<![CDATA[The representation of emotions in the study of communication, through gestures and facial expressions plays an important role because these elements can enrich the understanding of the characters and storyline. This study aims to identify and analyze the various types of gestures and facial expressions that appear in the film Miracle in Cell No. 7 and their influence in building emotional depth, enriching the audience's experience, and creating an emotional bond between the characters and the audience. The method used is qualitative analysis with a pragmatic approach, where data is collected through re-enactments of key scenes that show non-verbal communication. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner by classifying gestures and facial expressions based on the types of emotions represented such as joy, sadness, and anger. The results of the study showed that gestures and facial expressions significantly strengthened the verbal narrative and created a deeper emotional experience for the audience. These findings contribute to the study of non-verbal communication and Indonesian cinema and provide new insights into the understanding of emotional representation through film media]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to develop multimedia learning that can help students to understand the process of the human excretory system and can facilitate students to learn independently. This type of research is research and development (R&D) with a 4-D development model. The results of the study obtained that the average validity score by material experts was 4.85 with the category of "very valid"." The average validity score from validator 1 is 4.88, also categorized as "very valid," while the average score from validator 2 is 4.79, categorized as "very valid." Subsequently, a practicality test was conducted with 20 students, resulting in a score of 4.62, categorized as "very practical." Based on the practicality test results, it is concluded that the learning multimedia on the topic of the human excretory system for eighth-grade science subjects can be used in the teaching and learning process.]]>

<![CDATA[Writing skills are a difficult challenge for many EFL students who have little exposure to real language outside the classroom. Therefore, this research aims to explore the influence of using Canva in teaching narrative text writing to LTI Indo Global Mandiri Middle School students in Palembang and their perceptions of using Canva. The research design used was a quasi-experimental design. The sample for this research was classes VIII.A and VIII.B which consisted of 20 students from class VIII.A and 19 students from class VIII.B. The research design used in this research is a quasi-experimental design. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, namely selecting certain individuals who are believed to represent the population studied. Data collection was carried out by giving a pre-test and post-test, then analyzed using a t-test (paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test) with the help of the SPSS v.23 program. The results of this research show that the p-value from the paired sample t test of 0.000 is less than 0.05, which means there is a significant increase in students' writing skills after being taught using the Canva application. The results of this research show that the use of the Canva application as a learning media can improve the ability to write narrative texts for class VIII students at SMP LTI Indo Global Mandiri Palembang.]]>

<![CDATA[Students' reading comprehension in Indonesia was feeble because many students were reluctant to read. Therefore, this study used a reading-aloud strategy to improve reading comprehension in grade 7 students at SMP Negeri 19 Palembang. The research design used a quasi-experimental design, involving two groups of 7th-grade students: an experimental group receiving the reading-aloud intervention and a control group not. The samples in this study were classes VII9 and VII7, totaling 33 students per class. Pre-tests and post-tests were administered to assess reading comprehension levels. The results of this research were (1) there was an improvement in students' reading comprehension achievement after using the reading aloud strategy. (2) There was significant improvement in each aspect of reading comprehension. (3) There was a contribution of each aspect to reading comprehension achievement. (4) There was a significant mean difference between the students who were taught by using the reading-aloud strategy and those who were not taught by the reading-aloud strategy. Based on the results of this research, the reading-aloud strategy was effective in improving students' reading comprehension achievement and enhancing various aspects of reading among the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 19 Palembang]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this study is to explore the representation of authoritarianism in the Kutai folklore titled Punang, focusing on both the intrinsic and extrinsic aspects of the text. Through this story, it becomes evident how power and customary laws influence the social life of the community, particularly the pressure faced by King Buy to marry in order to produce offspring. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method with a hermeneutic and narrative approach to reveal messages of authoritarianism within the story. The findings indicate the presence of cultural authoritarianism, as seen in how leaders are expected to submit to collective decisions and customary laws that regulate individual freedom. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of regional literature and demonstrates how traditional norms can shape power structures and social legitimacy within local communities.]]>

<![CDATA[The low student learning outcomes are motivated by the lack of activity of students during the learning process and the teacher's dependence on textbooks. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of 4C-based mathematics e-modules on the learning outcomes of grade VII students at UPTD SMP Negeri 1, Mungka District. This research was carried out with a quantitative research method in the form of a Quasy Experiment. The data collection technique used is a test in Mathematics subjects. The sample of this selection was 54 grade VII students consisting of 27 people from the experimental class and 27 people from the control class. The data analysis techniques are normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test with the Wilcoxon Test test method. The results show that the use of 4C-based mathematics e-modules is significantly effective in improving the learning outcomes of grade VII students. If learning is facilitated with modules or e-modules based on the 4Cs, learning will be more effective, because after learning at school students can use the e-module, learning can be done independently by students.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to see the relationship between family support and adversity quotient in mothers who have autistic children in SLB Bukittinggi city. This study uses a correlational quantitative method. The research sample consisted of 119 mothers who had autistic children at SLB Bukittinggi city who were selected through the quota sampling technique. This study is a modification of the adversity quotient measuring instrument (Ummah, 2021) and used the family support measuring instrument (Kismawati, 2019) which have reliability of 0.881 and 0.894, respectively. The results of spearman correlation r = 0.595 and p value = 0.000 (p<0.05) showed a significant positive relationship between family support and adversity quotient in mothers who have autistic children in SLB Bukittinggi city]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study is to explore and understand the experiences of former methamphetamine addicts in rehabilitation centers. The method used method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Subject A who is 28 years old and is undergoing the rehabilitation process in one of the rehabilitation houses in X City participated as a subject. Data collection over five weeks involved interviews and observations. Data analysis involved data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity checks using triangulation. Interviews revealed psychological dynamics, avoidant attachment style, and permissive-indulgent parenting. Subject shared his journey of addiction to methamphetamine, including emotional changes, antisocial behavior, and the impact on his family relationships. This study provides an understanding of the experiences of former methamphetamine addicts and can help design rehabilitation programs that are more suited to individual characteristics, especially for those with avoidant attachment style]]>

<![CDATA[This research was motivated by the problems found in class VIII SMPN 1 2x11 Kayutanam, namely low student learning outcomes, lack of student knowledge about the material being taught, lack of active involvement of students in the learning process. The aim of this research is to find out that students' mathematics learning outcomes using the Active Knowledge Sharing strategy are better than student learning outcomes using conventional learning. This type of research is pre-experimental research with a research design, namely The Static Group Comparison Design. The population in this study were all students in class VIII of SMP N 1 2X11 Kayutanam. The sample in this research was class VIII.1 students as the experimental class and class VIII.2 students as the control class. The instrument used is an essay test. Based on the results of the final test analysis calculated using the t-test, tcount = 5.04 and ttable = 1.67. Because tcount > ttable. So, reject H0 and accept H1. So, it can be concluded that students' mathematics learning outcomes using the Active Knowledge Sharing strategy are better than student learning outcomes using conventional learning in class VIII SMP N 1 2x11 Kayutanam Academic Year 2022/2023]]>
