Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes by applying the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) cooperative learning model for students of class XI IPA 7 of SMA N 2 Denpasar in the academic year 2017/2018. This type of research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) designed with two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPA 7 of SMA N 8 Denpasar in the 2018/2019 academic year, totaling 38 students, consisting of 17 male students and 21 female students. The object of this research is the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model and learning outcomes. Data collection methods used in this study are the test method, observation method, and documentation method. The results of the study in the first cycle, the number of students who completed in the first cycle was 46.15% and 53.85% incomplete, with an average score of student learning outcomes 74.80 and the absorption of students 74.80%. An increase in the average learning outcomes of students by 3.92 in cycle I. In cycle II, the number of students who completed in cycle II and the absorption of students 81.92%. The increase in the average learning outcomes of students by 7.12 ie from 74.80 in the first cycle to 81.92 in the second cycle. The average percentage of students' activities in class XI IPA 7 of SMA N 2 Denpasar experienced an increase of 11.88% ie from 51.12% in the first cycle which was quite active to 63% in the second cycle.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether the focus group discussion method can improve the ability of PKN, Sociology, Economics and Natural Sciences teachers in Kerambitan 1 High School, Kerambitan District in preparing the Syllabus and Characterized Learning Implementation Plan (RPP). This type of research is a school action research (PTS) which consists of 2 (two) cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: action planning, action implementation, observation and data collection, and reflection. The subjects of the study were PKN, Sociology, Economics and Natural Sciences teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Kerambitan, totaling 16 people consisting of 7 IPS group teachers and 9 science teachers. Data about the ability of MIPA teachers to compile syllabi and lesson plans was collected by the document study method. Then the data were analyzed descriptively. The results obtained from this study stated that: 1) the initial acquisition value of the syllabus was 62.56 with less categories at the beginning of Cycle I, increasing to 64.13 with enough categories at the end of Cycle I and being 71.63 with enough categories at the end of the Cycle II. 2) The initial ability to compile the RPP obtained a value of 61.81 with a less category, to 70.00 with enough categories at the end of Cycle 1 and to 73.00 with enough categories at the end of cycle II. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the focus group discussion method can improve the ability of MIPA teachers in Kerambitan 1 High School in preparing the Character Syllabus and Learning Implementation Plan (RPP).

Abstract

The purpose of the research is (1) to increase students learning motivation in the process of teaching by using power point. (2) to increase Fisika learning achievement of the class X MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kerambitan in the teaching learning process using power point media. Based on the result of the research in USA, teaching learning process by using the help of media can increase efficiency 47% and with the help of ICT can increase 93%. The subject of the researh is the students of X MIPA 2 class of SMA Negeri 1 Kerambitan with 39 students consists of 16 boys and 23 girls with the object of research is students motivation during the process of teaching learning using power point media. Motivation is measured by indicating student activity in following teaching learning process in the class room or outside class room. Technique of collecting data using questionaire, sheet observation, the result of daily test document. To process the data by using descriptive analysis. The result of the research indicates that active participation of the students learning in the class from earlier the first cycle to the second cycle can increase the students activity learning. Most of the students do the exercises deligently, the task that given from the teacher or from their own choice. The encreasing of the average procentace of the students in doing exercises is 20,49%, the eagerness of asking to the teacher or their friends increases 30,80% and the aegerness to give response to the problem proposed by their friends or the teacher is increasing 10,69 %. The average achievement of students daily test is increasing 12,70 %, the average deviation from creterian minimal learning target (KKM) is increasing 12.70 %, learning acheivement (daya serap) is increasing 12.70%, learning target (daya ketuntasan) is increasing 28,21 %, the bight score is increasing 3 and the lowest score is increasing 27.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research applied in counseling guidance services. The purpose of the study is to describe the discipline of students after being given group counseling services. 24 research subjects were students of the Counseling Guidance Study Program of IKIP PGRI Bali in the odd semester of 2018/2019. Student discipline data were collected by observation techniques, questionnaires and discipline scales. Actions in the form of counseling services with contingency contract techniques accompanied by rewards and punishments are given to students who have less disciplined attitudes and behaviors. The study design followed the PTK pattern that began with planning, implementing actions, observing / collecting data / analyzing data and reflecting. The results of the research through the stages of cycle I and cycle II can be described that the implementation of the counseling process of student discipline attitudes increased in cycle I increased by 20% and cycle II there was an increase of 30%. The average percentage of scores of students' discipline attitudes after the second counseling is 90%. This means that there is still a 10% tendency for disciplinary violations committed by students. In this regard disciplinary enforcement in the campus environment should be carried out in a compact and there are synergies from various components of the academic community. Disciplinary behavior of students in the first cycle has changed 10% and in the second cycle increased by 23% or an average of 83% of the discipline behavior of students. If described the average attainment of students' attitudes and disciplinary behavior after being given group counseling services reaches 91%. It can be suggested that the character of student discipline can be formed through the growth of awareness from within through what is heard, seen, because it is important to be considered by all academicians to be able to grow the character of discipline in the campus.

Abstract

This work aims to increase the creativity in the dance process, by presenting new ideas that are packaged into a performance art presentation and giving invitations to the community, to still maintain and preserve ancestral cultural heritage. The form of this work is the result of a historical, philosophical, and choreographic approach using observation and interview methods, by presenting creative dance performances. So that in the performance using the flow of Balinese dance performances in general, namely: Pengawit, Papeson, Pengawak, and Pengecet. This work is an implementation of the cultural activities of the Tenganan Pegringsingan community, namely Mageret Pandan, which is a ritual part of the Usaba Sambah ceremonial tradition which is poured into the choreography of a new dance creation. Mageret Pandan dance works are dance works that are rooted in historical, philosophical, and choreographic understanding and are then applied in the form of performance art.

Abstract

Concept Map Strategy Can Improve Learning Achievement. This type of research uses a classroom action research approach. The subjects of this study were IPS 1 X grade students of Dwijendra Bualu High School in academic year of 2018/2019 which is consisted of 32 students. The object of research is the application of the Concept Map strategy and learning achievement. Data collection techniques are observation method, test method, and documentation method. The results showed the achievement of KKM students of class X IPS 1 SMA Dwijendra Bualu at initial reflection was 21.875%, Cycle I was 43.75% and cycle II was 100%. The average percentage of student activity in cycle I was 38.23% to 50.50%. Absorption of initial reflection is 52%, cycle I is 62% and cycle II is 77%. The concept map strategy can also increase students' calcical completeness on the initial reflection of 21.875%, in the first cycle 43.75% and cycle II 100%. The Application of Concept Map Strategies can Improve Learning Achievement.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of students’ ability in analyzing the intrinsic elements of short story. It is influenced by several things; as the examplemonotonous learning models application such as discourseand rarely discussion.This phenomenon that was motivated this research about the application of cooperative scriptlearning model to enhance the ability in analyzing the intrinsic elements of Balinese modern short story text. The aims of this study were (1) to determine the effectiveness of the application of cooperative script learning model to enhance the ability in analyzing the intrinsic elements of Balinese modern short story texton students class XI AP 2 Vocational High School PGRI 4 Denpasar academic year 2018/2019, (2) to assess the response ofstudents class XI AP 2 Vocational High School PGRI 4 Denpasar academic year 2018/2019 could enhance the ability in analyzing the intrinsic elements of Balinese modern short story text . The theory used in this study, are: (1) literature, (2) literature appreciation, (3) cooperative learningmodel, (4) cooperative learning script, (5) definition of short story, (6) intrinsic elements of short story. Data collection methods used are testing and observationmethods. The results showed that there is an increase in ability to analyze the intrinsic elements of the short story, it can be evidenced from the average value of students in the first cycle is 74.46 increased in the second cycle to 88.44. In addition there is an increase in the student's response following the first cycle that lesson of 70.12 and arise to 85.76 in the second cycle.

Abstract

The purpose of this classroom action research is 1) increasing the students’ learning outcomes and 2) improving the students’ learning motivation by applying Problem Based Learning (PBL). This research was conducted on class X RPL 2 SMK Negeri 1 Negara on the even semester, year 2018/2019, with total number of students 36. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. The results showed that 1) the average student learning outcomes on the first cycle was 86,94, categorized as good, and the classical completeness was 100%, while on the second cycle, the average student learning outcomes was 85,07 , categorized as good, and classical ketuntasan was 100%, and 2) the average student learning motivation on the first cycle was 80,42, categorized as high. On the end of second cycle, the average student learning motivation was 84,94, categorized as high. The result showed that the PBL model was effective in improving Physics learning achievement and learning motivation of students of class X RPL 2 SMK Negeri 1 Negaraon the even semester, year 2018/2019.

Abstract

The article, entitled Analysis of the Language Style of Cosmetics Advertisements and Indonesian Language Drugs in Print Mass Media in Bali, aims to discuss the problem of how the assignment of each sentence in cosmetics advertisements and drugs in Indonesian on the print mass media specifically on commercial advertisements (commercial) , covering what kind of language style is used? In addition, it aims to contribute to the development, preservation and development of the Indonesian language. This paper uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was carried out using the literature review method. Methods and techniques for Presentation of Analysis Results, use formal and informal methods. Based on the analysis results found six kinds of language styles, namely (1) Climax, (2) Repetition, (3) Hyperbole, (4) Personification, (5) Epithet, and (6) Equation or Semile. This paper uses the theory of persuasive functions. The theory of the persuasive function of language is the theory used and it is possible to answer the problem in advertising as a discourse that cannot be separated from its main purpose, namely selling. The main function is predominantly utilized to support the main function of advertising, namely the persuasive function of language as already alluded to implicitly by some advertising researchers (see Hoed, 1992: 5; Leech, 1966: 26; Kasali, 1992: 9; Cook, 1992: 5; Asmah, 1984: 3). In this paper, two views are expressed regarding the theory of language functions, including Jakobson (1963) and Leech (1974). Jacobson's view (1963; in Welaga, 2000: 37-38) stated six kinds of language functions and included persuasive language functions with the term conative function as an expression of the wishes of the speaker directly or immediately carried out by the listener. In this case, language is used to indicate the involvement of the recipient's attention, and also to influence to do what the sender of the message suggests. The conative function is mainly characterized by the use of the pronouns "you" or "you all", and the use of command sentence forms. Noth (1990: 421) in his book Handbook of Semiotics also emphasizes that the six language functions that Jakobson conveys in the communication model are in advertisements. However, the conative function has more roles. Furthermore, it is said that the function of the phatic (phatic) as opening, maintaining relationships or contacts between speakers and listeners and the poetic function (phoetic) as encoding the message is also very prominent in advertising.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial interest is one's desire to start trying, create jobs according to their own will without coercion from others. Interest grows slowly in a person according to what is seen in his environment. The main goal of entrepreneurship is to create jobs for yourself, which will then have an impact on other job seekers. Growing interest requires a strong self-concept and a supportive family environment, especially in entrepreneurial activities. The tight competition in the world of work causes more unemployment in society. So to overcome this it is deemed necessary to foster interest in entrepreneurship. The study with the title "The influence of self-concept and family environment on New Student Entrepreneurial Interest" aims to find out: (1) To find out the significant effect of Self Concepts on New Student Entrepreneurial Interest in Economics Education Study Program FPIPS IKIP PGRI Bali, (2) To determine the effect Significant Family Environment on Entrepreneurial Interests of New Students in the FPIPS IKIP PGRI Bali Economic Education Study Program, and (3) To find out the significant influence of the Self-Concept and Family Environment together on New Student Entrepreneurial Interest in the Economic Study Program of FPIPS IKIP PGRI Bali. The data analysis technique used is two predictor linear regression, Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the results of the study are as follows: 1) Self-Concept (X1) has a positive and significant effect on Entrepreneurial Interest. This is evidenced by the value of t-count = 3.990> t-table = 2.00 and Sig. = 0,000 <0.05. 2) Family Environment (X2) has a positive and significant effect on Entrepreneurial Interest. This is evidenced by the value of t-count = 3.236> t-table = 2.00 and Sig. = 0.002 <0.05. 3) Self Concept (X1) and Family Environment (X2) simultaneously influence the Entrepreneurial Interest. This is evidenced by the calculated F-value = 34.561> F-table = 3.14 and Sig. = 0,000 <0.05. Based on the results of the analysis above, it is expected that lecturers and faculty leaders will motivate students more in entrepreneurial activities. This will have a positive impact on students. Students can study or start entrepreneurship as early as possible.
