Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a student response and the effect of the application of online learning in improving English learning outcomes on Recount text material in class X MIPA 8 SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted online via Zoom and Google Classroom. The subjects in the study were students of class X MIPA 8 at SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, and the object of this study was to understand the recount text material and student responses to online learning. This study uses two cycles to improve the ability to analyze recount text through four stages of the activity process which includes: planning, action, observation, evaluation and reflection. Data collection techniques in this study are using test and observation methods. The results showed (1) the application of online learning can improve students' understanding of recount text material. (2) there is a student response to the application of online learning to improve students' understanding of recount text material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not the Inquiri Based Learning model was implemented in solving problems, training student activities and increasing student learning outcomes significantly. This research is a classroom action research that uses direct observation of the course of learning in class. The research was carried out at SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar. The subjects of this study were students of class XII IPA 7 at SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar in the 2019/2020 academic year which consisted of 36 students. The research focus is on work procedures in action research. The activity cycle consists of two cycles, each of which includes planning, action, observation and reflection. Learning outcomes and teacher performance in doing can be measured using tests at the end of each cycle. The results of action research show (1) The implementation of the Inquiri Based Learning learning model can increase student learning activities, (2) The implementation of the Inquiri Based Learning (IBL) learning model can improve student learning outcomes, (3) There is a significant increase in learning outcomes between pretest and the posttest value after the implementation of the Inquiri Based Learning learning model is applied to the elemental chemistry material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in critical thinking skills between students of class XI with cooperative learning methods Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) and conventional learning methods in SMA X. This research is a quantitative study, with a comparative method. The sample of this study amounted to 207 people obtained using cluster sampling technique. There are two groups of students, namely students with cooperative learning methods type student teams achievement divisions (STAD) and students with conventional learning methods). Critical thinking skills are measured using the Test of Everyday Reasoning (TER). The results of this study found that there were significant differences in critical thinking skills between students with cooperative learning methods Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) types and students with conventional learning methods in SMA.

Abstract

The presence of technology is changing the way people to get information and communication. In the field of counseling, information technology offers some of the latest innovations to reach out, facilitate and communicate with individuals who need help from all over the world. This qualitative research collected data through literature study by analyzing 4 research results from various academics in various countries and conducting interviews with 10 youth aged 20-24 years, and 3 counselors. The results of this qualitative study indicate that online counseling makes it easy for youth in expressing the problem in their life. In addition, online counseling has great potential in offering therapy and can be done anywhere. Therefore, clients can minimize transportation costs for face-to-face counseling. Although the results of the analysis of previous studies indicate that online counseling has a weakness that is lack of knowledge and special abilities possessed by counselors in communicating through chat and lack of skills in writing texts to avoid misunderstandings with online counseling users. In the other side, previous research shows solutions related to the use of online counseling. The counselor must face the development of technology and use it as a facility to communicate with young people.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the syntactic errors made by the third semester students of the Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia IKIP Saraswati when practicing speaking. This study used a descriptive-qualitative research design. The subject of this research is a third semester student of the Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia IKIP Saraswati academic year 2020/2021 while the object is a syntactic error made by students when practicing speaking in the Presenter course. Data collection was carried out by recording and observation methods. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive-qualitative data analysis procedures which included three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there were several kinds of errors made by students during speaking practice, the form of syntactic errors was the influence of 7 regional languages ​​(15.22%), 1 use of inappropriate prepositions (2.17%), 4 word composition errors (8.70%), 5 excessive use of elements (10.87%), 17 non-subject sentences (36.95%), 5 non-predicated sentences (10 , 87%), sentences that are not subject and not predicated are 2 (4.35%), sentences that are not logical are 3 (6.52%), and excessive use of conjunctions is 2 (4.35%). Errors in the syntactic field that are made by students are dominated by errors due to sentences that are not subject to.

Abstract

Biology teachers are required to have high competence to make students able to face the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The result of the teacher competence test for pedagogical and professional competence is an average of 45.82. This result is still below the national minimum competency standard. Thus, a broad and in-depth study is needed to improve teacher’s pedagogical and professional competence. Several research results indicate that to improve pedagogical and professional competence in biology learning, experimental learning strategies can be used. Experiments can (1) provide opportunities for teachers and students to develop logical thinking skills and abilities; (2) teachers and students are active in solving problems, thinking critically in analyzing existing problems and facts; (3) find concepts and principles, so that more meaningful learning activities are created with a conducive learning atmosphere.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in activity, learning achievement, and student responses of class XI MIPA 8 to the application of problem-based learning models in mathematics learning. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted online via Zoom and Google Classroom. The research subjects were all students of class XI MIPA 8 at SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar in the academic year 2020/2021 even semester, totaling 40 people. This study uses two cycles to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes through four stages of the activity process which includes: planning, action, observation, evaluation and reflection. Data collection techniques in this study are using test and observation methods. The results showed (1) The application of the problem based learning model can increase students' mathematics learning activities. (2) The application of the problem based learning model can improve students' mathematics learning achievement. (3) There is a very positive response from class XI MIPA 8 students to the application of the problem based learning model in mathematics learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the application of STEM-based learning models can improve learning outcomes and how students respond to dynamic equilibrium material. This research is a classroom action research designed through action research in classroom learning activities. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar in October 2019 in the odd semester. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar, and the object of this study was the application of STEM-based learning models and student responses to chemistry learning outcomes. In this study, four stages of the activity process were used which included (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) evaluation and reflection. Data collection techniques using test and observation methods. Data collection in cycle I and cycle II was carried out by using the technique of assessing student test results as numerical data, while data collection used observational techniques for qualitative data. The research results obtained from the average value of the comparison of pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II there is an increase. So the application of STEM-based learning models can improve student learning outcomes, and there is student response in the application of STEM-based learning models to improve student learning outcomes on equilibrium material in class XI MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar for the 2019/2020 academic year.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a student response or the effect of the application of the problem-based instruction learning model in improving the physics learning achievement of class X RPL 1 students of SMK Negeri 1 Negara in the 2020/2021 school year. This type of research is classroom action research with distance learning using the Google Classroom application. The subjects of this study were students of class X RPL 1 SMK Negeri 1 Negara with a total of 36 students. The object of research on students' abilities in Dynamic Electricity. This research was conducted in class X RPL 1 SMK Negeri 1 Negara in the even semester of the 2020/2021 school year. This research uses test and observation methods. This research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisted of four stages, namely: planning the action, implementing the action, observing / evaluating, and reflecting. The results showed (1) there was an effect of the application of the Problem Based Instruction learning model, this was evident from the increase in the average value. -The average of students from cycle I to cycle II was 8.47% (2) Student response to physics lessons on the application of the Problem Based Instruction learning model in improving student achievement in class X RPL 1 SMK Negeri 1 Negara in the 2020/2021 school year is good. There is an increase in the average value of 13.95%.

Abstract

The low and the result of chemistry subject of grade eleven of science 4 where the average for it only 60. The problem of this research is "does inquiry teaching model Can improve to all student of grade eleven science 4 on first semester year 2019/2020 at Badung regency. is it possible to apply this inquiry teaching model can improve the motivation of the student result of chemistry subject of grade eleven science 4 on first semester year 2019/2020. The result of the research shows that applying inquiry teaching model can improve the student activity when learning chemistry subject of grade eleven science 4 on first semester of SMA Negeri 2 Mengwi year 2019/2020 at Badung regency that have known by the positive response of the student on first cycle can be reach 38,59 and increase on second cycle 40,12. Applying this inquiry teaching model can improve the activities of the student and the result of chemistry subject of grade eleven of science 4 of SMA Negeri 2 Mengwi year 2019/2020 at Badung regency, this is the best way to improve student activities on teaching learning process by using inquiry model.
