Abstract

Cultural literacy is important in contemporary studies because it helps us understand and appreciate the cultural diversity that exists around us. In an increasingly connected and globalized world, understanding different cultures is key to promoting tolerance, reducing intercultural conflict, and building better relationships between people. Through cultural literacy in social studies learning using a reflective inquiry approach, we can understand the historical background, values, norms and traditions that form a culture. This research aims to explore through a literature review how to increase cultural literacy in social studies learning through reflective inquiry thinking. This research method uses a literature review by Cohen & Lawrence Manion, Keith Morrison. The results of cultural space research are formed by three axes, namely knowledge, values ​​and regulations. The influence of globalization has both negative and positive impacts on the existence of local culture and developing student competence through cultural literacy will develop awareness of the affective and cognitive dimensions of learning. Strengthening social studies content through a reflective inquiry thinking approach can be done with student-centered learning, diverse learning resources, and creating a conducive learning environment. Reflective inquiry is not only limited to statements or examinations, but includes the process of research, curiosity, analysis, and drawing conclusions about the things being examined or researched.

Abstract

Gender issues are currently still a serious discussion among academics. Even though it has been discussed for a long time, gender issues are still a polemic in society, this is because gender issues are very closely related to the movement for equality of roles and functions between men and women in all fields. The pros and cons of gender issues are commonplace because there are different points of view and open-mindedness in every society. It is certain that gender relations are very necessary to pay attention to in order to maintain social stability. Men and women basically have the same role in maintaining and maintaining, as well as enhancing a more constructive social system. This paper uses a qualitative approach, using the library research method. The data in this paper were obtained from various literal sources, both books, journals, and scientific articles related to the study of gender and social security. The results of this study show; 1) Gender in the Islamic perspective sees equality before God. Both have an important role in carrying out the mandate as servants of God. 2) Gender in the development of society has a role in both the private and publik spheres, such as in economic and political resilience.

Abstract

The presence of Bank Syari’ah Indonesia, represents the seriousness of the government's in paying attention to the development of Sharia-based services in Indonesia, with various problems and turbulent economic conditions. Determining the strategic location of a bank is the main thing to do by paying attention to some important indicators such as proximity to the city center, shopping malls, large areas such as parking lots and other signs. The study aims to test and analyze the influence of strategic location factors on the interests of non-Muslim customers of Shariah Bank Indonesia, located in Yogyakarta Special District. The population in this study is a non-Muslim DIY community. The data used in this research is primary data collected through questionnaires and interviews with respondents. A total of 120 non-Muslim respondents were in Yogyakarta Special District. The results of the study showed that, the location variable with T table of 0.154> T counts of -1,975 with a significant rate of 0.051. This indicates that the location does not have significant effectiveness in attracting non-Muslim interest to become a customer of Bank Syari’ah Indonesia in DIY. On the contrary, the promotion and product aspects have more significant efficiency to attract non-Muslim interest in becoming a client of Bank Islamic Syari'ah in DIY, with a variable T count of 4,320> T value table 0,154 with a significant rate of 0,000, and T table 0.154> T count 5, 306 with a signifying rate 0,000.

Abstract

Religious moderation is not created by itself, but there must be a joint effort and hard work to form and maintain religious consciousness, while multicultural education is an effort of learning carried out in institutions of formal and non-formal education in order to teach students the diversity of cultural, religious, and social attitudes and thinking of society. Therefore, the aim of this research is to find out the strategy for strengthening multicultural education by building student understanding of religious moderation in SMPN 14 Mataram. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive research approach. There are three ways of gathering data: observation, interview, and documentation. The results of the research proved that the school's strategy in the progress of strengthening multicultural education in building students' understanding of religious moderation in SMPN 14 Mataram has three important elements, namely, first, the moderation of the religious ritual activities; second, the moderation in the activities of the learning activity; and third, the moderation in the activities of the major religious days. What are the supportive factors in the progress of strengthening multicultural education in building students' understanding of religious moderation in SMPN 14 Mataram? The support of the citizens of SMPN 14 Mataram, teachers of the various SMPN, and the school provides the scope for students to develop their potential, while the inhibitory factors are the adaptation of students at the beginning of school entry and teachers lack of media on diversity in the school.

Abstract

Purun Village is one of the climate villages formed by the government and represented by the Head of Palam, Agus Adrian on July 1, 2016. This study aims to determine the beginning of the establishment of Purun Village in Banjarbaru City and the development of the economic life of the community in Purun Village since 2010-2023. This study uses a historical method, which consists of four stages, namely the first heuristic, the second source criticism, the third interpretation, and the fourth historiography. The results of the study show that before the existence of Purun Village, the community there had been carrying out purun weaving activities even though only in the form of baskets and purun mats, after the formation of Purun Village in July 2016, more and more craftsmen participated in weaving purun. Purun Village has become a village that can support the economy of craftsmen with sales not only limited to the surrounding area but has spread internationally. The conclusion obtained is that over time, Purun Village has developed to foreign countries, thanks to the persistence of the female purun craftsmen and the encouragement from the Banjarbaru government which has greatly influenced the development of Purun Village, Palam Subdistrict.

Abstract

Teacher Center based learning results in not maximizing critical thinking skills. There is a lack of interesting interactive PowerPoint-assisted learning media in science learning to improve critical thinking skills. This research aims to develop and demonstrate the effectiveness of interactive PowerPoint media in science and science learning to improve elementary school students' critical thinking skills. The research was carried out using the ADDIE development with a total of 20 samples taken in class 4. Data collection techniques used were questionnaire collection, observation, interviews, pre-test and post-test with quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the research before using interactive PowerPoint, students got an average score of 56%, and after implementing interactive PowerPoint media they got an average score of 79.5% with the results of the analysis after using media to improve critical thinking skills getting a percentage of 84.37%. It can be concluded that interactive PowerPoint media is effectively used to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the dominant learning methods and media used by teachers in implementing social studies learning in the classroom. In this research the author used a quantitative descriptive research method with survey techniques conducted on 27 social studies teachers in Sumbawa district. Each of the 9 social studies teachers in eastern, central and western Sumbawa was given an open questionnaire. Analysis of questionnaire data was carried out using descriptive analysis, namely using the percentage formula. The results of the analysis show that the majority of teachers still seem monotonous in using learning methods and media. This means that teachers are not optimal in selecting and applying various methods and media in social studies learning at school. This is shown by the results that 100% of teachers predominantly use the discussion method and 62.96% of teachers predominantly use map media in learning.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of service quality and price on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction as an intervening variable at the Sang Siroju Lillah Sidoarjo Tutoring Institute. This research uses quantitative methods. The population in the research were students at the Sang Siroju Lillah Tutoring Institute at elementary, middle and high school levels. The number of samples used in this research was 114 students and used probability sampling which provides equal opportunities for all populations to be sampled. Data was analyzed using the SmartPLS method which went through three stages, namely internal model analysis, external model analysis, and hypothesis testing. Based on research, it shows: 1) service quality and price have a partial effect on customer loyalty, 2) service quality and price have a partial effect on customer satisfaction, 3) customer satisfaction has an effect on customer loyalty, 4) customer satisfaction does not affect customer loyalty so the relationship does not The direct relationship between service quality and customer loyalty through customer satisfaction cannot be verified, while price influences customer loyalty through customer satisfaction which can be verified.

Abstract

The relationship between political parties and patron-client culture in Indonesia has quite complex dynamics. These dynamics are influenced by various factors, including social, economic, and political factors. At the social level, patron-client culture is still quite strong in Indonesian society. This is caused by factors such as poverty, economic inequality, and low levels of education. At the economic level, rapid economic development can improve people's welfare and reduce people's dependence on political parties. However, uneven economic development can increase economic inequality and worsen patron-client culture. At the political level, an undemocratic political system can make it easier for political parties to take advantage of patron-client culture to seize power. Conversely, a democratic political system can limit patron-client practices in politics. The relationship between political parties and patron-client culture has complex impacts, both positive and negative. The positive impact of this relationship is that it can increase people's political participation. The negative impact of this relationship is that it can damage the political system, because it can lead to corruption, collusion, and nepotism. To overcome the negative impacts of this relationship, efforts are needed to strengthen a democratic political system. In addition, efforts are also needed to improve people's welfare and reduce economic inequality.

Abstract

The application of learning media in the learning process is very important. Teachers are required to create an interesting and interactive learning atmosphere, one of which is by using technology-based learning media. One learning media that can be used is the GOSKI application (Google Sites Geological Conditions of Indonesia). The aim of this research is to determine students' responses to the implementation of the GOSKI application in social studies learning at SMPN 10 Malang. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and distributing questionnaires. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Based on the results of the questionnaire analysis that was distributed to students, a percentage of 86% was obtained, which shows a positive response from students towards the application of GOSKI learning media. This shows that the GOSKI application is suitable for use in the learning process. A follow-up recommendation from this research is to examine the application of GOSKI learning media combined with game-based learning.
