Abstract

Introduction: The family planning program is an initiative aimed at controlling population growth through birth control. Contraception serves as an effective method for planning pregnancies. This quantitative study employed a non-experimental design using an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consist of 32 respondents selected through accidental sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed with the chi-square test at a significance level of 95% (?=0.05). Chi-square test results showed that the knowledge factor had a p-value of 0.009, indicating a significant relationship with interest in postpartum contraception with use Intrauterine Device (IUD). Husband's support had a p-value of 0.019, counseling or information provided by health workers had a p-value of 0.050, and cultural factors demonstrated a p-value of 0.009, all significantly associated with interest in postpartum contraception with IUD. In conclusion, this study demonstrates a significant relationship between maternal knowledge, husband’s support, information provided by health workers, and cultural influences with the level of interest in IUD use among postnatal mothers

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescents are vulnerable to sexual violence. Violenceaffecting adolescents includes sexual violence in personal relationships, suchas dating, and sexual violence against children, with perpetrators often beingclose family members. Additionally, community violence can occur betweenfriends or in public locations. Health counseling on sexual violence canprevent this violence by enhancing adolescents' knowledge and attitudes aboutsexual violence. The study aims to determine the effect of health education onadolescents' knowledge and attitudes about sexual violence. This research isa quasi-experiment (pseudo-experiment) with a time series design. Thesample was 32 students at SMPN 1 Sakra, which was determined by clusterrandom sampling, so class VIIIB was chosen as the research sample. Healthcounseling on sexual violence was provided with animated video media. Dataprocessing with a paired t-test has tested the validity and reliability ofinstruments to measure adolescents' knowledge and attitudes about sexualviolence. This study's results showed there is an effect of health education onadolescents' knowledge and attitudes about sexual violence, with a p-value of0.000 each, where there is an increase in adolescents' knowledge about sexualviolence after being given education, with the difference between pretest andposttest being 2.72. After receiving education, adolescents' attitudes aboutsexual violence increase, showing a difference between the pretest andposttest of 3.75. The conclusion is that there is an effect of health educationon adolescents' knowledge and attitudes about sexual violence throughanimated video media.

Abstract

Introduction: The rapid growth of population and economic activity has exacerbated waste management challenges in Indonesia, including in West Aceh Regency. The imbalance between waste generation and the capacity of existing management systems has led to waste accumulation in various locations, particularly in densely populated areas. This study aims to examine the role of the Environmental Agency (DLH) in addressing waste congestionand to identify the supporting and constraining factors that influence the implementation of waste management policies in West Aceh Regency. A qualitative descriptive design with a phenomenological approach was employed to gain an in-depth understanding of the experiences and perceptions of waste management stakeholders. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document review using purposive sampling, involving DLH officials, sanitation workers, and community members. Data analysis was conducted through iterative processes of reduction, presentation, and verification. The findings indicate that the West Aceh DLH plays a strategic role in waste management through the implementation of a controlled landfill system, community education on waste segregation, and strengthened cross- sectoral collaboration such as waste bank initiatives and communal clean-up activities. However, policy effectiveness remains constrained by limitedfacilities and infrastructure, insufficient human resources, and low community participation in fee payment and waste sorting practices. In conclusion, successful waste management in West Aceh requires greater synergy among institutional capacity, regulatory support, and community-based social awareness to ensure sustainable waste governance.

Abstract

Introduction: Chest radiography is a fundamental imaging modality used to detect abnormalities of the lungs and heart. The quality of the produced images is critical to ensuring diagnostic accuracy. However, several challenges—such as variations in examination techniques, patient positioning, exposure parameters, and equipment condition—can compromise radiographic quality. This study aimed to analyze the factors influencing chest radiography quality and to evaluate the imaging standards applied at the Radiology Department of Dr. M. Haulussy Ambon Regional General Hospital.A mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative analyses, was employed. Quantitative data were obtained from 100 chest radiograph samples, while qualitative insights were gathered through in-depth interviews with radiographers and radiologists. The quantitative analysis revealed that 65% of the radiographs were of good quality, 25% were adequate, and 10% required repetition. Qualitative findings indicated that limited routine training, aging equipment, and inconsistencies in radiographic techniques among practitioners were key factors contributing to reduced image quality.Based on these findings, practical recommendations were proposed to enhance operational standards and strengthen human resource competencies. The study provides a valuable basis for continuous quality improvement in radiology services, particularly in hospitals within Eastern Indonesia

Abstract

Introduction: One of the important areas of research is evaluating the effectiveness of the Health Information System Application (ASIK) for immunization activities in Makassar City. This study applied the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to assess the level of acceptance of the ASIK application in immunization services. The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of perceived usefulness on use behavior, or actual usage, of the ASIK application in immunization activities in Makassar City. A quantitative analytical study with a cross-sectional design was conducted. The study population consisted of 61 immunization officers who used the ASIK application during immunization activities in Makassar City throughout the study period. All eligible immunization officers were included as research participants using a purposive sampling technique based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in a total sample of 61 respondents. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test with SPSS software to examine the association between variables. The results showed that perceived usefulness of the ASIK application was predominantly positive (95.1%), and use behavior or actual usage of the application was also categorized as positive (96.7%). However, the chi-square analysis indicated no significant association between perceived usefulness and use behavior of the ASIK immunization application (p = 0.903). In conclusion, perceived usefulness did not significantly influence the actual usage behavior of the ASIK application in immunization activities in Makassar City.
