalengka, and Cirebon City with 120 sample. The research method used descriptive and verification method. The independent variables were : bureaucracy reform (X1), leader skill (X2), and good government governance implementation (X3). Employee performance (X4) as intervening variable and the dependent variable was service quality (Y). SEM analysis was used to examine the models and hypothesis. The result of this research showed that bureaucracy reform significantly affected on employee performance,, leader skill significantly affected on employee performance, good government governance implementation significantly affected on employee performance Employee performance significantly affected on service quality.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to obtain empirical evidence and to find out transparent phenomena as well as conclusions regarding the influence of the organizational commitment, organization culture and transformational leadership toward good corporate governance and its implication on the corporate financial performance of some state owned companies in Indonesia. Organization culture is the major variable that influences good corporate governance in which the dimensions of professionalism and team work have dominantly contributed to organization culture. The second major variable that influences a good corporate governance is the organizational commitment. Transformational leadership becomes the minor variable that influences good corporate governance with its dimensions of intellectual stimulation and individual consideration. In addition, the dimensions of return on equity, current ratio and collecting periods become the most dominant factors/elements of the corporate financial performance. As a result, those state owned companies should optimally improve the ownership structure, organization culture, and transformational leadership including good corporate governance in order to increase the corporate financial performance of those state owned companies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical evidence and to determine the phenomenon transparently and conclusions about the effect of the work environment, work discipline and motivation on job satisfaction and its implications for teacher performance. The research method using descriptive analysis and verification, with data analysis techniques using Path Analysis. Using probability sampling with proportional stratified cluster random sampling, with a sample size of 248 samples. The results showed that the working environment conditions that are in both criteria, conditions of work discipline of teachers at both criteria criteria, conditions and motivate the teachers were on good criteria, conditions job satisfaction, are on good criteria, and the condition of teacher performance, are in good criteria. There are later proved significant influence of the working environment to the satisfaction of the Master, There is a significant influence on the discipline of work toward satisfaction, there is a significant effect of work motivation on teacher satisfaction. Simultaneously there is a significant influence of the work environment, work discipline and motivation of teachers to work satisfaction of teachers, with the magnitude of the effect of 69.80 percent, while the influence of other variables outside the model (ε1) amounted to 30.20%. And there is significant influence of satisfaction on the performance of teachers, with the magnitude of the effect of 79.30 percent, while the influence of other variables outside the model (ε2) amounted to 20.70 percent.

Abstract

The current phenomenon shows that despite the growth of market share increase, but if it is not accompanied by the ability to deliver value to the customer, then the customer will in turn be abandoned. Thus it becomes an important thing for a company to perform activities of creation and adding value to the customer explained. Therefore the competition that occurs is essentially strives to create superior customer value. With regard to customer value Philip Kotler and Gary Armstrong (2008: 24) states, that by creating superior customer value, the company creates highly satisfied customers and remain loyal and want to buy again. The phenomenon that shows the problems of customer satisfaction Honda brand vehicles appear from the market share, which tends to decrease, as explained above. Based on these explanations, the formulation of the problem is; (1) How is the marketing mix, after-sales service, customer value, and customer satisfaction motorcycles Honda brand in Bandung, (2) How is the relationship between the marketing mix with after-sales service of two-wheel motor vehicles Honda brand in Bandung. (3) the extent of the marketing mix and sales services affect the customer value of two-wheel motor vehicles Honda brand in Bandung, (4) the extent of customer value effect on customer satisfaction motorcycles Honda brand in Bandung. In accordance with the nature of research is descriptive and verification, in this study used methods of descriptive survey and explanatory survey. The unit of analysis of this research is the level of the individual, namely the two-wheeled motor vehicle production Honda brand in 2009 in Bandung. Observations using time horizon with cross section data. Descriptive analysis of the research data can be used to enrich the discussion, and to describe the condition variable being studied.In the analysis of verification will be testing the hypothesis using structural equation modeling. Based on the research that has been done on the effect of the marketing mix performance and the performance of after-sales service to the customer value as well as its implications on customer satisfaction motorcycles of Honda production in 2009 in Bandung, conducted on 381 customers. A number of conclusions as follows: Performance marketing mix motorcycles of Honda production in 2009 in the city as a whole has done well, performance marketing mix motorcycles of Honda production in 2009 in the city as a whole has done well , performance marketing mix and the performance of after-sales services simultaneously affect the value of customers motorcycles of Honda production in 2009 in the city of Bandung, performance marketing mix affect the value of customers motorcycles of Honda production in 2009 in Bandung, performance service sales affect the value of customers motorcycles of Honda production in 2009 in the city of Bandung, customer value effect on customer satisfaction motorcycle brand Honda year 2009 production in Bandung.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that the vocational teachers in Indonesia have not been able to demonstrate the adequate work performance. The phenomenon of high and low performance of teachers is predicted by variables that affect it, such as teacher competence, work motivation and job satisfaction, all of which are driven by the variable of principal’s leadership. This study used survey approach with the type of explanation verification research on 366 teachers. Data analysis and interpretation of the results used descriptive analysis and verification (SEM). The result of descriptive analysis indicate that: (a) task-oriented behavior is more prominent in the leadership of principals than relationship-oriented behavior, (b) Not all teachers have a standard of professional competence, (c) Not all teachers demonstrate aspects of the high valence and instrumentality in supporting their performance, (d) There is still a gap between the actual conditions of high employment and expectations about the job in supporting the performance of teachers, mainly due to the dissatisfaction of teachers with the reward system, (e) The performance of teachers has not been fully demonstrated commitment to students and students’ learning, professional knowledge, teaching practice, leadership and school community, and continued professional learning. Results of verification analysis show that the principal’s leadership has a direct impact on teacher competence, work motivation of teachers, and teacher job satisfaction. However, the principal’s leadership does not imply directly to the performance of teachers, but through teacher competence, work motivation of teachers, and teacher job satisfaction. In this way, the principal’s leadership may act more as a driver or enabler that allows an increase in competence, motivation and job satisfaction of teachers so that in turn it would improve teacher the performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze analyze and assess the effect of school leadership, teacher competence and teacher morivasi of organizational culture and performance of teachers. The research method used is descriptive and verification with a sample of 210 teachers of SMK Negeri. Data were analyzed using analysis techniques Path (Path Analysis). These results indicate that: there is a significant influence of the Leadership Principal of organizational culture influence SMK with the amount of 16,10 percent. Where the principal leadership variables have the greatest influence both. Kemudin significant influence of teacher competence on organizational culture influence SMK magnitude of 3,50 percent. Where the competence variables have the greatest influence. There is a significant influence on the motivation of teachers of organizational culture influence SMK with the amount of 13,70 percent. Where the motivation variable gives the smallest influence. And there is a significant influence on the leadership of the principal, teacher competence and motivation of teachers, the organizational culture SMK, with the magnitude of the effect of 74,30 percent, while the influence of other variables amounting to 25,70 percent. As well as the significant influence of organizational culture SMK on teacher performance with the amount of influence by 79,20 percent, while the influence of other variables amounting to 20.80 percent.

Abstract

This research is expected to contribute to development economics in particular, external and internal environment, business ethics, business partnership, performance small enterprises, strategic management, marketing management, human resource management, and economic in general.The study was conducted by using descriptive and inductive methods, namely collecting, presenting and analyzing and testing hypotheses, and making inferences and suggestions. Research conducted on batik cap small businesses in West Java with a sample size of 116 companies through simple random sampling technique proportionally. The method of analysis using structural equation model (SEM). This research, obtained some conclusions as follows: 1) The external environment has shown a fairly good level categories and need to be considered regarding the certainty of government in setting the wage system. Internal environment has shown a good level categories, but keep in mind the human resource owned by the company. Business ethics is a good show category, but still need to acquisition capitalization companies generally obtained directly.2) Partnership shows a fairly good level category, but it should be noted again the level of profits that have not been in accordance with the company's goals. 3) Performance of small businesses showed a fairly good level category, but should be considered companies are always trying to acquire new customers. 4) Based on SEM analysis showed that the external environment, internal environment, and business ethics simultaneously positive and significant impact on the partnership variable of 64.6%. External environment partially positive and significant impact to business partnerships of 15.51%.Internal environment positive and significant impact to business partnerships of 28.73%.Business ethics positive and significant effect to business partnerships of 20.30%. 5) Business Partnership positive and significant impact to Small enterprises Performance of 84.3%.

Abstract

The study on the practice of value-based management was conducted at Binus University.This study is a single case study that uses qualitative method and snowball sampling technique.Data was collected through observation, interviews, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Researchers then conducted an analysis and interpretation of data related to values-based management practice and it’s impact on sustainable competitive advantage of Binus University. This study states us that value-based management plays an important role in management practices contained at Binus University as a public institution. Value-based management is implemented through two complementary stages: (1) value creation as the initial process of values institutionalization ​​in management practices, and (2) value management as an effort to maintain and incorporate those values ​​to a character on a personal level, and culture at the organizational level. The results further show us that value based management have a significant impact to sustainable competitive advantages of Binus University, which can be seen from the achievements of the institution, a high level of public trust, as well as the interest of the company to graduate students of Binus University.

Abstract

Position of Indonesia-Singapore borders are ais very strategic, such a position, however, has not been optimally utilized. Borders area is an enticingentrance for investors. Accordingly, there will be a need of integrated management so as to be able to improve competitiveness mainly in the field of investment and trade. The reason why management model more suitably refers to the IBM because the model in some countries has successfully maximized function o fborders area. This research aims to study and give input into implementation of Border Management mainly Integrated Border Management (IBM) in the area of Indonesia Borders, especially Indonesia-Singapore Borders, as an effort to promote Indonesia competitiveness in the sector of trade and investment. This research employs single case study qualitative analysis approach. The research focuses on the making of competitiveness of investment and trade in Indonesia’s borders region (Riau Island), referring to IBM and competitiveness parameter so as to be towards single face inborders management in borders area. Location of doing research is Batam and Tanjungpinang. Informen are involved in this study could be Secretary and Staff of Borders Management Board of Riau Island Province, Workers of Riau Island Immigration Office, Tanjungpinang City Customs Office, BP-Batam, PT KSP and expert judgment Prof. Asep Warlan, Prof. Rusadi Kantaprawira and Agus GK (Komisi I DPR-RI) The results of the research demontrated that: (1) Impediments to Indonesia-Singapore (Batam-Bintan) Border Area Management are lack of manpower owned by Border Management Board of Riau Islands Province, increasingly global trade, lack of law and regulations of borders, (2) IBM based- border are a management has been running, however has not been so adequate in line with challenges of current border management, (3) Mechanism of trade and company permissions to run all their business transactions are done through one office, whereas investment procedure in Indonesia-Singapore border area is done through one roof policy, (4) Implementation of Integrated Border Management principle to management of border in the area of Indonesia-Singapore border has referred to the emerging of Single Administrative Document (SAD) and Single Window (SW), however implementation of Single Window in the area of Indonesia-Singapore border has not been optimal. The results of the research might contribute to development of management science mainly border management, and might be are ference to implementation of border area management strategy done by National Board of Border Management, in special Border Management Board of Riau Islands Province by referring to IBM (SAD and SW) insearch of moving towards single face in border management.

Abstract

Human resources (HR) is one key factor in global competition, creating quality and have the skills and highly competitive it is necessary. The government is attempting to realize this by issuing the policy on income tax and employee income tax in particular is expected, it will improve performance and motivation among employees to compete can do better. The core of this study to assess the influencing of motivation, competitiveness, discipline, understanding and awareness of compliance in implementing the Income Tax Employees against peformance.This study is a description of survey research. Papulasi of this study were all employees working at company option bonded zone while the sample in this study were employees who worked at the company's choice of the bonded zone by proportional clustrer sampling technique. The data collected were then tested with Pearson correlation statistical tests.’ Techniqueanalyses were used path analyisis. The results obtained for the motivation variable, competencies variabel, the work discipline variable againt employee performance are on positif; and also the performance employee and understandingon tax rulled againtemployee givepositif awareness in implementing the Employee Income Tax compliance.Based on the processing, analysis and discussion of data from the variables of motivation, competence, discipline, and understanding tax regulations related to its effect on performance, as well as the awareness of employees to pay income tax (PPh.). Get the highest criteria of good and excellent is not it a relationship between variables have a positive or interconnected relationships.
