Abstract

The discovery learning model based on think pair share is a learning model that provides space for students to be active in the learning process. This study aims to determine the application of think pair share-based discovery learning models in increasing student activity. This type of research is classroom action research with the Kemmis & McTaggart research design. The location of this research was SMAN 1 Kuta Utara for class XII Mipa 4 students with a total of 38 students as research subjects. The data analysis technique was carried out in a quantitative descriptive manner. The results of the data analysis show that the application of the think pair share-based discovery learning model can increase the activity of students with completeness in cycle I of 68.4% and increase in cycle II with completeness of 84.2%. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the application of the think pair share-based discovery learning model can increase the activity of students.

Abstract

Students still experience difficulties in learning mathematics at school, so teachers need to innovate in using learning models to increase students' learning motivation. This research aims to determine the response and mathematics learning outcomes of class XII MIPA 8 students at SMAN 7 Denpasar after implementing the guided inquiry teaching method using mathematics learning media in statistics. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK). Action research is designed using two cycles and each cycle consists of four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects were students of class The results of the research show (1) There is a positive response from students to the application of the guided inquiry teaching method by utilizing learning media in mathematics subjects in statistics material, (2) The guided inquiry teaching learning method by utilizing learning media can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class XII MIPA 8 students SMAN 7 Denpasar 2021/2022 academic year. This can be seen from the learning results in the pre-cycle of 68.0, the first cycle was 74.0 and in the second cycle it was 78.125. So the conclusion is that applying the guided inquiry teaching method by utilizing learning media can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class XII MIPA 8 students at SMAN 7 Denpasar for the 2021/2022 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to test the impact Human Relations, Social Work Environment AndleadershipOn Employee Performance at Sanjiwani Hospital in Gianyar Regency with the main theory of Organizational Behavior and Human Resources. The qualitative research method used a questionnaire with 58 respondents and four hypotheses which were processed using SPSS version 24. The results of the research stated 1. Leadership (X1) has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Employees at the Sanjiwani Gianyar Hospital, 2. Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of training, work motivation and service quality on people's interest in paying motorized vehicle taxes in Nusa Penida Klungkung Bali after the pandemic. Using human resource theory and applied theory of human resource competence, motivation and entrepreneurship. Qualitative research methods using a questionnaire with 75 samples and four hypotheses assisted by data processing using SPSS version 24. The results of the study obtained 1. Work motivation has a positive and not insignificant effect on people's interest in paying taxes. 2. Quality of service has no significant effect on people's interest in paying taxes, 3 Training variables mediate work motivation and service quality on people's interest in paying taxes, 4. Path analysis shows that there is a direct influence between the variables Work Motivation, Service Quality and Training on Community Interests Paying taxes produces a low direct effect on people's interest in paying taxes and an indirect effect between the Effect of Work Motivation through Training on people's interest in paying moderate or moderate taxes. The implications of the influence of Work Motivation, Quality of Service and Training on Public Interests to Pay Taxes are lower and are more influenced by other factors

Abstract

NHT cooperative learning focused on cooperation in groups, student centered learning and with the numbering model will make the students more active in classroom discussions. This classroom action research aims to find out whether the application of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model can improve mathematics learning outcomes and to describe the implementation of learning using the NHT. The subjects in this research were class X E6 students at SMA Negeri 6 Denpasar for the 2023/2024 academic year. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles which included initial reflection, action planning, action implementation, observation/data collection, and reflection. Data collection was carried out through observation and written assessments. The instruments used were observation sheets and description questions. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. Based on the results of observations, the average percentage of student achievement of learning objectives increased from cycle I of 69.05% to 78.57% in cycle II. Based on these results, it is concluded that the application of the NHT type cooperative learning model can improve mathematics learning outcomes in Trigonometry material for class X E6 students at SMA Negeri 6 Denpasar for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

Abstrak Problem solving is the process of identifying, analyzing, and resolving a problem through systematic and creative steps to achieve the desired goal or solution. High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions are educational assessments that test higher-order thinking abilities. The purpose of this research is to determine the response and whether the implementation of the problem-solving learning model can enhance students' ability to answer HOTS questions on SPLTV material. The research subjects are students of class XF at SMA Negeri 2 Abiansemal for the academic year 2023/2024. The study focuses on understanding SPLTV material with an orientation towards HOTS questions and students' responses to the problem-solving learning model. This research employs a classroom action research design, consisting of two cycles with four stages of activity processes, including (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) evaluation and reflection. Data collection involves assessing student test results as quantitative data and using observation techniques for qualitative data. The research findings indicate that (1) the implementation of the problem-solving learning model can improve students' ability to answer HOTS questions on SPLTV material, and (2) there is a positive response from students towards the implementation of the problem-solving learning model to enhance their ability to answer HOTS questions on SPLTV material

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts in mathematics learning with Pythagorean theorem material using the peer teaching method. This type of research is classroom action research with the research subjects being class VIII B students of SMP Negeri 3 Tabanan. This research was carried out in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action/implementation, observation and reflection stages. Data collection was carried out through tests of understanding mathematical concepts in the form of essays which were then analyzed quantitatively descriptively to determine the classification of learning activities in each cycle. The indicator of success in this research is the percentage of students' mathematical concept understanding test results in the high category. Based on research, it is known that there was an increase in students' understanding of mathematical concepts based on the results of implementation in cycle I, namely 68% which was in the sufficient category, then increased in cycle II to 80% which was in the high category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that implementing learning using the peer teaching method can improve class students' understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Teachers employ various methods for classroom instruction, but achieving optimal results remains challenging. Recognizing the need for innovation, this study focuses on implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to enhance mathematical learning outcomes, particularly in Trigonometry for class X.E1 at SMA Negeri 6 Denpasar during the 2023/2024 academic year. The two-cycle class action research reveals improved outcomes, demonstrating that the application of the PBL model leads to enhanced results and identifies sequential steps for implementation. The research, utilizing a class action methodology, involves students from class X.E1 during the academic year 2023/2024. The study emphasizes Trigonometry outcomes, employing the PBL model in two cycles, including initial reflection, action planning, implementation, observation/data collection, and reflection. Data, collected through observation and written tests using instruments such as observation sheets and descriptive questions, undergoes descriptive analysis. The findings underscore the efficacy of the PBL model in improving mathematics learning outcomes, offering insights into its application for Trigonometry in the specific context of class X.E1 at SMA Negeri 6 Denpasar during the first semester

Abstract

Poetry is a form of literary work that has unique characteristics because it is written in a dense and beautiful language, and in poetry there are often connotative and figurative words. This research discusses the contemporary poetry of Hoshi by Shiraishi Kazuko using the semiotic approach of the Ferdinand de Saussure. The data collection methods used in this research were observation and literature study methods. This poem tells the story of a writer who tries to convey a hidden feeling that he wants to express to someone. The results of the analysis on this poem shows the meaning of the signs contained in this poem describing such as: (1) how the writer feels trying to find the truth in himself, (2) is in a state of having a lot of thoughts and considerations, (3) feelings that have been buried for a long time, causing a feeling of discomfort and uncertainty (4) the writer who comprehend his feelings and his thoughts in silence, (5) the longing and hope of the character makes him want to close his eyes and fall asleep into fantasies.

Abstract

Reviews are made in written form and are addressed to readers who review the weaknesses and strengths of a work. However, there are still students at school who cannot review short stories well. The purpose of this research is to determine students' difficulties in constructing short story reviews and to determine the implementation of teacher strategies in improving students' skills. The research subjects were class XI students at SMK Negeri 5 Denpasar for the 2023/2024 academic year. The data collection method in this research uses tests and observation. The data obtained was analyzed through quantitative descriptive. Data analysis is carried out on each data collected, both quantitative data and qualitative data. The research results showed that students' difficulties in aspects (1) suitability of the content of short story reviews were identified as slightly difficult with an average score of 63.46; (2) the grammar of short story reviews identified little difficulty with an average score of 65.76; (3) the short story reviewer's diction sentence structure was identified as slightly difficult with an average score of 65; (4) the coherent sentence structure of short story reviews identified little difficulty with an average score of 63.07; and (5) the formation of short story review paragraphs identified little difficulty with an average score of 65.76. The solution to overcome this teacher strategy is to improve classroom management by using pop up media.
