Abstract

Kejadian sindrom metabolik dengan segala efek negatifnya bagi kesehatan masih tinggi di Indonesia. Masyarakat belum sepenuhnya menyadari tentang bahaya, gejala dan penyebab sindrom metabolik. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah mendeteksi secara dini kejadian sindrom metabolik dan memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat tentang sindrom metabolik. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Desa Topejawa Sulawesi Selatan. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 60 peserta dengan kelompok usia terbanyak adalah 41-50 tahun dan 51-60 tahun. Pada kegiatan ini ditemukan sebanyak 51,67% mengalami sindrom metabolik dengan obesitas sentral sebagai komponen sindrom metabolik terbanyak (70%). Edukasi yang diberikan bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang gejala, bahaya, dan penyebab sindrom metabolik, sehingga diharapkan masyarakat memperbaiki pola makan dan meningkatkan aktifitas fisik guna mencegah terjadinya sindrom metabolik beserta komplikasinya.

Abstract

Penyakit ialah salah satu bentuk Stressor, membuat para penderitanya terkhusus lansia mengalami kecemasan, stres dan bahkan sampai pada gangguan depresi. Hal ini pun bisa berdampak pada orang-orang terdekat khususnya keluarga, baik berdampak pada fisiologis ataupun faktor psikologisnya. Keluarga sampai bisa mengorbankan waktu dan tenaganya hingga membuat kelelahan serta memunculkan stres. Adapun orang yang merawat para lansia dengan PTM disebut dengan caregiver. Kemudian dari hal itu peneliti melakukan psikoedukasi manajemen stres kepada para lansia  dan khususnya kepada caregiver sebagai jalan keluar dalam permasalahan stres mereka, dengan metode dzikir dan juga dukungan sosial. Metode dzikir ini dipakai karena, dari dzikir ini memiliki manfaat yang sangat banyak untuk psikologisnya, diantara manfaatnya ialah meredakan stres, meningkatkan keberhargaan diri dan lainnya. Kemudian metode dukungan sosial juga menjadi fokus peneliti dalam psikoedukasi ini, hal ini juga didasari oleh manfaat dari dukungan sosial. Adapun bentuk dukungan sosial itu bermacam-macam, diantaranya memberi nasihat, membantu dalam aktivitas keseharian dan lainnya. Psikoedukasi ini melalui 3 langkah: yaitu tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Dalam tahap evaluasi peneliti melakukan wawancara mengenai pemahaman manajemen stres kepada caregiver dan menemukan hasil bahwa caregiver memenuhi aspek pemahaman.

Abstract

Hypertension and diabetes mellitus are major challenges in Indonesia. These two diseases are most often found in health services with a fairly high prevalence. It is important to do early detection of diabetes mellitus and hypertension in order to optimize management if detected and the public also needs to be educated so they understand the importance of having their health status checked. The importance of innovation in overcoming non-communicable disease problems in society with the aim of making people aware of the importance of hypertension and diabetes screening and monitoring of sufferers. The SI AdiT GerAH innovation is an innovation to control Non-Communicable Diseases with modifications such as cooking demonstrations and the involvement of cadres and families in monitoring people with diabetes and hypertension as well as the existence of stickers intended as a sign that the community must be aware of emergencies for sufferers.

Abstract

Status gizi rendah di Indonesia merupakan masalah kesehatan yang belum teratasi. Prevalensi balita Underweight di Upt puskesmas dalu sepuluh juga cukup tinggi karena masalah underweight berada pada urutan ke 2 masalah gizi kesehatan. Masalah Underweight pada balita dapat memiliki dampak negatif terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan mereka. Kondisi ini dapat menyebabkan berbagai masalah kesehatan, seperti kelemahan sistem kekebalan tubuh, risiko infeksi yang lebih tinggi, dan masalah perkembangan fisik dan kognitif. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui intervensi yang dilakukan untuk mengurangi kasus underweight di wilayah kerja UPT Puskemas Dalu Sepuluh dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif. hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kenaikan dan penurunan angka kasus balita yang menderita gizi kurang (underweight) di setiap bulannya, yang mana hal itu menunjukkan bahwa ada perubahan kasus dari intervensi yang sudah dilakukan.

Abstract

Nurses are the largest human resource in health services in hospitals, where nurses work 24 hours a day in rotation and continuously to provide comprehensive and professional nursing care and are ready to help patients at any time. In an effort to improve the quality of health services, nurses are required to provide the best service in the form of caring behavior or caring attitude towards others. Caring behavior given by nurses to clients can increase patient satisfaction, especially by incorporating Islamic values where Islamic values are rahmatan lil alamin or compassion for all beings regardless of race, ethnicity, nation, language and religion. RSU Yarsi Pontianak is an Islamic-based hospital in providing nursing care. In accordance with the hospital's vision "to become a hospital based on Islam with high-quality and international standard health services", Yarsi General Hospital prioritizes services that have Islamic values, especially in providing nursing care. The purpose of this community service is to increase nurses' knowledge of the application of Islamic caring at YARSI Pontianak General Hospital (RSU). Community service activities are carried out through several stages, namely the preparation, implementation and evaluation stages. The results of the initial measurement of nurses' knowledge about Islamic caring found that most nurses had sufficient knowledge, namely 55%. Whereas after being given training on Islamic caring, most of the nurses had good knowledge, namely 80%. Training is an effective and efficient activity to increase nurses' knowledge about Islamic caring. Based on the results of community service, there was an increase in nurses' knowledge after being given Islamic caring training.

Abstract

Medan City is a part of North Sumatra Province. The prevalence of undernutrition and malnutrition in Medan City in 2013 was 19.3%, consisting of 4.2% of malnutrition and 15.1% of undernourished. This prevalence rate is close to the national figure, which is 19.6%. Meanwhile, based on the 2015 MDG's target, the prevalence of malnutrition and under-five children is 15.5%, this prevalence rate is included in the high category. The methods used in this community service are counseling, demonstrations and measurement of nutritional status. The result of the service is that counseling is carried out 3 times. It was carried out once at the Puskesmas Rugemuk Pantai Labu District. In the cooking demonstration, the material provided is the use of abundant ingredients from Rugemuk Village, such as sea fish, shrimp, squid into various foods that have high nutritional value and are of sale value. The processed food is in the form of fish nuggets. From the results of the intervention and observations made, there are several children in Rugemuk Village whose nutritional status is lacking. The conclusion in this service is that the intervention activities carried out to solve the problem are counseling to the community as well as data collection and measurement of height and weight in children. All activities went well and smoothly, counseling to the community as well as data collection and measurement of height and weight for children.

Abstract

Abstract  Acute respiratory infections are a major cause of infectious disease morbidity and mortality worldwide. According to the World Health Organization, about 4 million people died from acute respiratory infections, 98% of which were caused by lower respiratory tract infections. Infant, child and elderly mortality rates are very high, especially in low- and middle-income countries. efforts to control ARI through health promotion education activities or counseling. Education is carried out with the aim of increasing knowledge and even the community is expected to be able to improve health status. The method in this service activity uses educational methods or counseling based on lecture discussions about ARI. The targets in this activity are mothers who have babies and children. Health problem factors, namely the habit of burning garbage can cause air pollution that comes from burning smoke in the environment and smoking habits.

Abstract

Iron deficiency anemia can have an impact on young women, such as getting tired quickly, reducing the body's resistance to infectious diseases, reducing body fitness, reducing concentration and learning achievement, reducing the immune system and disrupting physical growth. Iron deficiency anemia during adolescent girls in turn leads adolescent girls to anemia in later pregnancy.The aim of this activity is to increase knowledge about anemia so that teenage girls can prevent anemiaCommunity service implemented at SMA Negeri 1 Batang Kuis. Activities that have been implemented: Obtain permission from headmaster, measuring nutritional status, checking blood hemoglobin levels, carrying out counseling using LCD tools and booklets. Participants were 50 students from SMA N 1 Batang KuisThe implementation results showed that 22% of the female students' nutritional status was very thin and underweight, 20% of the female students' nutritional status was overweight and 22% of the female students were anemic. There was an increase in female students' knowledge about anemia by 3.52 points from 9.2 points before counseling to 12.72 points after counseling. Likewise, attitudes increased by 4.26 points from 50.78 points to 55.0 points. The resulting output: Published in the Community Service journal

Abstract

Anemia is a public health problem in Indonesia that can be experienced by all age groups, from toddlers to the elderly. One of them is young women, where these young women are prone to anemia due to a lot of blood loss during menstruation, young women who are entering puberty experience rapid growth so that the need for iron also increases and there is an incorrect diet pattern in rhymes. Adolescent girls who suffer from anemia are also at risk of developing anemia during pregnancy. This will have a negative impact on the growth and development of the fetus in the womb and has the potential to cause complications during pregnancy and childbirth. The purpose of this activity is to screen for iron deficiency anemia in young women as a preventive measure for anemia in adolescents which can cause long-term adverse effects on adolescents.Screening for iron deficiency anemia in this activity was carried out through laboratory examination of panel iron levels, especially TIBC and Serum Iron examinations in young girls. The target for this activity is young women at Baitul Hikmah Tempurejo Vocational School. Screening begins with anamnesis and physical examination. If there are indications that lead to anemia, an iron panel examination (TIBC and serum iron) will be performed. The results obtained will be analyzed and consulted with the local regional health officer to get the right treatment

Abstract

Background: The increase in the prevalence of non-communicable diseases has become a serious threat, especially in the development of public health. Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) in Indonesia are predicted to experience a significant increase in 2030. Its chronic nature and attacking productive age, causes NCDs to not only be a health problem, but also affect the resilience of the national economy if not controlled properly, correctly and continuously. The purpose of this community service is to increase public knowledge and awareness in preventing and controlling non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, stroke, heart disease and diabetes mellitus. Method: This activity is in the form of providing counseling in the Rawa Buntu Village Hall regarding non-communicable diseases & their prevention, PTM Nutrition, BMI counting (body mass index) exercises, and blood pressure checks to determine hypertension status and early detection of participants. Results: The results of blood pressure measurements showed that 25% had hypertension. While the BMI category is 41% with obesity BMI status and 22% with overweight BMI status. The mean posttest and pretest scores showed an increase in students' understanding of the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases after being given counseling or material explanations. Conclusion: One of the effective and efficient PTM controls is empowering and increasing community participation. Therefore, one way to reduce the prevalence of NCDs is to make individuals and families aware of reducing the prevalence rate, there is a need for further education at least at the family level regarding non-communicable diseases.
