Abstract

Delivering greetings and prayers to the Prophet Muhammad is a form of worship that is highly recommended in Islam. Allah SWT and His angels also sent greetings and prayers to the Prophet Muhammad, although with different intentions and ways. To expand the spread of greetings and prayers to the Prophet Muhammad, many methods of da'wah are used, such as holding prayer assemblies, lectures, and using social media as a means of da'wah. One method of da'wah through social media is through YouTube channels. One of the YouTube channels that promotes greetings and prayers to the Prophet Muhammad is Gus Aldi's YouTube channel. This YouTube channel conveys greetings and prayers in an entertaining style. The da'wah approach through humor aims to make the da'wah of greetings and prayers not boring, because it is delivered with a touch of jokes. However, it is important to remember that in Islamic teachings, not all types of jokes are allowed. . Abstract

Active commuting can be enhanced through infrastructure development to promote well-being. Lack of awareness and little or no knowledge of the importance and health benefits reduces the rate at which school children and policymakers value active commuting in Nigeria. The study analysed the activities of active school commuting with cycling in Ota, to provide information on how it would enhance the well-being of young people. Primary (questionnaire) and secondary data were used. A multistage sampling method was adopted. Twenty public schools were identified, and 50% were randomly selected.  Random sampling was used to select 20 students up to age from each school selected for the survey, therefore having a total of 200 questionnaires. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics and five-point Likert-scales method.  The findings revealed that the road was not constructed to standard, was not in good condition, and lacked some necessary amenities. Active commuting users were not satisfied with the existing conditions of the road. Well-being indicators revealed that derived active factors have the highest mean score of 4.07, and respected active factors have the lowest mean score of 2.74.  Active school commuting is a subset of physical activity which promotes wellness and quality of life. It is recommended that the government should rehabilitate the road up to standard and provide necessary amenities for the safety of active commuting users. Local governments also can organize active commuting sports competitions for school children and young ones in their jurisdiction.

Abstract

During World War II, electricity companies in Indonesia were controlled by Japan and subsequently seized by Indonesian youths after independence in September 1945, then handed over to the Republic of Indonesia government. President Sukarno established the Electricity and Gas Office on October 27, 1945. PLN (State Electricity Company) has adopted various innovations, including Prepaid Electricity Service (LPB), as part of efforts to enhance service quality to the public. This study focuses on comparing satisfaction between Prepaid and Postpaid electricity users based on community perceptions in Bandar Sribhawono. Data analysis methods using Chi-Square test and Coefficient of Contingency indicate that the presence of Prepaid PLN significantly contributes to improving community satisfaction, with a contingency coefficient value of 0.7985, exceeding the critical value set. These findings suggest that promotional strategies and services implemented by PT PLN (State Electricity Company) Distribution in Bandar Sribhawono have the potential to influence public preferences in choosing between Prepaid and Postpaid electricity. The implications of these findings can serve as a basis for enhancing marketing strategies and services to achieve broader adoption of Prepaid Electricity in the future.

Abstract

Pepper (Piper nigrum L.) is a valuable spice that is highly profitable, but often difficult to cultivate in the early phase of cuttings growth. This study investigated how different types of growing media and concentrations of extracts from shallots impacted the growth of these single internode pepper cuttings. The study was conducted using a Factorial Randomised Group Design repeated five times. One internode of pepper cuttings was planted on three types of media: soil, soil + compost, soil + burnt husk, and soil + sand. In addition, they were treated with onion extract at concentrations of 200 millilitres of onion extract per litre of water, 250 millilitres of onion extract per litre of water, and 300 millilitres of onion extract per litre of water. Observations included root length, number of leaves, and shoot height. Results showed that the growing medium and concentration of shallot extract greatly affected the growth of pepper cuttings. The mixed media of soil + compost with 300 ml shallot extract/L water produced the best growth for shoot height and number of leaves observed. This proves that soil + compost mixed media with 300 ml/L shallot extract may be a good option for pepper cuttings. This study provides a scientific basis for a more productive and efficient method of pepper cultivation.

Abstract

Language is crucial for communication and understanding in various aspects of life, including economy, education, politics, and culture. English is the dominant language, but learning it can be challenging due to native speakers' unique personalities and cultures. Speaking ability is crucial for language development and fluency in a second language, and technology like Hilokal offers new opportunities for language learners to improve their skills through interactive apps. This study uses George's library research theory and qualitative research to understand Hilokal, a language learning app that bridges the gap between formal instruction and real-life language use. The app offers interactive games, real audio recordings, and movies to expose learners to native speakers' speech patterns, addressing barriers to building speaking skills. However, Hilokal has two main drawbacks: less popularity and usability compared to popular platforms like Duolingo, and may not be suitable for young learners due to its focus on active conversation. To compete, Hilokal needs to invest in targeted marketing, optimize its user interface, collaborate with language educators, and create an age-appropriate version for young learners.
