Abstract

Science is an important subject in school learning. Science can improve students' thinking skills to solve problems in daily life. Base on the reason, students should be understand science well. The real condition shows that students' science compatence is low. One solution of this problem is to use interesting teaching materials which is related to daily life. The purpose of the research is to investigate the influence of implementation of student worksheet by integrating REACT strategy in contextual learning toward student competence of  grade VII SMPN 29 Padang. Type of research is a quasi experiment with randomized control only design. The research population was all students of grade VII SMPN 29 Padang that registered in academic year 2016/2017. Sampling technique was purposive sampling. The sample of the population consist of 34 students in the experimental class and 33 students in the control class. Instruments research consist of three parts namely learning result test sheet  for knowledge, observation sheet for attitude, and performance assesment sheet for skill competence of students. Data  were analyzed by  descriptive statistical analysis, normality and homogeneity test, and comparison of two means test. Based on the result of data analysis can be stated that student worksheet by integrating strategy REACT in contextual learning gives significant effect toward students competencies at 95% significant level

Abstract

Curriculum of 2013 requires science learning is implemented in an integrated teaching. However, the reality in schools shows that the integrated science learning isn’t implemented well yet. The solution of this problem is to  develop an integrated science teaching material which orient contextual learning to improve students’ literacy. The purpose of  research is to determine validity, practicality, and effectiveness of integrated science teaching material. The type of this research is Research and Development (R & D). The object of the research was integrated science teaching material which orient contextual learning. Instruments to collect the data consist of validition sheet, practicality test sheet, and effectiveness test sheet. Techniques of data analysis were descriptive statistics analysis, graph method, and correlation compare mean test. Based on data analysis it can be stated that two of research results. First, integrated science teaching material which orient contextual learning was very valid with an average value of 83.2. Second, implementation of integrated science teaching material which orient contextual learning was practice according teacher and students with average value respectly of 90.0 and 83.5. Besides that, implementation of integrated science teaching material which orient contextual learning was effective to improve the competence of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. Students skills consist of  functional literacy, scientific literacy and visual literacy

Abstract

One of the factors that cause low learning outcomes of learners is the low ability of learners in solving physics problems. This problem solving ability can be improved through learning using LKPD of physics by orient problem-solving strategy toward the achievement of the competence of students of Class X SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of LKPD physics-oriented problem-solving strategies to the achievement of competence learners.The type of research conducted is quasi experiment with randomized control group design postest only design. The study population included all MIA class X students enrolled in the even semester of the academic year 2016/2017. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique. Research data is the value of competence knowledge, attitude and skills of learners. The research instrument is the final test to measure the knowledge competence, the observation sheet to measure the attitude competency, the performance appraisal sheet to measure the competency of the skill. The research data were analyzed by two-equation equality test. Two average equality tests were performed for the learning result value of each competency of the two sample classes.Based on the data analysis, the average score for the experimental class and control class are 83,47 and 78,16, the attitude competence is 87,04 and 79,8 and the skills competence is 88,7 and 83 , 3. Data for the knowledge, attitude and skill competencies of the two sample classes are normally distributed and have homogeneous variance, so that the two equality tests are tested with t test. From the calculation results obtained t count value for knowledge competence that is 2.773 and t table = 2,00; On attitude competence obtained t arithmetic that is 7,1911 and t table = 2,00; And on skill competence t obtained is 4.189 and t table = 2,00. In the three competencies are obtained t arithmetic> t table, means t count is outside the acceptance area Ho, so Hi accepted. Thus, the conclusion of this research is there is a significant influence from the application of LKPD of physics by orient problem-solving strategy toward the achievement of the competence of students of Class X SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung accepted

Abstract

The attainment of students’ competence in physics in school has not been optimal yet. This is caused by several factors such as the less varied learning method implemented by teacher in the learning process, the limited textbooks in schools which are only used during the lesson hours, and Worksheet Students (LKPD) who can not make the students actively involved in the learning process. An alternative solution to this problem is to apply Worksheet Students (LKPD) based on accelerated learning method and MASTER technique. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of using LKPD based on accelerated learning method and MASTER technique towards the students’ attainment in learning physics in class XI SMAN 7 Padang. The study was a quasi experimental research with Nonequivalen Control Group. Samples were taken by using purposive sampling technique. The researcher employed observation sheet as the instrument for assessing the competence of attitude, written test for assessing the level of knowledge and performance, and the scoring rubric for assessing the competence of skills. The types of analysis used were the chart analysis for the attitudes competence, the simple linear regression for the knowledge competence, and the combination of both for the competence of skills. Based on the results of data analysis, there were three results in this study. First, the average value obtained for the attitude competence generally increased over weeks. Second, the average value of the knowledge competence in the experimental class was 80.56. The regression analysis showed that 23,02% of the students’ knowledge competence was influenced by the use of LKPD MASTER learning model. Thirdly, the average value of students’ skills competence in experimental class generally increased in every assessment. The regression analysis showed that 62,87% of students’ skills competence was influenced by LKPD based on accelerated learning method and MASTER technique. Therefore, it could be concluded that LKPD MASTER learning model is capable of increasing the students’ competence in physics in class XI SMAN 7 Padang

Abstract

Scientific approach and integration of caracter value was important in physics learning. Both of them can improve the holistic competencies students including attitude, knowledge, and skills. In reality, used of scientific approach in physic learning was low with average value was 60%. Applying of caracter value in learning process was less with average value was 57%. One of the solution was to design a student worksheet of scientific approach and integrared caracter value  to student of ten class.The purpose of this study were to produce student worksheet with saintific approach and to determine the validity of student worksheet. This Research and Development (R&D). The step wasknowing the potency and problem,data collection,design, validation, and revision product.  Instrument were used in this research validation sheet.Data analysisconsist of descriptive statistic graph method. Abstract

A research has been done in order to produce a valid, practical and effective interactive practice questions using of course lab with a scientific approach to the material grade X SMA Straight Motion. The research done isone of Research and Development (R&D), but the steps R&D is done only until the seventh step. Such steps are to recognize the potential and problems, gather information, product design, design validation, the revised design, product testing, and product revision. As research objects are interactive practice questions using course lab with a  scientific approach to the subject matter of Straight Motion and testing are students of class X, SMAN 7Padang. The results showed manufacture interactive practice questions using the course lab with a scientificapproach to the material grade X SMA Straight Motion very valid by the validity of 86.25%. The test results of practicality in the aspect of practicality   interactive practice questions using the course's lab with practical scientific approach with the practicalities of value to the results of teacher responses was 80% and for the results of the learner response is 79.76%. While the results of the effectiveness of interactive practice test questions using the course's lab with an effective scientific approach Characterized by an Increase in physics learning outcomes of students, Obtained gain score at 0.51 Categorized as moderate

Abstract

Technological developments can be utilized in the manufacture of learning media that can increase the interest of learners to learn, make learners more active so as to enhance the competence of learners. One of the learning media that can increase the interest of learners is Virtual Laboratory LKPD Assisted Using Cooperative Learning Model of Group Investigation. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of Virtual Laboratory Supported by LKPD Using Cooperative Learning Model of Group Investigation Group on the competence of students of class XI SMAN 5 Padang. This tipe of research is Pre-Experimental Design with One Shot Case Study. Sampling is done by Purposive Sampling technique. From the data analysis for the three competencies obtained the following results: 1)The average score of knowledge competence of learners after using LKPD assisted virtual laboratory using cooperative learning model in practice activity is 84,09, 2) Use of LKPD assisted virtual laboratory using cooperative learning model type group investigation on knowledge competence with rvalue >rtable, percentage of influence 20,25%, and 3) the competence of the students’ skill has increased the general competence from the lab to the next practicum

Abstract

But the reality shows that science learning and student literacy aren’t implemented well yet. As solution of this problem is to develop contextual integrated science student worksheet by integrating literacy. The purpose of the research is to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the integrated science student worksheet in scientific approach. The type of research is Research and Development (R & D).  Research design in preliminary testing was before and after treatment. Instruments to collect data were expert validity sheet,  practicality of test sheet, effectiveness of test sheet, attitude observastion sheet, and skill assessment sheet. Data analysis techniques which were used in this research were descriptive statistic analysis, graph method, and compare mean test. Based on data analysis, there were two of research results. First, contextual integrated science student worksheet by integrating literacy was very valid with average value is 92,0. Second, implemention of contextual integrated science student worksheet by integrating literacy was very practice acording teacher and students with average value of practicality respectly 87,0 and 84,6. Implementation of contextual integrated science student worksheet by integrating literacy was effective in science approach to improve student literacy

Abstract

This research aim to produce products such mobile learning media based Android on  static fluid material is valid and practical.The type of this research is a development research This research procedure consists of seven stages including the potential and problems, data collection, product design validation design, revised design, testing product and the revision of the product. The subject of the research is that three of the lecturers as validators, two physics teachers, and 20 students. The data has been analyzed with descriptive analysis techniques. Research results are categorized as valid with the value of the average 86,64% , categorized very practical according to the teachers with the value of the average 90,33%, and categorized practical according to the students with the value of the average 85,92%.

Abstract

This research is motivated that teaching materials in schools have not facilitated students optimally in finding their knowledge. In addition, practicum activities are also not always done in Physics learning, due to the limitations of practicum tools. So that learning is still centered on the teacher and make learners less active and just memorize the formula instead of understanding the concept. This study aims to produce products in the form of RPP and LKPD integrated inquiry guided with virtual laboratory on the material Dynamic Fluid and Gas Kinetic Theory in a valid, practical and effective physics learning. This research was a research development (research and development) using 4D development model. This model consists of 4 stages of define, design,, development and disseminate. However, this study was only done until the stage of development. The data of the research was analyzed by qualitative and quantitative analysis. This research produces products in the form of integrated RPP and LKPD guided inquiry with virtual laboratory assisted. Based on the data analysis can be presented three research results. First, the validity of RPP and LKPD that validated the experts each have an average value of 91.46 and 89.84 with criteria is very valid. Second, the practicality of teachers for RPP is 93.31% and for LKPD is 95.31% and practicality value of learners that is 89.67% who are on very practical criteria. Third, integrated LKPD guided inquiry with virtual laboratory is effectively used in physics learning
