Abstract

No matter how great a policy plan or program is, if it is not realized properly and correctly then the program or policy will be in vain. Policy implementation requires policy implementers who are truly honest, have appropriate competence, are highly committed to producing their goals and really pay attention to applicable government regulations. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach with a total number of 33 people who were determined purposively then the primary and secondary data collected were analyzed using data analysis techniques from Creswell (2016).In this research the author uses the policy implementation model from Donald Van Meter and Carl E. Van Horn (1975) which states that there are six variables that influence the implementation of the policy of eliminating movable state property at Nusa Cendana University, namely; (1) policy standards in the form of regulations regarding the elimination of movable state property at Nusa Cendana University are unable to influence policy targets; (2). the existence of sufficient resources; (3) communication between organizations and strengthening activities is still not effective; (4) the characteristics of implementing agents have a level of communication that is not yet open; (5) supportive socio-economic and political conditions; (6) the implementor's disposition where a situation is considered very complex or controversial, so that the implementor finds it very difficult to take a firm stance on the BMN elimination policy.

Abstract

Fast and dynamic economic growth requires companies to choose a chief executive officer (CEO) who has strong technical and managerial skills. One important ability for a company CEO to have is financial expertise. The CEO's financial capabilities can help the company manage resources more efficiently and effectively, especially during times of crisis. This research aims to determine the role of CEO financial expertise on company performance during the Covid 19 pandemic. This research is quantitative in nature using secondary data obtained from the company's annual report and financial statements. The sample for this research was 40 property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2020-2022. The data analysis technique used is panel data regression analysis. The results obtained show that CEO financial expertise plays a negative and significant role in company performance. This finding explains that, during the financial crisis, the CEO's expertise was not able to improve company performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of profitability, solvency, company size, and company age on the level of underpricing of IPO shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2013- 2023. Underpricing is the difference between the IPO stock offering price and the market price when the shares are first traded on the market. This study aims to examine the effect of profitability, solvency, company size and company age on the level of underpricing of IPOshares on the IDX for the period 2013-2023. The sample of this study was 376 using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using non-participant observation methods. The data analysis technique used is the Structural Equation Model (SEM) using Partial Least Square (PLS). Research data is processed using Smart-PLS version 4 software by evaluating the inner model and bootstrapping. The results of this study indicate that profitability, solvency, company size and company age have a negative effect on the level of underpricing of IPO shares on the IDX for the period 2013-2023. This means that the better profitability, solvency and company size owned can reduce the level of underpricing of IPO shares. Companies that have been established for a long time can also reduce the level of underpricing of IPO shares on the IDX for the 2013-2023 period.

Abstract

Manufacturing companies are the largest contributor to tax revenue in Indonesia. However, this group experienced negative tax revenue growth when in general there was growth in tax revenue. The existence of foreign ownership and the use of debt (financial leverage) is suspected to be one of the causes of tax avoidance by the company even though it has been audited by an external party. The study was conducted using Moderated Regression Analysis on 124 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The results showed that foreign ownership had no significant effect on tax avoidance, while financial leverage had a significant effect on tax avoidance. In addition, audit quality does not moderate significantly the influence of foreign ownership and financial leverage.

Digitalization of the financial sector through non-cash payment instrument means brings many benefits to the Indonesian economy, but also has consequences behind it. This research aims to determine the effect of non-cash payment instruments consisting of electronic money and card payment on inflation in Indonesia using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method. The results of this research show that shocks in the value of electronic money transactions and card payments have a positive effect on inflation in line with the quantity theory of money. This paper concludes that the digitalization of the financial sector gives impacts on inflation in Indonesia, so the government should prepare appropriate policies to balance the positive effects on economic growth and the negative effects on inflation.

Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study collects purposive sampling-based data through literature studies, documentation, and other supporting data to provide an in-depth understanding of the technostructure conditions of the two countries. The discussion includes a detailed analysis of the state of Indonesia's technostructure and the challenges it faces. Then the study continues by comparing the technostructure readiness of Indonesia and Vietnam to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of each country, and the final stage details the strategic steps that the Indonesian government must take in the next three decades to achieve competitive technostructure readiness in Indonesia. This study concludes that it is important for Indonesia to accelerate the development of technostructure to increase the attractiveness of global technology investment, especially with open management.

Abstract

Tourism management in Kupang City requires significant attention from the local government due to its current low income from this sector. Given the city's promising tourism potential, it can be a vital avenue to boost local revenue, enhance the community's economy, and foster regional development. This qualitative research involved primary and secondary data sources collected via observation, interviews, and document searches with 40 informants. The data were analyzed using Creswell's (2016) methodology. Findings indicate that: (a) Both official and unofficial actors are involved in planning; (b) Economic reviews identify community mindset as a threat, economic development as an opportunity, budget constraints as a weakness, and the city's status as the provincial capital and gateway to Timor Leste as strengths; (c) Current tourism is limited to natural sites, with urban tourism development not yet optimal; (d) Goals and strategies are aligned with the city's vision and mission, requiring communication between stakeholders and the community; (e) The Kupang City Tourism Office is still developing the city tourism development plan.

Abstract

This study aims to profile ecotourism and the creative economy from a local wisdom perspective, analyze and design their development models, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors. The research employs qualitative data analysis in Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. Findings reveal that Alor Regency's ecotourism and creative economy boast unique diversity, offering significant local economic and welfare enhancement potential. Despite adopting sustainable community-based tourism, the development model's implementation and sustainability remain unclear. Two proposed models suggest a dominant community role with private partners or a private sector-led approach involving the community. Supporting factors include Alor's designation as a National Tourism Strategic Area in Ripparnas. However, several inhibiting factors hinder development, such as the inadequate quality and service standards of tourist attractions, insufficient facilities and infrastructure, low human resource quality, and issues with standardization, promotion, and institutions. To address these challenges, a shift in perspective is necessary, along with strategic planning targeting long-term, medium-term, and short-term goals. A joint commitment among stakeholders is also essential for sustainable development.
