Abstract

Amanah Bunda Medika Clinic is a private clinic in Bekasi Regency, West Java, which provides health services such as midwifery, general polyclinic, and dental polyclinic. Based on interviews conducted with clinic owners, they have not yet conduct patient satisfaction survey. Therefore, it is important to consider collecting data regarding the perceptions of patients and their families, to find out how the public views the quality of health services provided by the Amanah Bunda Medika Clinic, especially in relation to the digital era in the health service sector. The aim of this study is to determine the influence of socioeconomic and demographic factors on patient perceptions of health service quality at Amanah Bunda Medika Clinic in the digital era. The method used is mixed methods. Quantitative research was carried out using univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. The subjects of this research are Amanah Bunda Medika Clinic patients. Qualitative research was carried out through in-depth interviews with the healthcare provider of Amanah Bunda Medika Clinic. The results of bivariate analysis showed that the factors of profession and family income did not have a significant relationship with the patient's perception of health service quality with p-value > 0.05, while the factors of age, gender and level of education were significantly related to the patient's perception of health service quality with p-value < 0.05. In the multivariate analysis stage, the most influential factor is age, with odd ratio value of 4.203, which means the older the respondent, the bigger the chance of having a very good perception of health service quality, while the factors of gender and education level had a negative relationship with odd ratio value less than 1, which means that women have a lower perception of health service quality than men, and patients with higher education have lower perception of health service quality than patients with primary – secondary education. The results of interviews with the healthcare provider indicated that patients were unfamiliar with the concept of patient perception surveys, and this could be overcome by socializing the benefits of surveys to improve service quality.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a population that still practices open defecation in various open areas. According to WHO data, Indonesia is included in 61 countries in the world where more than 5% of the population still practice open defecation. In the case of open defecation, Aceh Province is classified as having the highest open defecation and data from the Ministry of Health states that out of 6502 villages where people still practice open defecation in open areas, only 3% of villages are free from open defecation in 2017. This has led to an increase in the spread of diarrheal disease in the Aceh region. The Aceh Provincial Health Office revealed that the impact of open defecation resulted in a high number of diarrhea sufferers reaching 256,386 people with an average of 13% per year. Cot Keumude Village, Woyla District, West Aceh District is one of the villages that still causes open defecation problems and is one of the villages where most people defecate in open areas. It is known that Cot Keumude Village is occupied by 76 family cards (KK), while 31 families have facilities that comply with the Ministry of Health standards and 46 families do not have facilities. This study aims to look at the factors associated with open defecation (BABS) behavior in Cot Keumude Village, Woyla District, West Aceh District. This study uses a descriptive quantitative research method with a cross sectional approach, while the univariate and bivariate analysis methods are through the chi square test. The results showed that the knowledge variable was p-value = 0.009, the support variable from community leaders was p-value = 0.000, the education variable was p-value = 0.001 and economic status was p-value = 0.001. These results indicate that the variables of knowledge, support from community leaders, education and economic status are significantly related to open defecation behavior in the village of Cot Keumude.

Articles were searched using the PubMed database from February 2021 to April 2021 with inclusion criteria in English from 2010 to 2020 and discussing the presence of E. gingivalis in periodontal disease. Result: Articles that comply with the inclusion criteria of this study are 11 articles. The study designs included case-control, cross-sectional, cohort, and case series. All articles concluded that E. gingivalis was found in patients with periodontal disease. Conclusion: The presence of E. gingivalis in large numbers in inflamed periodontal tissues indicates that E. gingivalis has a role in the course of periodontal disease.
