Abstract

Numeracy is the ability that a person has in using his mathematical knowledge in explaining events, solving problems, or making decisions in everyday life. This study aims to analyze and describe students' mistakes in solving numeracy problems in terms of self-efficacy. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Purposive sampling technique was used in selecting 6 subjects as subjects. Data is collected through tests and questionnaires. Data analysis used is data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The triangulation technique used is the source triangulation technique. Based on the results of the study, seen from the aspect of self-efficacy, subjects with high self-efficacy made two types of mistakes, namely errors in understanding the problem and errors in processing skills. The subject of self-efficacy is making three types of errors, namely errors in understanding the problem, transformation errors and process skills errors. Subjects with low self-efficacy made four types of errors, namely errors in reading the problem, errors in understanding the problem, errors in process skills and errors in writing the final answer. Student self-efficacy and numeracy skills have a highly correlated and positive relationship which explains that the higher the student's self-efficacy, the higher the student's numeracy skills.

Abstract

This research is related to the role of the family environment in the cognitive development of children at Public Elementary School 160 in Palembang. The type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data collection methods used include interviews, observations, documentation, and discussions. Data analysis techniques involve data collection, data presentation, and data verification. Based on the analysis, it was found that the role of the family environment in supporting children's educational development has been well executed. The family plays the primary role as the first environment where children grow and learn, and it has a significant influence on shaping children's educational development. However, it is important to remember that a child's education in the family environment is not solely the responsibility of parents but involves the participation of all family members, including grandparents, siblings, and other family members. Cognitive development in children plays a crucial role as it forms the foundation for learning abilities, interaction with the environment, and academic and intellectual achievements. There are differences in cognitive development between boys and girls, where boys may be less active than girls, but this does not rule out the possibility that boys may have different ways of understanding the material

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of the learning model of learning starts with a question (LSQ) on students’ mathematics learning outcomes. The type of research is true ekxperimental with a quantitative approach. In this study, the design used was a post-test-only control group design, namely placing research subject into two classes which were divided into experimental class and control class, with sampling used a simple random sampling technique, which means that the sample was taken randomly from the population. The instruments used in this research were lesson plans, student worksheets, and test sheets. Then, the technique of collecting data used written test on the type of essay tests. The last data was documentation to obtain school data information. The data analysis techniques used are the swimmer test (normality test, homogeneity test) and hypothesis testing (t test and z test). The result of this research showed that the average score for students’ mathematics learning outcomes applied with the learning starts with a question (LSQ) learning model = 93,37, for classes applied with the conventional learning model = 72,00. Based on the result of the different tests (final test) using the z- test, the value z-count > z-tabel was obtained (12.00733 > 1.6450). So, it can be concluded that the learning starts with a question (LSQ) learning model is effective on the students’ mathematics learning outcomes

Abstract

The independent learning of independent campus concept is an innovative effort to provide students with greater flexibility and autonomy in planning and managing their education. This research aims to analyze how the curriculum is implemented in various universities and its impact on student learning experiences. This research method uses a mixed-methods approach. Data collection techniques in this research include surveys, interviews and document analysis at several universities that implement the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka curriculum. The research results show that the implementation of this curriculum varies between institutions, but generally creates opportunities for students to be more independent in choosing courses, determining learning paths, and combining learning experiences inside and outside the classroom. Observed positive impacts include increased student motivation, better mastery of the material, and more active involvement in the learning process. However, challenges such as the need to support students in planning their curriculum and assessing learning achievement remain a concern. Implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka curriculum in tertiary institutions requires continuous attention and adjustments to provide maximum benefits for students

Abstract

Evaluations are carried out by independent institutions periodically, comprehensively, transparently and systematically to assess the achievement of national education standards. The aim of this research is to describe the understanding of secondary school mathematics teachers in the Dampit sub-district regarding the National Assessment system and to describe the implementation of the National Assessment by secondary school mathematics teachers in the Dampit sub-district. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Dampit, SMP Diponegoro Dampit, SMAN 1 Dampit, and SMA Diponegoro Dampit, Malang district. Researchers collected data through questionnaires and interviews with mathematics teachers in the schools that were sampled. The results of this research for understanding the national assessment are quite good and its implementation is good, however it should be noted that there are still many obstacles in implementing the national assessment, such as parents of students protesting because their children were not included in the exam during the AN implementation. The government's socialization of the national assessment is not evenly distributed to teachers, so there are still many points in the national assessment that confuse teachers, especially mathematics teachers. Mathematics teachers carry out national assessments based on the principal's instructions, so the socialization from the government has not been felt directly by teachers
