Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the simulation game monopoly in the STAD type cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of junior high school students. The population in this study were all class VIII SMPN 4 Bathin Solapan for the 2018/2019 academic year. The samples in this study were students of class VIII-4 as the experimental class and VIII-5 as the control class. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a Noneequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used was a random sample technique. The data collection instruments used in this study were pretest and posttest sheets. The data analysis technique used is inferential statistical analysis. From the N-gain data for both classes, it is obtained t-count>t-table. This means rejected means that there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of the experimental class and the control class. This shows that there is an effect of the monopoly game simulation in the STAD type cooperative learning model in this study on the learning outcomes of junior high school students

Abstract

Mathematical creative thinking is the ability to produce varied answers or ideas to solve problems in mathematics. This study aims to build a valid learning device on flat-sided geometry using the POE model (Prediction, Observation, Explanation). The learning tools developed were syllabus, lesson plans, and LKPD on the flat side space building material. This type of research is development research with the ADDIE model, modified into three stages (Analysis, Design dan Development) without the implementation and evaluation stages. The research data collection instrument was a learning device validation sheet in a syllabus, lesson plans, and LKPD. Analysis of the data used is descriptive data analysis that describes the level of validity of the product. This study yielded a valid syllabus, lesson plans, and LKPD with 83.65%, 87.86%, and 86.31%, respectively. This study concludes that the Development of mathematical learning tools based on the POE model on the flat-sided geometry material has been tested for validity

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach on understanding mathematical concepts in class X SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru in the 2019/2020 school year. This research is a Quasi Experiment with a Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru with a sample of class X IPS 2 as the experimental class, which was given treatment using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach and class X IPS 3 as a control class using conventional learning. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data collection took place from February 14, 2020, to March 4, 2020. The data collection technique in this study was carried out using a test technique. Data were analyzed using inferential analysis. In this study, the data was assumed to be normal; therefore, the inferential analysis carried out only the homogeneity test and t-test. The research results obtained are t-count>t-table. This shows that there is an effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach on the ability to understand mathematical concepts in class X SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru

Abstract

The research aimed to produce a mathematical learning device based on contextual learning. This research uses the ADDIE model, which consists of 4 stages: the Analysis stage, the Design stage, the Development stage, and the Evaluation stage. The researcher did not use the Implementation (trial) stage in the ADDIE model because school learning in the 2019/2020 school year was carried out online. The data collection technique used a non-test technique, namely by using a validation sheet as a data collection instrument which was given to 4 validators consisting of 2 FKIP UIR lecturers and two mathematics teachers at SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. The data analysis technique used is the quantitative descriptive analysis technique of ratio data. The results showed that the feasibility of learning tools in lesson plans had an average of 88.48% for the four validators. For LKPD, the average of the four validators was 90.83%, with very valid criteria. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the development of learning tools based on contextual learning on the subject matter of the set is valid

Abstract

This study aimed to produce learning tools based on a valid CRH type of cooperative learning model. The learning tools developed are in the form of a Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) and Student Worksheets (LKPD). The development model used in this research is the Plomp model, which is modified into four stages, namely: (1) Initial investigation, (2) Design, (3) Realization/construction, (4) Test, evaluation, and revision. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. From the research results, the average total validation of the RPP is 88.67%, with very valid criteria. This means that the RPP made by the researcher is suitable for use or trial. Then, the average total validation of LKPD is 84.98%, with quite valid criteria. This means that the LKPD made by the researcher is feasible to use but requires a small revision. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that the development of learning tools based on the CRH type cooperative model on the material of compositional and inverse functions whose validity has been tested is feasible to use

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical problem solving ability of students at the Golden Star Informatics Junior High School. This study aims to determine the effect of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model on the mathematical problem solving ability of the students of class VIII SMP Informatika Golden Star. The research method used is quasi-experimental with posttest only control design. Class VIII A as the control class and class VIII B as the experimental class. The instrument used to determine the mathematical problem solving ability is the post test results of six questions. Data analysis for students' mathematical problem solving ability was carried out using the t' test. Based on the results of the data analysis of students' mathematical problem solving abilities, the results of hypothesis testing using the t' test were obtained compared to at a significant level of 0.05 Because , it was rejected. This shows that the average mathematical problem solving ability of students from the two groups is not the same. Then there is the effect of the application of the NHT cooperative learning model on the mathematical problem solving abilities of eighth grade students of Golden Star Informatics Junior High School.
