Abstract

Pre-school age children in their growth and development experience many changes, both physical and mental changes. This is where the role of parents is needed, because in this preschool period the child's character and behavior are formed. However, many parents follow the requests of the child too much, so that the child gets what he wants, and when one day the parents are unable to fulfill his request, the child can have a tantrum. Tantrums are episodes of peak anger that are usually described by rolling crying, and extreme frustration, because it can hurt the child. Temper tantrums are strongly influenced by parenting patterns, the way parents raise their children plays a role in causing tantrums. Parents who dominate children, fathers and mothers who disagree, and inconsistent parenting causes temper tantrums. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between parenting and temper tantrum behavior in preschool children in Tualang Village, Kec. Siempat Nempu Hulu, Kab. Dairi, Sidikalang. Abstract

Endodontic regeneration treatment is a biological procedure designed to replace the biological structure of damaged teeth. Pulp tissue engineering in endodontic regeneration therapy combines three components, namely stem cells, scaffolds, and growth factors. Apatite carbonate has proven potential as a scaffold for bone regeneration. This study aimed to investigate the potential of apatite carbonate as a scaffold for the regeneration of the pulp dentin complex tissue. The method used is a literature study. Article searches, in English and Indonesian, were conducted through Sciencedirect and PubMed. The articles used are articles published in the last 10 years. The keywords used were endodontic regeneration, scaffolding, and carbonate apatite, then the articles were re-filtered according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. A total of 12 literatures were included in this review. The results of data synthesis indicate that apatite carbonate is a biomaterial that has biocompatible properties and bioactivity to induce tissue regeneration, especially hard bone tissue. The stability of the material so that it can be modified to adjust its porous size and good biodegradability also supports its potential as a scaffold material. The material also has a chemical structure similar to bone and teeth, so it has the potential to induce the proliferation and differentiation of odontoblasts which are important in endodontic regeneration.

Abstract

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is the death of an infant without known cause after comprehensive examination including scene investigation, autopsy, and history of the previous disease. Knowledge is the result of know something after sense a certain object. The incidence of SIDS in 2007 was 2.5% of the total neonatal mortality rate in Indonesia. This study's purpose is to understand the level of SIDS knowledge of general practitioners and risk factors for SIDS known by general practitioners. This is a descriptive survey study with a total of 58 general practitioners who provide health services as respondents. The sample is chosen by purposive sampling technique. The majority of respondents are women with an average age range from 26-35 years old. Sixty-nine percent respondent has a good level of SIDS knowledge and sixty-seven point two respondent notes preterm born as a possible risk factor for SIDS. This level of knowledge on SIDS may be caused by low detected cases of SIDS in Indonesia. From this result, we suggest holding more symposiums about SIDS that aim to increase general practitioner ability to diagnose SIDS

Abstract

CT-Scan is one of the imaging modalities in the field of radiodiagnostics that can produce axial, coronal, and sagittal slices of the object or patient performing the examination. CT-Scan can be applied to diagnose trauma in cancer cases. The use of CT-Scan aircraft certainly provides a fairly large radiation dose compared to other diagnostic imaging modalities (Bushberg, 2012). This study aimed to determine the effect of the thickness (diameter) of the object on the radiation dose. This study's benefit is providing accuracy in receiving the body's absorbed dose on CT-Scan examination. This research is experimental. The study used a sample of 5 phantoms with variations in the diameter of 8 cm, 16 cm, 24 cm, 32 cm, and 40 cm. The data is obtained from the phantom scan results, which are inputted into the IndoseCT program. The data generated by IndoseCT will be analyzed regarding the amount of radiation dose received by each phantom size. The final result expected from this research is the evaluation of measurement or monitoring of doses to patients who can support radiation protection programs in ensuring patient safety.

Abstract

The Anode Heel effect is the difference in X-ray intensity due to the slope of the anode target plane. The X-ray intensity at the cathode is more significant than on the anode side. Differences in X-ray intensity affect the radiographic image, especially the density value. Heel Effect Anodes in radiological examinations are used on objects with different thicknesses. This study aimed to determine the Effect of Heel Effect Anodes on Image Homogeneity Based on X-Ray Collimated Light Beam Areas. The samples used three collimation area sizes (18x24 cm, 24x30 cm, 35x43cm). Each collimation area is carried out three times exposure. The resulting radiograph is divided into several quadrants, and density measurements are taken. Then the analysis was carried out by finding the difference in the density of each quadrant on each radiograph by performing univariate analysis, and then bivariate analysis was carried out. Homogeneous images can be seen from the density difference value on one radiograph that cannot be more than 0.1. The results showed a significant effect from the anode to the cathode on the collimation area of 18x24 cm, 24x30 cm, and 35x43cm on the density value with p = 0.000. There is a difference in the anode to cathode relationship category concerning density; the collimation area of 18x24 cm has a reasonably strong relationship. In contrast, the relationship is strong in the collimation area of 24x30 cm and 35 x 43 cm. The relationship is positive. The closer to the cathode, the greater the density. The greater the collimation area, the stronger the difference in density homogeneity on the radiograph. The closer to the cathode, the greater the density produced. There is a significant difference between the area of the irradiation field and the density, and it is recommended that during an inspection, the thick object is placed on the cathode side, and the thin object is placed on the anode side to produce optimal image quality.

Abstract

Entrance Surface Dose (ESD) is one of the units of quantity used in diagnostics to express the radiation dose received by the object (phantom or patient) measured at the centre of the main beam on the surface of the phantom or patient (UNSCEAR, 2010). According to Bushong (2008), the high kV technique states that to get the same optical density, with an increase in tube voltage (kV) of 15%, a 50% decrease in the mAs value is required. This study aims to calculate the ESD value if applied in the use of the high kV technique in lumbar irradiation using the Cobia Smart R/F measuring instrument. In this study, the authors applied the high kV technique using 65 kV and 16 mAs, 75 kV and 8 mAs, and 85 kV and 4 mAs. The dose value measured in the Cobia Smart R/F tool is then entered into the formula to calculate the Entrance Surface Dose (ESD) value. The results showed that the Entrance Surface Dose (ESD) produced at 65 kV, 75 kV, and 85 kV, respectively, were: 1.3597 mGy, 0.9728 mGy, and 0.7055 mGy. From the Diagnostic Reference Level (DRL) data released by BAPETEN in 2020, it is known that the DRL value for the Lumbar AP examination is 1.8 mGy. In this case, the high kV technique can minimize the dose to the examined object.
