Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of economic growth and human development index on the unemployment rate in South Sumatra. The data used in this research is secondary data sourced from           with a five-year observation period, namely 2018-2022. The analysis method used in this research is panel data regression. The results showed that economic growth had no effect on unemployment and human development index (HDI) had an effect on unemployment. Meanwhile, together the variables of economic growth and human development index affect the variable unemployment rate in South Sumatra.

Abstract

Athena English Course, an English course institution in Bandung, faces challenges in increasing the number of registrants, especially in online IELTS preparation classes. This study aims to analyze the influence of the 7P marketing mix elements-Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Process, and Physical Evidence-on customer purchase intention in choosing an online IELTS preparation course. The research approach used is a mixture of qualitative and quantitative methods, with data collection through respondent surveys. The data obtained were analyzed using SmartPLS to evaluate the significance of the relationship between variables. The results showed that Price, Promotion, Product, and People elements have a positive influence on customer purchase intention, while Place, Process, and Physical Evidence elements have a weaker or insignificant impact.The findings provide insights for English course providers in designing more effective marketing strategies to attract more students and increase sustainable business growth. Based on the research results, Athena English Course can optimize 3 main strategies, namely first, focusing on new market segmentation that is more specific and has minimal competitors, second, utilizing social media marketing promotions, and third, readjusting the price of the products offered to compete with competitors and reach a wider market. With a more targeted approach, Athena English Course has the potential to increase its revenue and competitiveness in the English language education industry in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Leuwigajah landfill collapse disaster has left dark memories for the people of Bandung. After the incident occurred, the area in the Greater Bandung area practically no longer had a landfill. In a matter of days, almost all corners of Bandung City were filled with garbage. The dark incident finally began to return to normal when the government opened the Sarimukti landfill. The garbage could finally be transported to the Sarimukti landfill. The people of Bandung City realized the importance of urban waste management. This study aims to identify the characteristics of the people of Bandung City, who are consumers of urban waste management services. Calculating the willingness to pay (WTP) for urban waste management. WTP in the people of Bandung City is based on the type of settlement. The results of this study show that the average WTP value in dense settlements is Rp. 2,978, - / capita / month, the average WTP in non-dense settlements is Rp. 9,386, - / capita / month

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in Indonesia’s economic growth, contributing significantly to GDP and employment. Despite their potential, MSMEs in rural West Java face challenges such as limited market access, inadequate entrepreneurial capacity, and insufficient infrastructure. This study examines the rural entrepreneurial ecosystem and proposes a business incubation model focused on stimulation, support, and sustainability to enhance MSME growth. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews with MSME operators, Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) managers, and local government representatives. Thematic analysis identified key barriers, including a subsistence-oriented mindset, limited financial access, and weak institutional support. To address these challenges, this research proposes a tailored business incubation framework emphasizing entrepreneurial mindset development, mentorship, financial literacy, and infrastructure support. The model also integrates strategies for innovation, market expansion, and stakeholder collaboration. This study contributes to understanding rural entrepreneurial ecosystems and provides practical recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders to support sustainable MSME development in West Java.

Abstract

This study examines the strategies employed by market players in monopoly and oligopoly systems and their impact on business competition dynamics. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that in monopolies, market players leverage dominance to control prices and resources, whereas in oligopolies, collaborative and selective competition strategies are adopted to maintain market stability. These strategies significantly affect innovation challenges, market access inequality, and the need for effective regulatory policies. This research provides recommendations to enhance market balance and consumer protection through strengthened regulation and policy monitoring.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence non-performing loans at PT. Mandiri Tunas Finance, the implementation of Risk Management in minimizing non-performing loans at PT. Mandiri Tunas Finance and restructuring carried out in overcoming non-performing loans. The research method uses descriptive qualitative research. The results of the study indicate that the factors that influence non-performing loans at PT. Mandiri Tunas Finance are divided into two factors, namely internal factors such as incorrect analysis and the Account Officer's lack of accuracy in analyzing 5C both before the loan is taken and after it is disbursed, while external factors such as uncertain economic conditions have caused customers' businesses to experience reduced income and can no longer pay. The implementation of Risk Management in minimizing non-performing loans at PT. Mandiri Tunas Finance, including: Carrying out financing settlements politely and persuasively with customers; Carrying out rescheduling , namely changing the payment schedule for customer obligations or their terms; Carrying out reconditioning , namely changing some or all of the financing requirements without increasing the remaining principal of the customer's obligations that must be paid to the bank; Restructuring , namely changing the financing requirements. Restructuring in overcoming problematic credit at PT. Mandiri Tunas Finance is carried out by prioritizing the element of wisdom regarding the situation faced by debtors and the debtor's ability to pay, including taking into account the direction and policies of the regulator.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the extent to which transformational leadership and innovative behavior simultaneously influence employee performance at PT Supra Primatama Nusantara (Biznet) Medan Branch. Quantitative research is research that uses data in the form of numbers as a tool to find information about what you want to know. Population in this study were all employees who worked at PT Supra Primatama Nusantara (Biznet) Medan Branch, totaling 120 people, the sample in this study was 55 respondents who were obtained using the Slovin technique, the data analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis, the results of this research are that the transformational leadership Variable has a positive and significant effect on (Biznet) employees. The innovative behavior variable has a positive and significant effect on (Biznet) employees, the independent variables consisting of transformational Leadership (X_1), innovative behavior (X_2), simultaneously have a significant effect on Performance.

Abstract

The problem of narcotics in Indonesia is currently a challenge for all levels of society, not only for law enforcers in terms of the police to prevent drug abuse but also a challenge for all parents in Indonesia so that their children are not involved in drug abuse, because the number of drug abuse in Indonesia always increases from year to year, as in decision Number 500 / Pid.Sus / 2024 / PN Plg. So the problem is what are the judge's considerations in passing his verdict using alternative charges against drug intermediaries in verdict Number 500/Pid.Sus/2024/PN Plg? Then what are the sanctions against drug intermediaries in Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics? The method used is the normative legal research method using primary and secondary legal materials. Meanwhile, the results of the study explain the Judge's Considerations in Passing His Verdict Using Alternative Charges Against Drug Intermediaries in Decision Number 500/Pid.Sus/2024/PN Plg, namely considerations from the legal aspect and considerations from the non-legal aspect so that the judge's considerations are considerations from the evidence and considerations of the elements of narcotics crimes regulated in Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. And the sanctions against drug intermediaries in Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, the sanctions for intermediaries in this law are the same as the sanctions for distributors, thus the defendant P was sentenced to 8 (eight) years in prison and a fine of Rp 1,000,000,000.00 (one billion rupiahs), if the fine is not paid, it will be replaced with imprisonment for 6 (six) months. And sentenced the defendant to pay court costs of Rp 5,000, - (five thousand rupiahs).

Abstract

Legal protection for children who are being prosecuted for the abuse of methamphetamine is by providing special protection from the government and state institutions in the form of supervision, prevention, care, and rehabilitation by the government and the community. The formulation of the problem in this study is: 1. What is the legal protection for children who are being prosecuted for the abuse of methamphetamine? and. 2. How is the application of criminal sanctions against children who are suspects of methamphetamine based on Law Number: 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection? The research method used in this study is normative research. The data sources used in this study consist of primary and secondary data. Based on the results of the study, it shows that: 1). Legal protection for children who are being prosecuted for the abuse of methamphetamine, children must be given special protection by both the government and special institutions, according to Article 3 of Law Number. 11 of 2012 concerning the Child Criminal Justice System which emphasizes that one of the rights of children is not to be arrested, detained, imprisoned except as a last resort. The rights mentioned in letter h of Article 3 are one of the fundamental rights that must be considered by Police and Court Investigators. 2). The application of criminal sanctions against children who are suspects of methamphetamine based on Law Number: 35 of 2014 concerning the Protection of Children who abuse narcotics can be carried out by diversion which is a very important policy to be applied in the formal justice process. In addition, children can also be subject to criminal sanctions which are a last resort. Criminal sanctions for children consist of principal and additional penalties. Principal penalties consist of warning penalties, penalties with conditions, job training, and coaching in institutions

Abstract

This study examines the conflict between Aceh and Indonesia through the lens of three theoretical perspectives: primordialism, ethno-nationalism, and constructionism. Using video collections from the Journeyman Pictures YouTube channel, the research analyzes visual narratives of the conflict, including human rights abuses, natural resource exploitation, and political struggles. While it was initially expected that one theory would be more dominant, the findings reveal an interconnection between these perspectives. Primordialism is the most evident in the videos, as Acehnese identity is portrayed as distinct from the rest of Indonesia, reinforced by grievances over economic injustice and military oppression. Ethno-nationalist and constructionist elements are also present, particularly in framing Aceh’s resistance as a response to territorial nationalism. The study highlights the role of elite persuasion in Aceh’s integration into Indonesia, reinforcing constructionist arguments that nationalism is socially constructed. Additionally, the research underscores the significant impact of human rights abuses on prolonging the conflict. By integrating multiple theoretical perspectives, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of Aceh’s struggle and broader discussions on nationalism, conflict, and reconciliation
