Abstract

The surgical procedure is a potential or actual stressor or threat that causes anxiety in the patient. The causes of preoperative anxiety are related to surgical procedures and anesthesia which cause an increase in heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and reduce the patient's energy level. Anxiety in pregnant women who will undergo sectio caesarea surgery will result in an increase in the mother's vital signs and stress on the fetus. The purpose of this study was to identify the level of anxiety in preoperative sectio caesarea patients at Harapan Pematang Siantar Hospital. This study uses a descriptive design on 66 pregnant women who will give birth by section caesarea through total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out in April 2023 with the Amsterdam Preoperative anxiety and Information Scale questionnaire. The results showed that the respondents' anxiety levels were in the moderate (65.2%) and mild (3.0%) categories. Preoperative anxiety is strongly influenced by the understanding of information and the readiness of the mother physically and mentally. Mothers who will give birth by caesarean section should be trained in relaxation techniques, given clear information about the procedure and effects of anesthesia, accompanied by their husbands or family members so that they have internal motivation that can reduce anxiety levels so that the operation goes well.

The Chi-Square statistical test and multiple logistic regression were used in the statistical test analysis, and the findings revealed a significant relationship (p-value 0.05) between incentive variables (p=0.037), working environment conditions (p=0.001), training (p=0.000), legal protection rights (p=0.002), and rewards (p=0.016). Age (p=0.447), gender (p=0.591), education (p=0.660), work duration (p=0.448), leadership (p=1.000), chance of promotion (p=0.662), supervision (p=1.000), and punishment (p=0.731) do not correlate with one another. According to the findings of multivariate statistical analyses, the training variable was the most important factor in determining how satisfied nurses were with their jobs (p = 0.003; OR = 63.254). It is a biologically active ingredient that can inhibit the pathogenicity of several chronic diseases, especially in cardiovascular diseases which can play an important role in reducing blood cholesterol levels. This type of research is quasi experiment (Quasi experiment) by designPretest-Postest with Control Group ((Latuconsina, 2018). The implementation of this study was to measure total cholesterol levels taken before and after giving green tea for 2 weeks. The study was conducted on hypercholesterolemia sufferers in the city of Padang. The material used in this study was 3 grams of clean and good quality green tea.The results of statistical analysis using the T-test 2 mean Independent to see the effect of changes in total cholesterol levels on green tea administration in the treatment group and without green tea administration in the control group obtained statistical test results p value <0.05, there was a difference between changes in total cholesterol in the treatment group with the control. The conclusion of this study was that there was a significant difference in initial and final total cholesterol in the treatment group (p<0.05). There was a significant difference of initial and final total cholesterol in the control group (p<0.05).
