Abstract

The quality of oranges is important to determine selling value. However, citrus quality assessments are often subjective and inconsistent, which can impact consumer satisfaction and market efficiency. In the agricultural industry, especially in citrus commodities, there are difficulties in classifying fruit quality accurately and efficiently, which has an impact on the assessment and determination of market prices. Given the importance of citrus quality in the agricultural and food industries, there is an urgent need for objective and efficient methods for classifying citrus quality. Inappropriate classification can cause economic losses for farmers and distributors, as well as reduce consumer satisfaction with product quality. As a solution, this research proposes the use of the Random Forest method to classify orange quality data. The method used in this research involved collecting orange quality data, including characteristics such as color, texture, and size. This data is then analyzed using the Random Forest algorithm. The Random Forest method is used to process orange quality data, by utilizing features such as color, size and skin texture. This model is trained using historical data to predict fruit quality. The research results show that the Random Forest method successfully classifies citrus quality data with high accuracy, demonstrating its potential as an effective tool for future citrus quality assessment by proving its effectiveness in supporting decisions in the agricultural sector.

Abstract

The limitation of land and its expensive cost in urban areas led to the invasion of commercial functions into the settlement area. The transformation of housing into business buildings is due to population growth within the city and increased activity, where land remains constant so that it cannot accommodate the needs of urban communities. Among these phenomena is the doubled use of housing – for housing and business – to secure additional income/economic boost for the family. As a result, space layout patterns are uncontrolled, and the functions set in the space plan are not achieved. This, in turn, has interfered with the activity and comfort of the environmental functions of the Hunian as a decent Huni. This research aims to produce a formula for the control of the movement of housing functions into business buildings, where the change of the housing function to business building has taken place since 2008 when Law No. 51 of 2008 on the Establishment of the City of Southern Tangerang as an Autonomous District. The method used is a qualitative and quantitative approach with overlay analysis, descriptive analysis, policy analysis and monitoring and control analysis relevant to the intensity of space utilization. (karakteristik nilai tanah, kelengkapan utilitas, aksesibilitas tanah, karakteristik pribadi pemilik tanah, aturan penggunaan tanah, inisiatif bangunan komersial). The uncontrolled change in the function of the residential house into the building of the business building caused a lack of spatial arrangement along the main street corridors in the housing area as a residential place in the urban area caused by the presence of the factors.

Abstract

Abrasion in Muara Gembong District has resulted in changes in the coastline, reaching 3,852 m. Abrasion causes physical, environmental, social, and economic changes, as well as changes in the lives of local people. This study aims to analyze the level of vulnerability due to abrasion in the coastal area of Muara Gembong. This study uses the AHP method to determine the weight of factors influencing vulnerability due to abrasion by involving stakeholders as respondents. Giving value weights to criteria and alternatives, then pairwise comparisons of each stakeholder's opinions. Using proximity analysis techniques, vulnerability zone analysis was carried out using kernel density analysis techniques and analysis regarding the distance from the coast to settlements. The analysis technique using Weighted Overlay is carried out to determine the vulnerability zone based on the results of the factor weight assessment. From the results of the analysis, the factor that has the greatest influence on the vulnerability of the Muara Gembong coastal area due to abrasion is the environmental factor; this shows that if there is environmental damage, especially damage to protected forests and mangrove forests, it will accelerate the process of coastal abrasion. The analysis results show that 85.10% of the coastal area of Muara Gembong is in the moderate vulnerability zone, 14.25% is in the high vulnerability zone, and 0.65% is in the low vulnerability zone. The results of the superimpose between the spatial pattern plan of Muara Gembong District and the Vulnerability Map show that the directions for developing activities for cultivation areas dominated by residential activities are in high and medium vulnerability zones. In contrast, low vulnerability zones are directed toward developing non-settlement cultivation areas.

Abstract

Industrial sector exports have a large contribution to total exports in the Indonesian economy. A forecasting model is needed that is able to forecast the export value of the industrial sector well. The data used in this study are monthly data on the Export Value of Indonesian Footwear. The ARIMA method can forecast data well linearly but has a decrease in accuracy for data with nonlinear components. Lee's Fuzzy Time Series method is good for nonlinear data and has a level of accuracy that is easy to understand. The ARIMA method requires assumptions to be met such as the data must be stationary, then the Fuzzy Time Series Lee method can be used for non-stationary data, because the Fuzzy Time Series Lee does not require certain assumptions to be met. The results of forecasting the value of Indonesian footwear exports using ARIMA have a MAPE value of 18.5% with good criteria, the Fuzzy Time Series Lee method has a MAPE value of 18.2% with good criteria, so it can be used to forecast the value of Indonesian footwear exports for the August 2023 period of 46,563,984 USD. The forecasting results can be a reference for future policy making.
