Abstract

This study aims to analyze the speech acts of restaurant waiters during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a follow-up to illocutionary speech acts that are used by waiters in their activities to serve food and drinks is considered very important to do. The theory used was Searle's illocutionary speech act theory. The data were collected using observation, interview, and note-taking methods and then described qualitatively. The results of this study indicated that there were 4 categories of illocutionary speech acts, namely assertive (reporting, reporting); directive (ordering, requesting, asking, examining, and asking permission); commissive (expectation); and expressive (thanks, greetings and congratulations). Meanwhile, the new speech uttered by the waiter during the pandemic was included in the directive speech act.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of relationship marketing on the loyalty of members of the Coblong Pamor Savings and Loans Cooperative. Testing the research hypothesis using the SPSS method with a sample of 70 people who live in Denpasar. Determination of the sample using probability sampling method with the technique of proportionate stratified random sampling, where this technique is used if the population has members or elements that are not homogeneous and proportionally stratified, with the criteria of respondents who have made transactions during the last 3 years. The findings in this study indicate that member trust, member communication and member commitment have a positive and significant effect on member loyalty partially or simultaneously. This research has the implication that it is important for management to improve relational relationships through trust, communication and commitment so that members become loyal to the Coblong Pamor Cooperative.

Abstract

Online learning is a system of learning activities that are carried out without going through face-to-face directly but through the internet network. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying the open-ended learning model with online learning in improving student learning outcomes and responses. This type of research is classroom action research. Action research is designed using two cycles, where each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The subjects of this study were students of the sixth semester of Mathematics Education, Universitas PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia, Academic Year 2020/2021. The object of research is student learning outcomes in Algebra subjects after being given learning using an open ended learning model with online learning. The results showed that the first cycle obtained an average grade of 77.96; 77.96% absorption, 66.67% classical completeness, and the second cycle obtained an average grade of 84.26, 84.26% absorption and 96.30% classical completeness. Conclusions from the results of action research (1) The application of the open-ended learning model with online learning can improve student learning outcomes, (2) There is a positive response from the sixth semester students of Mathematics Education at PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia University for the 2020/2021 Academic Year to the open-ended learning model with online learning at Linear Algebra course.

Abstract

Online learning is learning that is done online using learning applications and social networks. Kepewaraan or emcee is a person in charge of leading and managing the course of an event. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning outcomes and student responses to the application of the discovery learning model in the civil service subject with online learning. This type of research is classroom action research which is implemented in an online form. The research subjects were students of the sixth semester of Indonesian and regional education at the University of PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia for the academic year 2020/2021. The object of research is the learning outcomes of the Civics subject with the application of discovery learning learning models with online learning. This study used two cycles, and each cycle went through four stages of the activity process (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) evaluation and reflection. The data collection technique in this research is using the test and observation method. The results of the research show (1) The application of discovery learning learning models can improve the learning outcomes of civility subjects with online learning. (2) There is a positive response of students with online learning to the application of the discovery learning model.

Abstract

HOTS learning is learning in the cognitive domain of analyzing, evaluating, and creating. This study aims to determine the development steps and quality of digital mathematics teaching materials for class X SMA HOTS oriented on the material of a three-variable linear equation system. This research and development procedure uses an adaptation of the Plomp model, with the following steps: initial investigation, design, realization/construction, and test, evaluation and revision. Sources of research data are validators and high school mathematics teachers. Research data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The results of the initial validity test were declared "valid", with a material validity value of 0.72, language validity 0.92, and media validity 0.87. The results of the final stage of the validity test were declared "valid", with a validity value of 0.95. In the quality test, HOTS-oriented digital teaching materials were declared to have "good quality", with the result that all indicators on aspects of content, presentation, language, and media obtained an average score in the range of 9-10 on the Thurstone scale, the value of the interquartile range which is small below 2 and the mode value is close to 11 on the Thurstone scale.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether interactive multimedia can improve the student's dancing ability of Guna Widya Dharma Raksaka dance, and student responses to the dance extracurricular activities for students at SMA Negeri 1 Blahbatuh, Gianyar, for the academic year of 2020/2021. This study used classroom action research with one cycle and has four stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The setting of this research was consisting of two, which were the setting of place and time. The setting of place of this research was at SMA Negeri 1 Blahbatuh, which located at Jalan Astina Jaya Blahbatuh, Gianyar. The setting of time of this research was in the even (second) semester of the academic year of 2020/2021. In order to obtaining the data, the researcher used the test and observation method. The test method that is used is an action test. Meanwhile, the method of processing the data that is used in this research was the method in the form of descriptive statistics. The results of this research showed that the average score of the students was 64.62% in the initial observation. Meanwhile, it was increased after using interactive multimedia in the first cycle, with an average value of 70.62. Thus, showed that 40 students who took part in the dance extracurriculars at SMA Negeri 1 Blahbatuh, Gianyar in the academic year of 2020/2021 can be declared as well completed. It can be concluded that the use of interactive multimedia can increase the student responses in order to improve the dancing skills of Widya Dharma Raksaka dance, of the dance extracurricular activities for the students at SMA Negeri 1 Blahbatuh, Gianyar, for the academic year of 2020/2021. As shown in the pre-cycle, the average was 63.12 and in the first cycle the average student response was increased into 71.12. It means that the use of the interactive multimedia to increase student response can be well accepted in order to improve the dancing skills for Widya Dharma Raksaka dance, of the dance extracurricular activities of the students at SMA Negeri 1 Blahbatuh, Gianyar, for the academic year of 2020/2021.

Abstract

STEM is an appropriate learning with the demands of the 21st century. This study aims to determine the steps for the development and quality of digital mathematics teaching materials for class X SMA based STEM on trigonometry material. The procedure uses the research and development adaptation Plomp development model that includes four stages, namely a preliminary investigation, design, realization/construction, and testing, evaluation and revision. Sources of data in this study are validators, mathematics teachers and students of SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar. The data collection technique used a validation questionnaire for validation tests, practicality questionnaires for practicality tests and tests for testing the effectiveness of teaching materials. The results of the initial validity test were declared "valid", with the value of validity in the content aspect of 0.72, validity of the presentation aspect of 0.90, language validity 0.92, and media validity 0.93. The results of the second stage the validity test were declared "valid", with a validity value 0.91. The test results on the practicality obtained was 75.8 students and teachers 75.3 categorized as "practical", the results obtained in the evaluation of students had an average of 82.63, it can be interpreted that mathematics teaching materials based STEM “effective” for use in learning

Abstract

This paper aims at describing the markers and its appearance in various types of construction on the articles structure in the Bali Post Newspaper and its role in sentence structure. The method used in this paper is observation method. In data collection, the observation method is applied with note-taking techniques and classifying the types of markers based on the sentence structure in some articles of Bali Post Newspaper. The data analysis method used is the distributional method (Sudaryantto, 1988) with the direct element sharing technique, as well as the permutation and deletion techniques as advanced techniques. Furthermore, this paper uses the conceptual basis proposed by Quirk et al. (1985), Hoed (1978), Fokker (1980), Alwi et al. (1998), and Kaswanti Purwo (1984). The results of this study indicate that the clause structure in the news or articles in the Bali Post Newsaper is in the form of an synthetic structure which is realized in participial construction, block language, and clause that. In the type of the block language in the title of the newspaper / news, the presence of a conjunction marker is semantically mandatory. The clause structure that is a loose type and a strict type in the relationship between the predicate and the clause that follows it.

Abstract

Online learning is learning that is done online, using learning applications and social networks. Open-ended problems are learning that begins with giving problems openly with various solutions and solutions. The purpose of this study was to determine the responses and results of students' mathematics learning through the application of an open ended problem learning model with online learning using the zoom application and google classroom. This type of research is classroom action research which consists of 4 stages, namely: planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting which is carried out in 2 cycles. The research subjects were students of class XI MIPA 5 SMA Negeri 2 Denpasar in the academic year 2020/2021 as many as 46 students. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded (1) the application of the open-ended problem learning model with online learning can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes, (2) there is a positive response from class XI IPA 5 students at SMA Negeri 2 Denpasar towards the application of the open-ended problem learning model with online learning in mathematics lessons on matrix material

Abstract

The stages of human development have their respective complex problems. A person's maturity develops over time and becomes a necessity for individuals to pass the transition process. This often leads to crises and problems within the individual. Yudrik Yahja (2011) in his book entitled Psikologi Perkembangan said that adulthood is the longest period after childhood and adolescence; this period is the period when a person must let go of his/her dependence on parents and start learning to be independent because he/ she already has a new task and role. Developmental tasks in early adulthood must be optimized properly because if it is not, it will be a boomerang for the individual in the future. Quarterlife crisis is a phenomenon that usually occurs in individuals between the ages of 20-30 years; this period is known as emerging adulthood. At this stage of development, individuals experience many changes and demands from their environment as a sign of the transition period from adolescence to early adulthood (emerging adulthood). The discrepancy between the ideal self and the real situation of the individual results in quarterlife crisis. In this condition the individual will feel worries, doubts, does not have a strong motivation, even fear of how the future will be. This study aims at determining the quarterlife crisis in students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia. This study is descriptive qualitative research with non-random method. The subjects in this study were the students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia aged about 20-30 years old.
