Abstract

The main objective of this research is to examine the influence of Demographic Dividend, Economic Growth, and Human Development Index on Unemployment Rate in Indonesia. This study utilized a quantitative approach and a descriptive research method. It focused on 34 Indonesian provinces over a 5-year period (2018-2022). Open unemployment rate is the dependent variable, while the three independent variables consist of demographic dividend (proxied by the dependency ratio), economic growth (proxied by the GRDP growth rate), and the Human Development Index. To address the research objectives and test the hypotheses, a panel data regression analysis method is used. The results revealed that all variables had a significant impact on the open unemployment rate. Demographic dividend and economic growth had a significant negative impact, while the Human Development Index had a significant positive impact. This research can assist the government and relevant organizations in crafting more effective economic and employment policies. For instance, understanding the positive impact of the Human Development Index can aid the government in enhancing the quality of life for the population, while grasping the negative impact of the demographic dividend (dependency ratio) on unemployment can aid in workforce training and job creation planning.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the application of management information systems based on blockchain technology in the context of modern organizations. By observing the global paradigm shift in data and information management, blockchain technology has emerged as a potential solution to address issues of security, transparency and data integrity. This research uses a qualitative approach to analyze the effect of implementing a blockchain-based management information system on operational efficiency, risk management and information security in an organization. This research method involves surveys, interviews, and documentation analysis to understand the impact of blockchain technology implementation on organizational management processes. The research results show that the application of blockchain technology in Management Information Systems (MIS) has great potential in improving operational efficiency and security in various sectors. Key benefits identified include increased data transparency, more decentralized financial management, and fairer copyright protection in the entertainment and media industries. Nonetheless, challenges such as high initial costs and differences in regulations across countries remain obstacles that need to be overcome to ensure broader and coordinated adoption of blockchain technology. Collaboration between government, industry and relevant stakeholders will be key in developing a framework that supports and overcomes these barriers, thereby enabling broader and more effective use of blockchain technology in the management of Management Information Systems in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of service quality on behavioral intentions with Perceived Value as an Intervening Variable p at Café Kok Tong Tebing Tinggi. The research method used is a quantitative method using SPSS version 25.00 which was collected from the results of distributing questionnaires to 100 employees. The analytical method used in this research is using instrument tests, namely validity and reliability tests. Classic assumption tests are normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, multiple linear regression analysis, analysis of the coefficient of determination (R2), hypothesis testing namely T test and path analysis ( Path analysis ). The results of SPSS in this research are that the service quality variable (X) influences the perceived value level variable (Z) . Service quality (X) has no effect on the behavioral intentions variable (Y). The variable perceived value (Z) influences behavioral intentions (Y), and the path analysis of equation I shows that the calculation results obtained show that the indirect influence through the perceived value level variable (Z) is greater than the direct influence on the behavioral intentions variable (Y ), then the perceived value level variable can mediate the influence of service quality on behavioral intentions.

Abstract

Purpose: The main idea of this study is to identify the credit rating of the coal-producing sub-industry through the utilization of binary logistic regression analysis. Method: This research used 19 companies of IDX (Indonesia Stock Exchange) as samples with purposive sampling method. This paper use financial ratio data in October 2022. The variables used are six types of financial ratios, namely Price to Earning Ratio (PER), Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Asset (ROA), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Price to Book Value (PBV), and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER). This study uses binary logistic regression analysis. Result: The empirical result shown that financial ratio such as PBV, PER, and DER can be used prediction model with accuration rate of 0.95 and ROC 1.00. Based on the result, the companies with the best credit rating (AAA) is Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), Indika Energy Tbk (INDY), Baramulti Suksessarana Tbk (BSSR), and Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO). Novelty: The research presented in this study is distinguished by its utilization of a two-stage approach. The initial phase involves the application of the K-Means method to replicate the clustering of the company in order to identify binary performance data. The subsequent phases involve the utilization of binary logistic regression, incorporating six distinct financial ratios.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic, which began in early 2019 and persists to this day in 2022, stands as one of the most significant global disasters in recent years. Beyond the staggering number of fatalities and hospitalizations, its impact encompasses widespread economic repercussions, extensive business interruptions, and significant hardships worldwide. Its spread has profoundly affected various sectors of the global economy, including manufacturing, hospitality and tourism, finance, food and beverage, as well as the construction industry in Indonesia. Numerous projects in Indonesia suffered delays and increased costs due to the pandemic. Construction activities abruptly ceased at various sites, leading to a stagnation in productivity. In light of these circumstances, this study focuses on the initial challenges encountered in managing the COVID-19 crisis and its specific implications on the construction sector. This study investigated the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) companies in Indonesia. The analysis was conducted based on feedback obtained from 11 respondents belonging to SCM (Supply Chain Management) Departments, comprising SCM managers and Logistics managers from major international EPC companies operating in oil, gas, power, petrochemicals, and related services engaged in ongoing EPC projects within Indonesia. These respondents shared insights derived from their experiences in addressing the disruptive effects of the pandemic. They highlighted the overall negative impacts encountered, newly emerged opportunities, and ongoing efforts in risk management. The reported adverse effects encompassed significant project delays, challenges in acquiring materials on time, reduced productivity rates, increased logistics expenses, escalations in material costs, shifts in transportation methods (from sea freight to air freight) to meet construction schedules, among other challenges. The Supply Chain disruption caused various impacts, particularly on material, finance, and information flows. Material movements and deliveries experienced significant delays due to disruptions. Finance flows, including payment terms for both sellers and buyers, were also affected, causing disruptions in transactions. Information flow across multiple aspects, including human resources, material stock information, quotations, inspections, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), and scheduling, faced challenges. Risk management strategies were significantly bolstered to address these issues, focusing on enhancing safety measures (HSE) and mitigating other project risks like delivery delays and handover issues. Safety measures were intensified, mandating employees to wear medical face masks, undergo body temperature checks below 37 degrees Celsius, adhere to social distancing protocols, implement staggered construction operations, provide COVID-19-related training, conduct temperature checks before entry to workplaces, frequently administer antigen tests/PCR tests, and other precautionary measures to ensure safety and minimize the risk of virus transmission.
