This journal covers the actual issues in Islamic communication studies, including the development of contemporary da'wah by utilizing media, Islamic information systems, rhetoric, and government policies regarding broadcasting and information regulation. The purpose of this journal is to promote sharing of knowledge and understanding of the issues of Islamic broadcasting communication.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the implementation of preaching about the environment to overcome the problem of climate change in society. Qualitative research methods with a library study approach. Data collection techniques with documentation studies and data processing with reduction and presentation of data. The results showed: environmental preaching is preaching that is directed at improving and protecting the surrounding environment in the face of global climate change. The purpose of this da'wah is to make people aware of the importance of protecting the surrounding environment which is carried out by providing education to the community, environmental campaigns, developing environmentally friendly products, counseling, and training on the utilization of surrounding environmental resources. With this environmental preaching, it is hoped that the community will become more aware and be able to protect the environment so that it becomes more friendly and beneficial to the surrounding community.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explain and describe the da'wah of mualamah in Islam. The research was conducted qualitatively through library research. Data collection was carried out by means of a documentation study using books, books, the internet, and so on. Data processing with reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study showed: (1) aspects of da'wah: mad'u abilities, geographic location, materials, and tools of da'wah. (2) muamalah aspects: contracts, liking each other, and goods sold are beneficial. (3) Da'wah mulamalah about: capital, honesty, punctuality, hard work, hard work, and motivating the closest people.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify and describe the Sakinah family members in the elderly in Sana Daja Village, Pasean, Pamekasan. The research was conducted qualitatively through case studies. Data collection techniques: interviews with 1 extension worker, 2 extension assistants, and 3 elderly couples. Data processing techniques with reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Data validation technique with technique and source triangulation. The results showed: (1) the implementation of counseling: first, the preparation of counseling, namely influencing the place of counseling is Pasean Pamekasan Religious Affairs Office and preparing counseling materials including self-introspection material, hiding religious values, exemplary, harmony, Qana'ah, and the rights and obligations of husband and wife. The second implementation of counseling: is carried out face to face with the opening stage, giving materials, and closing. 2) The impact of counseling: adding insight about building a sakinah family for the elderly and the community feeling spiritual cleansing.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe and explain the preaching message of Ustadzah Oki Setiana Dewi on the Oki Setiana Dewi Official YouTube channel with the title: It's time for millennial migration, here are Ustadzah Oki Setiana Dewi's tips. Qualitative research methods through a case study approach. Data collection techniques with documentation and data analysis with reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the study: da'wah messages include: (1) hijrah means jihad to be better. (2) hijrah challenges: (a) food, namely having to provide healthy and halal food, (b) fun, namely wasting time for nothing, (c) fashion, which is difficult to cover the genitals, (d) social media, namely often sharing bad things on social media. (3) a good way of migrating with umrah which is supported by the support of the scholars, good physical condition, sufficient finances and sufficient knowledge to carry out umrah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out and describe the use of Instagram as a promotional medium for the Helio ITC Mangga Dua North Jakarta women's clothing store. Qualitative research through the Marketing Mix (4P) approach which includes product, price, place, and promotion. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation, and documentation. Research informants are Helio owners and employees. The results of the study show: the form of marketing communication by utilizing Instagram social media through the @helioshop account is going well. Consumers can provide comments and input to accounts through photo or video sharing, Instagram stories, captions, and hashtag features. The advantage of promoting via Instagram lies in conveying messages to consumers using the features available on Instagram, and also connecting the Instagram application with other applications such as TikTok, Shopee, Facebook, and WhatsApp, thereby increasing Helio sales. Meanwhile, the drawback lies in the application which must be updated regularly to get the latest features and is prone to fraud in the name of Helio.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the influence of humanist da'wah in changing and influencing the process of social transformation and social change in the Muslim community. The study method involves library research and integrated literature analysis to produce an in-depth understanding. The study's results confirmed that humanist da'wah has great potential in forming a more tolerant, humane, and sustainable Muslim society. Human values in Islam become the main foundation for positive changes in the social reality of the Muslim community. The influence of humanist da'wah is not only limited to changes in thinking, behavior, and social dynamics but also embraces human values within the framework of Islamic principles. This results in an inclusive and tolerant environment, reflected in social behavior that is responsive, caring and voluntary to social needs. Nonetheless, challenges such as resistance to change, social polarization, and disinformation remain obstacles that must be overcome. There are great opportunities to harness social inclusion, cross-sectoral cooperation, and interreligious collaboration to strengthen the message of humanist da'wah.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to explain and describe the communication patterns used by cottage caretaker in building a culture of santri discipline in Islamic boarding schools. Qualitative research method through case studies. Data collection techniques using interviews, documentation and observation. Data processing techniques: open coding, axial coding, selective coding and theoretical notes. Research results: (1) primary communication pattern: using verbal or non-verbal language with students. (b) secondary communication patterns: using visual or non-visual equipment with students. (c) linear communication pattern: direct face-to-face and non-face-to-face with students. (d) circular communication pattern: two-way communication that occurs continuously between kiai and santri.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to carry out da'wah management in increasing solidarity and harmony by the youth association of Langdulang Sana Tengah, Pasean, Pamekasan. This research uses a qualitative approach, while this type of research is phenomenological. Data collection techniques: interviews with the head of the youth association, the administrators of the youth association and members of the youth association; observation and documentation of youth association activities. Data processing techniques: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data: continuous observation, peer checking, as well as data source triangulation and thecnic triangulation. The results of the research show that (1) da'wah activities carried out to increase youth solidarity and harmony include sports activities such as volleyball and religious activities such as reading the Qur'an, tahlilan, reading shalawat and fadlu prayers in congregation, (2) implementing da'wah management by formulating activities, forming management, objectives, time, as well as location and costs, dividing work, involving all administrators, and assessing the da'wah activities that have been carried out.

Abstract

The widespread use of social media, particularly Instagram, poses new challenges in maintaining ethical communication and commenting practices, especially in the context of Islamic values. This research aims to analyze commenting practices on social media considering Islamic ethical values and the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Fatwa on social interactions on the Instagram account @taubatters. The research methodology employed qualitative analysis through document analysis. Data collection techniques involved documentation, and data processing utilized reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that while most comments on the Instagram account @taubatters reflect Islamic muamalah principles according to the MUI Fatwa, emphasizing faith, piety, and moral values in social media interactions, the analysis also reveals comments that violate these principles, such as backbiting, slander, spreading discord, and bullying, contradicting Islamic teachings and potentially harming others. This underscores the complexity of social interactions in the digital world, where some adhere well to ethical practices while others have yet to fully embrace existing moral guidelines.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe the role of Indonesian mobile sisters in social and religious activities at the Khadijati Foundation. The research method is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data processing techniques using reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Data validity technique using triangulation. Research results: (1) role: compensation for orphans and poor people, Friday rounds, humanitarian activities, assistance for orphans and poor people in Palestine, and providing Qurbani for memorizing the Qur'an. (2) Supporting factors: synergy and partnership between sister communities, and use of social media platforms for social movements. Inhibiting factors: time flexibility, limitations on movement, donation cases. Conclusion: the role of the sisters in the foundation is running very well and has great benefits for society.
