Abstract

Emotional anxiety often occurs in pregnant mothers 29.2% compared to postpartum mothers 16.5%. Anxiety that occurs during pregnancy can affect between 15-23% and can increase the negative risk for mothers and children born. Indonesia reported that 28.7% experienced anxiety in the third trimester of pregnancy, anxiety during pregnancy can increase before delivery which is manifested as anxiety about having a miscarriage, anxiety about fetal abnormalities, fear of giving birth, and pain during delivery. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Smart Education Based on Family Approach Therapy (SMARTED B FATHER) intervention to reduce a pregnant mother’s anxiety in the third trimester. This study used a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest research design with a control group design which was divided into 2 groups (17 respondents in the intervention group and 17 respondents in the control group). The results of the normality test of the data obtained that the data were normally distributed, so the results of the analysis using paired t-test showed that there was a decrease in anxiety levels before and after the Smarted B Father Intervention in the intervention group (p-value 0.002) and there was no decrease in anxiety levels in the control group (p-value 0.113), while the results of the analysis using an unpaired t-test showed that there was a difference in the level of depression after the Smarted B Father Intervention between the intervention and control groups with a p-value of 0.001. This research can also provide recommendations to health workers, especially midwives to provide services in the form of complementary care services

Smoking is a cause of many chronic diseases such as lung cancer, oral cancer, to cardiovascular disease. Smoking addiction is caused by the nicotine in cigarettes. Thus Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) was created as a substitute for nicotine consumption without smoking. While another drug that is widely prescribed is varenicline. However, varenicline is not yet available in Indonesia and the use of NRT is still very rare. Therefore, research is needed to compare the efficacy of the two. The research was conducted by studying the literature of international journals and obtained 12 journals that match the research title. As a result, varenicline monotherapy proved to be more effective than NRT or a combination of both.

Abstract

Drug abuse is an act of using one or a combination of drugs in relatively high doses with the aim not for medication but to achieve a pleasure without regard to other aspects. Drug abuse can be motivated by several factors such as a weak personality, a high sense of curiosity, peer invitations, social problems and pressures, and the ease with which drugs can be obtained at low prices. One of the drugs that is often abused is tramadol. This is because tramadol can provide a euphoric effect. Without realizing it, tramadol abuse actually causes other, more dangerous effects. Therefore, writing this review article aims to provide an overview of other effects resulting from the abuse of tramadol drugs. The writing of this article review uses a systematic review method in which data is taken from national and international scientific articles or journals with a limitation of publication in the last 10 years. Articles obtained from searches using Google Scholar, PubMed, and Science Direct. From the results of the review, it is known that the misuse of tramadol drugs can be fatal because it can cause vomiting, seizures, sedation, and even death. Not only that, tramadol in high doses also affects fertility factors such as sperm defects and erectile dysfunction. Special attention is needed for cases of tramadol abuse because most of these activities are carried out by teenagers.

Abstract

In general, efforts to treat premenstrual syndrome only focus on decreasing the intensity of the menstrual pain scale (dysmenorrhea) through the administration of drugs such as painkillers. However, the use of these drugs does not include the treatment of psychological symptoms experienced by women in the premenstrual syndrome phase. Alternative treatment efforts as non-pharmacological preventive measures are needed to improve the health status of women when they are in the menstrual phase, one of which is by doing yoga exercises. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of anxiety and sleep quality of women of childbearing age during premenstrual syndrome with yoga practice. This study uses a quantitative research method with a pre-experimental approach with one group pre-test and post-test without control design. Sampling technique using Accidental Sampling. The number of research samples was 38 women of childbearing age. Data were collected using an anxiety level questionnaire using a standardized questionnaire (HRS-A) and a sleep quality questionnaire using a standard PSQI questionnaire. Bivariate analysis using Wilcoxon test. The results of the Wilcoxon test statistic obtained a significance value of 0.000, meaning the significance value <α (0.05), meaning that there was a significant change between anxiety before and after the intervention was given. The results of the statistical test of sleep quality obtained a significance value of 0.000, meaning the significance value < (0.05) which means that there is a significant change between sleep quality before and after being given yoga practice interventions in women of childbearing age when facing premenstrual syndrome. The conclusion of this study is that regular yoga practice can reduce anxiety and improve sleep quality for women of childbearing age. Yoga practice can be used as an appropriate non-pharmacological treatment in the treatment of premenstrual syndrome.

Abstract

According to data from Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas) in 2018, the prevalence of anemia in Indonesia was 48.9%, with the highest prevalence of anemia at the age of 15-24 years and the least at the age of 45-54 years. Factors for the occurrence of iron nutritional anemia in adolescent girls include lack of education about iron nutritional anemia, unsupportive environmental factors, lack of attention to daily nutritional intake, and lack of implementation of preventive measures from the government by consuming blood-added tablets. This study uses the review article method with research data sources based on journal publications on the internet. Based on the results of the review article conducted, it can be concluded that the effect of giving blood-added tablets can increase hemoglobin (Hb) levels so as to avoid the incidence of anemia (Hb <12 mg/dL) and reduce the prevalence of anemia in Indonesia..

Abstract

HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus infection and AIDS stands for Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome. HIV and AIDS cannot be separated because AIDS is a disease caused by the HIV virus. The HIV virus will attack the human immune system, more specifically attacking helper T cells, this will cause a decrease in the immune system of infected individuals. The risk of spreading HIV/AIDS infection occurs more through unsafe sex than through drug use. There are so many negative impacts obtained by ODHA both from the outside environment and from within themselves

Abstract

A stroke is a disease or functional problem of the brain that manifests as nerve paralysis due to a blockage in the blood supply to the brain. Acute stroke is a brain disorder caused by the interruption of blood flow to the brain due to a blockage (ischemic stroke) or hemorrhage (hemorrhagic stroke). Individuals with diabetes mellitus with ischemic stroke exhibit a distinct clinical pattern and a more favorable neurovascular outcome than patients without diabetes. Objective: to compare the severity of non-hemorrhagic stroke between individuals with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Type 2 and those without Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Type 2 using The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Methods: Analytical observational research design with a retrospective methodology. 30 responders were divided into 15 stroke patients with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Type 2 and 15 stroke patients without Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Type 2. The average value or mean rank for the Stroke group with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Type 2 was 18.77, while it was 12.23 for the Stroke group without Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Type 2. The P-Value for the test is 0.076. Results The P value is greater than 0.05, indicating that there is no significant difference between stroke with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Type 2 and stroke without Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Type 2 with regard to severity. As stated previously, the outcomes can be affected by the risk factor of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Type 2, which comprises of multiple risk factors that can have an effect.
