Abstract

This study aims to understand how price sensitivity influences Generation Z's preferences and consumption behavior toward products offered in the market, as well as to analyze the most effective pricing strategies in attracting this segment. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive method, data were obtained through in-depth interviews with informants from Generation Z who actively purchase products both online and offline. The findings reveal that Generation Z exhibits high price sensitivity and carefully considers rational aspects before making a purchase, such as comparing prices across marketplaces, looking for free shipping promotions, and evaluating user reviews. They tend to respond positively to transparent and dynamic pricing strategies, as long as they still provide value and fairness in the transaction. Dynamic pricing successfully captures the attention of Gen Z when accompanied by clear communication and reasonable price boundaries. Additionally, Gen Z shows a tendency to be more loyal to brands that can adjust prices according to market conditions without sacrificing quality and integrity. These findings reinforce that adaptive and technology-based pricing strategies play a crucial role in building product appeal and consumer loyalty among Generation Z.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how to build a Christian university organizational culture based on core values. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method focused on a university, namely Universitas Kristen Indonesia Toraja. The research data was obtained through observation and interview instruments. The data analysis technique used was thematic analysis through coding of interview transcripts or observation notes. This study emphasizes that the core values formulated by UKI Toraja are not only important in determining the organization's direction but also serve as guidelines and guidance for all university stakeholders. More transcendental values, such as Christianity, local wisdom philosophy, human dignity, as well as social and national concern, require critical reflection that enables every member of the UKI Toraja community to be directed toward the same goal. Core values ultimately build organizational cultural values as pillars of transformation in facing the challenges of changes in the higher education environment and enhancing more meaningful commitment from the entire academic community.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze strategies for increasing employee engagement through employee empowerment and self-development programs. The research approach used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing according to the Miles and Huberman model. The results indicate that empowerment and self-development strategies have a significant influence on increasing employee engagement. By providing autonomy in decision-making, providing relevant training, and supporting career development, employees feel more valued and in control of their work. Furthermore, a supportive organizational culture and regular recognition have been shown to increase motivation and a sense of belonging to the organization. Although challenges remain, such as budget constraints, ineffective training methods, and difficulties in measuring success, the results of this study confirm that employee engagement can be significantly improved if organizations consistently implement empowerment and self-development strategies on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

The phenomenon of increasing foreign investment often creates unequal legal relations between investors and local communities, particularly regarding land ownership, economic rights, and environmental sustainability. This study aims to analyze the form and effectiveness of legal protection for local communities against foreign investor domination in investment projects in Indonesia. The research method used is normative juridical with a statutory and conceptual approach, supported by case studies in several regions that are foreign investment locations. Data were obtained through a literature review of laws and regulations, legal literature, and relevant court decisions. The results of this study indicate that legal protection for local communities against foreign investor domination in investment projects in Indonesia is still not optimal, despite the existence of an adequate legal framework. The implementation of Law Number 25 of 2007 concerning Investment and Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management has not fully been able to ensure a balance between economic interests and community rights. The study found that various violations still occur, such as environmental pollution, eviction of customary land, and social marginalization, which are consequences of weak supervision and law enforcement. Furthermore, foreign investor dominance is reinforced by imbalances in economic and political power, a lack of information transparency, and limited public participation in the investment licensing and oversight process. However, there are opportunities to strengthen legal protection through capacity building of supervisory institutions, strengthening inter-agency coordination, implementing strict sanctions for violations, and active public involvement in every investment stage.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of ethnic identity in the formation of nationalism in Indonesia in the post-Reformasi period. The 1998 Reformation opened up broader spaces for expression for various ethnic groups, thus influencing the dynamics of the relationship between local and national identities. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, this study combines literature review and document analysis to answer the research findings. The results indicate that ethnic identity plays a significant role in the formation of Indonesian nationalism post-Reformasi. Freedom of expression after the collapse of the New Order allowed ethnic identities to re-emerge and be recognized as part of a multicultural Indonesia, thereby strengthening a sense of national belonging. However, this dynamic is also accompanied by challenges such as social fragmentation, identity politics, and weak internalization of the values of Pancasila, tolerance, and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity). Therefore, the formation of an inclusive nationalism requires equitable policies, strong multicultural education, and spaces for dialogue between groups to ensure that ethnic diversity becomes a unifying force, not a source of division.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Capital Advocacy Ratio, Non-Performing Loans, Loan To Deposit Ratio, and Net Interest Margin, on the level of Profitability (ROA) in state-owned banks listed on the IDX for the period 2011-2022. The population in this study were four state-owned banks in Indonesia BBRI, BBNI, BBTN, BMRI. The number of samples used was 48. The analysis techniques used in this study include multiple linear regression to understand the comprehensive relationship between the variables concerned. The hypothesis testing methods used include the t-statistic test to test the significance of the partial regression coefficient, and the F-statistic test to evaluate the overall significance with a confidence level of 0.05. In addition, this study also applies classical assumption tests such as normality tests, multicollinearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, and autocorrelation tests. The results of this study indicate that CAR, NPL, LDR, and NIM have a simultaneous effect on ROA in banking companies. The R-square value of 0.862 proves that the model is able to explain 86.2% of its influence on profitability, while the remaining 13.8% is determined by other variables outside the model. This finding implies that bank management can use these variables as a guide in improving the health and financial performance of the bank.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of workload and financial rewards on employee performance at Guido Valadares National Hospital, Timor Leste, with a focus on the mediating role of job satisfaction in these relationships. The research population consisted of all 45 employees of the hospital, with data collection conducted using a census sampling method. The collected data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) methodology. The results indicate that workload has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, although this effect is not direct. Instead, it is mediated by job satisfaction. Employees who experience high levels of job satisfaction, even when faced with a heavy workload, tend to demonstrate better performance. In addition, financial rewards also show a significant positive effect on employee performance. Adequate financial recognition enhances job satisfaction, which in turn contributes to improved performance. Job satisfaction is proven to play a critical role as a mediator in both relationships. High levels of job satisfaction enable employees to manage high workloads effectively and improve their performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction strengthens the positive impact of financial rewards on employee performance, highlighting its central role in the organizational environment.
