Abstract

Amidst technological disruption and business environment uncertainty, digital transformation has become a crucial factor in building sustainable competitive advantage. This study aims to analyze the impact of digital transformation on sustainable competitive advantage, with dynamic capabilities serving as a mediating variable. An explanatory quantitative approach was employed, utilizing data obtained from a survey of 145 middle and senior-level managers in Indonesia's manufacturing and service sectors. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with a bootstrapping procedure involving 5,000 resamples. The results indicate that digital transformation has a positive and significant effect on both dynamic capabilities (β = 0.584; t = 8.412; p < 0.001) and sustainable competitive advantage (β = 0.312; t = 3.825; p < 0.001). Dynamic capabilities also exert a positive and significant influence on sustainable competitive advantage (β = 0.428; t = 5.194; p < 0.001). Furthermore, the indirect effect of digital transformation on sustainable competitive advantage through dynamic capabilities is significant (β = 0.250; t = 4.310; p < 0.001). These findings demonstrate that dynamic capabilities act as a mediator in the relationship between digital transformation and sustainable competitive advantage

Abstract

Student comprehension in Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) lessons requires instructional strategies that foster active engagement and interaction. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Small Group Discussion (SGD) strategy to enhance student understanding and to identify the factors supporting or hindering its application in Fiqh classes at Madrasah Aliyah Miftahul Ulum Bettet, Pamekasan. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving the school principal, the Fiqh teacher, and students. Data analysis proceeded through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the Small Group Discussion strategy encourages student engagement and supports comprehension of Fiqh material. Supporting factors include student enthusiasm, a comfortable learning atmosphere, increased motivation, and the availability of adequate learning facilities and media. Conversely, hindering factors include a lack of awareness among some students regarding the importance of formal education and fatigue during lessons. Thus, the Small Group Discussion strategy serves as a viable alternative instructional method to support student understanding in Fiqh subjects.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited use of engaging instructional media for the topic of the "Stories of the Ulul Azmi Prophets" in the fifth-grade class at SDN 16 Sampoddo, Palopo City, resulting in instruction that remained largely conventional. The study aimed to develop a Powtoon-based animated film as an instructional medium and to assess its validity and practicality for Islamic Religious Education. A Research and Development (R&D) approach was employed using the ADDIE model, comprising the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were fifth-grade students at SDN 16 Sampoddo, Palopo City. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and validation sheets completed by subject matter and media experts. Validation results indicated that the medium achieved a score of 85% from the subject matter expert and 78.84% from the media expert, both falling into the "highly valid" category. A practicality test conducted by the teacher yielded a score of 84%, placing it in the "highly practical" category. Student feedback also indicated that the medium was easy to use, engaging, and boosted enthusiasm during the lesson. Consequently, the Powtoon-based animated film is deemed valid and practical as a supporting medium for teaching the "Stories of the Ulul Azmi Prophets" in fifth-grade Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to describe changes in the ability to recognize vowels following the use of picture card media among first-grade students with moderate intellectual disabilities at SLB Kartini Saumlaki. The study involved two subjects, identified by the initials BE and YR. The research was conducted over two cycles, comprising the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was performed descriptively by comparing vowel recognition scores from the initial assessment, Cycle I, and Cycle II, and by evaluating the achievement of established success indicators. Success indicators were based on meeting the minimum score set as the criterion for vowel recognition proficiency. The results showed that BE’s score improved from 40 at the initial stage to 52 in Cycle I and 72 in Cycle II, while YR’s score improved from 30 to 48 and 68. Based on the success indicators, BE met the criteria in Cycle II, whereas YR did not yet meet the established criteria. These findings indicate a relationship between the use of picture card media and changes in vowel recognition ability among the subjects; however, the results cannot be generalized as evidence of similar improvement for all students with moderate intellectual disabilities.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve the pre-Braille skills of two first-grade visually impaired students at SLB Bhakti Luhur Baumata Kupang through the use of a "pantule" board (a tactile pegboard). The study employed the Kemmis and McTaggart model comprising planning, action, observation, and reflection stages and was conducted over three cycles. The subjects were two seven-year-old visually impaired students: IK, who is totally blind, and MD, who has multiple visual impairments. Data were collected via observation, assessment tests, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The results demonstrated a gradual improvement in pre-Braille skills. In Cycle I, IK scored 51.8 and MD scored 49.2, with a class mastery rate of 0%. In Cycle II, IK’s score rose to 72, meeting the mastery criteria, while MD’s score increased to 55.8, bringing the class mastery rate to 50%. In Cycle III, which focused on MD, the score improved to 67, and the class mastery rate reached 100%. In the context of this study, the use of the pantule board facilitated improvements in pre-Braille skills—including tactile sensitivity, fine motor coordination, tactile discrimination, and directional concepts which serve as the foundation for Braille learning. These findings are specific to the research subjects and cannot yet be generalized to all visually impaired students

Abstract

The ability to make eye contact is a fundamental component of social communication that is often impaired in children with mild autism. This study aimed to describe changes in eye contact ability following the implementation of the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) method with a third-grade student with mild autism at SLB Bhakti Luhur Atambua. The study employed a Single-Subject Research approach, utilizing repeated measurements across baseline and intervention phases. The subject was a 10-year-old student identified by the initials OD. Data were collected through observation, tests, interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed descriptively using visual analysis. The results indicated a positive change in eye contact ability during the intervention phase. During the baseline phase, the subject's scores were 45, 50, and 57, respectively, whereas during the intervention phase, the scores increased to 65, 70, and 76. These score changes demonstrate an improvement in the subject's eye contact ability following the ABA intervention, which incorporated structured instruction, prompting, fading, repetition, and positive reinforcement. These findings suggest that the implementation of ABA procedures in this study is associated with positive changes in the subject's eye contact ability.
