Abstract

This study designs a decision support system to help the owner of the Hasti Family chips business choose the optimal raw materials in making cassava, banana, and breadfruit chips. The Weighted Product (WP) method is used as a multi-criteria decision-making method by considering criteria such as chip color, chip texture, chip taste, chip durability and fruit price. Criteria data and alternative raw materials are processed using WP calculations to produce the best alternative ranking. The result is a web-based decision support system that implements the WP method, presents an interface for entering data and displays the best alternative ranking. This system improves the efficiency of decision-making, minimizes the risk of selecting inappropriate raw materials, improves product quality, and supports business growth. The results of the research on the decision support system for selecting chips ingredients show that this system determines the best ingredients by finding the final value of the V vector search from 3 cassava data, 3 banana data and 3 breadfruit data that will be entered into the system and get results from butter cassava, which has the highest V value of 0.38311467, followed by wak banana with an impressive V value of 0.398763354, and Bali breadfruit, which has a prominent V value of 0.350015233. The conclusion of this study is that the designed application is able to optimize the process of selecting raw materials for chip production more efficiently, quickly, and this system not only accelerates decision making but also ensures more structured and reliable data recording.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effects of chayote (Sechium edule Jacq. Swartz) extract and fractions on male reproductive function, specifically by observing Malondialdehyde (MDA) levels and testosterone hormones, in a rat model of type 2 diabetes. The study used a laboratory experimental method with a posttest-only controlled group design on male Wistar rats. The rats were randomized into 17 groups, including a negative control group, a positive control group, and groups that received ethanol extract, n-hexane fraction, ethyl acetate, and water of chayote at doses of 50 mg/KgBW, 100 mg/KgBW, and 150 mg/KgBW. The results showed that the ethanol extract, n-hexane fraction, and ethyl acetate of chayote can reduce MDA activity and increase testosterone hormone levels in male white rats (Rattus novergicus) induced by streptozotocin, NA, and HFD. This study suggests that chayote has the potential to be used as a natural ingredient to improve male reproductive function in people with type 2 diabetes.

Abstract

This treatise delves into the burgeoning adoption of e-commerce platforms by Kashmiri entrepreneurs, examining the intricate dynamics underpinning this digital transformation. The study illuminates the duality of e-commerce as both an opportunity and a challenge within the unique socio-economic and geopolitical context of Kashmir. Entrepreneurs entrenched in traditional sectors such as handicrafts, horticulture, and tourism are increasingly leveraging digital platforms to amplify market access, mitigate operational expenditures, and diversify revenue streams. Despite these advancements, the region grapples with formidable impediments, including precarious internet infrastructure, pervasive digital illiteracy, and a deficit of trust in online transactions. Employing a mixed-methods approach, this inquiry amalgamates quantitative data from structured surveys and qualitative insights from semi-structured interviews, encompassing a diverse cohort of entrepreneurs. The findings elucidate critical enablers of e-commerce proliferation, such as the advent of localized platforms, the ascendancy of social media as a marketing conduit, and governmental interventions fostering digital entrepreneurship. Concurrently, the research underscores persistent barriers, including logistical conundrums, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and sociocultural constraints, particularly affecting women entrepreneurs. The study posits that a synergistic approach encompassing infrastructural enhancement, capacity-building initiatives, and tailored policy frameworks is imperative to galvanize the e-commerce ecosystem in Kashmir. By addressing these structural challenges, e-commerce could metamorphose the region’s economic paradigm, fostering resilience and empowering marginalized demographics. This paper, thus, contributes to the discourse on digital inclusivity and sustainable entrepreneurship in developing territories, presenting a compelling case for the transformative potential of digital commerce.

Abstract

MSMEs have a strategic role in supporting national economic growth, especially through their contribution to the export sector. However, many exporting MSMEs face various challenges, such as international trade risks and limited entrepreneurial orientation, which can affect their performance. To overcome these challenges, trade credit insurance is present as one of the financial solutions that helps protect MSMEs from the risk of default. In addition, entrepreneurial orientation is an important factor in encouraging MSME competitiveness and innovation. In this context, government support is expected to moderate the influence of these two factors on improving the performance of exporting MSMEs. This study aims to analyze the effect of trade credit insurance and entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of export MSMEs, by considering government support as a moderating variable. This study was conducted on the trade finance service of PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk for export MSMEs in Central Java. Data collection was conducted through a survey of 150 respondents who were export MSME actors. Data analysis used multiple linear regression methods with statistical software. The results of the study indicate that trade credit insurance has a positive and significant effect on the performance of export MSMEs, as well as entrepreneurial orientation. However, government support does not moderate the effect of trade credit insurance on the performance of export MSMEs. On the contrary, government support is proven to strengthen the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of export MSMEs. This finding indicates that MSMEs that have access to trade credit insurance services and have a high entrepreneurial orientation can improve their export performance. Government support plays an important role in strengthening the positive impact of entrepreneurial orientation on export performance. This study contributes to the development of policies that support the performance of export MSMEs, especially in optimizing trade finance services and supporting programs from the government.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the pattern of terrorism prevention with the collaboration of Intelligence-Led Policing and Predictive Policing in the South Sumatra region. Until now, there has only been one terrorist attack in South Sumatra, namely the shooting of a Christian junior high school teacher in Palembang City in 2008 with the motive that the teacher often insulted students who wore headscarves at his school. So far, the South Sumatra Regional Police have succeeded in preventing terrorist attacks, as evidenced by several arrests made before the terrorist attacks in 2017, 2018 and 2020. However, the concept of preventing terrorist attacks has not been carried out systematically by the Intelligence Function at the South Sumatra Regional Police. The prevention carried out has not been systematically through the intelligence-led policing process so that it can predict the potential threat of terrorist attacks. So far, prevention patterns have been carried out by the intelligence of Densus 88 Polri. The involvement of the South Sumatra Regional Police Intelligence is still minimal in efforts to prevent terrorism.

Abstract

The purpose of the omnibus law is to simplify the legislation amidst the overlapping legal conditions in Indonesia. The purpose of this article is to explain how the criminal law policy of the Omnibus Law applies to the circulation of illegal pharmaceutical preparations in Indonesia, seen from the position of the criminal article regarding the circulation of pharmaceutical preparations in Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health. Where Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health has revoked the old Health Law, namely Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health. This raises doubts for law enforcement officers in law enforcement efforts, whether they can still use the omnibus law of the Job Creation Law which has changed the article related to Illegal Pharmaceutical Preparations in the old Health Law. Based on the results of research on applicable laws and theories related to the formation of the omnibus law, the author argues in the conclusion that the criminal law policy of pharmaceutical preparations in the Health omnibus law aims to simplify the licensing regulations for pharmaceutical preparations into one Law, namely the Job Creation Law. Laws using the omnibuslaw method can only be repealed by the same law so that the articles in the old Health Law which have been amended in the job creation law are still declared valid and can be used by law enforcement officials in enforcing the law against the distribution of illegal pharmaceutical preparations.
