Abstract

Bima ethnics were the genealogies of specific ethnic who once strongly upheld the traditions and local cultures in their everyday life. The local understanding of the Bima ethnics was reflected in the idea of their local wisdom and cultural spirit based on the fundamental values of Islamic teaching and tradition that considered as moral attitudes and guidance to control their behavior and morality in daily basis either in private sphere or in social sphere. There are at least two cultural values that were strongly influenced by Islamic teachings and traditions, namely Maja Labo Dahu (Shamed and Scared) and Nggahi Rawi Pahu (Speech according to actions). Those cultural values can be considered as living traditions because those local wisdoms reflected in people everyday life in the past. Those terms have been a slogan for Bima and Dompu regency as a way of Bima ethnic moral life that shaped how they conduct elite life in government and human’s everyday life in society. On the other hand, those cultural values are not strongly reflected in Bima youth generation nowadays. This case is what I call as leaving tradition because the cultures of Maja Labo Dahu and Nggahi Rawi Pahu have gradually disappeared in Bima society nowadays. Therefore, the main question of this article is (1) How does the construction of Islamic teaching and tradition uphold in Bima cultural life? and (2). Why does the value of Bima cultures not gradually apply in their daily basis nowadays? This research employs a qualitative research, with data analyses of literature review from academic article, journal, and thesis.

Abstract

The sharing economy business model implemented by Gojek posits its motorbike drivers as partners with the status of independent contractors. However, some empirical studies show the practice of an asymmetrical working relationship and places Gojek's driver-partners as the exploited party. Gojek's business is hegemonic since the exploited practices are wrapped in affective ways, e.g. through the concept of partnerships that glorify freedom and flexibility and the gamification strategy used in the application. In the context of this new emerged business practice, there is a vagueness about the legal status of the driver-partners. This is merely a corporate strategy to avoid the obligation to provide social protections for drivers because of their non-employee status. However, in the midst of hyper-exploitation practices carried out by the corporation, several studies have revealed actions of resistance conducted by driver-partners, ranging from demonstrations, boycotts, to various uses of application modification. In contrast to previous studies, this paper particularly elaborates a form of counter-hegemony action carried out by three Gojek driver-partners who become selebgram (stands for the celebrities of Instagram in Bahasa Indonesia). Their affliction as Gojek driver-partners who often experience income deficiency due to high competitiveness and complicated platform work systems, are used to accumulate social capital and economic capital.

Eco-friendly schools are currently popular among Malaysian middle and upper classes. because they teach youngsters about minimalism and provide an eco-friendly learning environment. They teach children about minimalism and provide an eco-friendly learning environment. The trendy minimalist lifestyle is the opponent of overconsumption. In education, students' knowledge, perspectives, and interests determine overall understanding and acceptance of minimalism. 74 students from three Eco-high schools in Kuala Lumpur participated in our quantitative study, which was evaluated with SPSS 20. Respondents must be Muslim, and the majority are Malays. The questionnaire has four sections, one for demographics and three for factors. Abstract

The public is highly concerned about moral deterioration in situations of sexual abuse in Indonesian colleges. The Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology released Regulation Number 30 of 2021 addressing the prevention and treatment of sexual violence in universities as a response to this problem. But however, the substance of sexual violence in this regulation includes the paradigm of sexual consent which recognizes that an agreement between two perpetrators is not a criminal conduct, resulting in opposition from a wide range of parties. As a result of this situation, it appears as if religious principles are irrelevant, and that advantage takes precedence over sharia. The researcher proposes a solution in this article through learning in the context of sexual education for adolescents. So that they do not think wrongly and act in various ways. This study uses a library research method that refers to contemporary books as primary sources, scientific journals, and websites as secondary references. Technical analysis employs of a traditionalist-philosophical approach that examines phenomena that are irrelevant and not in line with norms and religious values.

Abstract

Lake Tempe is one of the 15 lakes in critical condition in Indonesia. It is located in South Sulawesi province, bordering the Wajo Regency, Soppeng Regency, and Sidrap Regency. However, the tempe lake management policy in the form of a regional regulation has been only owned by the government of Wajo Regency. This study uses qualitative research that utilize the William N Dunn model of policy evaluation. The management of Lake Tempe tends to base on the Pentahelix concept framework, which has been involving the local government of Wajo Regency, State Enterprises/Private Sectors, Universities/Academics, Media, Community/Non-Governmental Organizations. Besides, it refers to the program of the Ministry of Environment, namely Gerakan Penyelamatan Danau (Lake Rescue Movement). The criticism of the Lake Tempe Management Policy in Wajo Regency is that the content of the policy analysis only focuses on ecosystem issues, while the policy should include several important aspects, such as the social, economic, and cultural fields of the Lake Tempe coastal community. Then a synergistic multi-sectoral policy is needed.
