Abstract

This research was motivated by the problems found in grade IX SMPN 03 Mapat Tunggul, namely the lack of learning media, the teaching aids used were not cultural-based, the teaching aids in schools were teaching aids that were not in accordance with the characteristics of students, resulting in students finding it difficult to understand the mathematical concepts learned. This research is a development research or Research and Development ( R & D ) with the development model Hannafin & Peck. Based on the development research that has been done, props were obtained with a very valid criterion of 82.33%, for the level of practicality is on a very practical criterion of 88.25%, for the level of effectiveness is on a very effective criterion of 80.95%. So it can be concluded that the Ethnomathematics-Based Mathematics Learning Aids at Rumah Gadang in grade IX SMPN 03 Mapat Tunggul Pasaman Regency for the 2022/2023 academic year that were developed are valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that the number of students who have low mathematical literacy skills is caused by various factors. One of the factors that affects mathematical literacy ability is learning motivation. This study aims to determine the ability of mathematical literacy when viewed from the learning motivation of students. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The sample in this study is grade XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Padang Panjang. The sample selection technique in this study uses the Stratified random sampling technique where the sample is selected based on strata. The instrument used in this study is test questions in the form of essays to see students' mathematical literacy skills. Data analysis was carried out descriptively on all research data. The results showed that the average mathematical literacy ability was 50 which was classified as low. If viewed from high learning motivation is classified as medium with an average score of 69, when viewed from medium learning motivation has low mathematical literacy skills with an average score of 56 and mathematical literacy ability reviewed from low learning motivation is classified as low in the low category with an average score of 25

Abstract

This research was motivated by the problems found in class VIII SMPN 1 2x11 Kayutanam, namely low student learning outcomes, lack of student knowledge about the material being taught, lack of active involvement of students in the learning process. The aim of this research is to find out that students' mathematics learning outcomes using the Active Knowledge Sharing strategy are better than student learning outcomes using conventional learning. This type of research is pre-experimental research with a research design, namely The Static Group Comparison Design. The population in this study were all students in class VIII of SMP N 1 2X11 Kayutanam. The sample in this research was class VIII.1 students as the experimental class and class VIII.2 students as the control class. The instrument used is an essay test. Based on the results of the final test analysis calculated using the t-test, tcount = 5.04 and ttable = 1.67. Because tcount > ttable. So, reject H0 and accept H1. So, it can be concluded that students' mathematics learning outcomes using the Active Knowledge Sharing strategy are better than student learning outcomes using conventional learning in class VIII SMP N 1 2x11 Kayutanam Academic Year 2022/2023

Abstract

This research was motivated by the problem of students' low ability to understand mathematical concepts, this can be seen from students' difficulties in solving problems that are different from the examples presented by the teacher. One effort to overcome this, researchers tried to apply a group investigation type cooperative learning model. This research aims to determine the significant influence of the group investigation type cooperative learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This type of research is pre-experimental with a research design, namely the static group comparison design. The population in this study was all class VIII MTs S Muhammadiyah Lawang Tigo Balai. The sample in this study was class VIII2 as the experimental class and class VIII3 as the control class. The instrument used in the research was a test of the ability to understand mathematical concepts in the form of a description test. Data obtained from research results based on data analysis using the t-test can be concluded that "there is a significant influence of the group investigation type cooperative learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

This research is an experimental study which aimss to see whther theree is a significant infIuence of the learning strategy relating, exsperiencig, appliying, cooperating, transferring (REACT) on the mathematical connection abilities of class X students at SMAN 2 Ranah Batahan, West Pasaman Regency. The population in this study were all class X students of SMAN2 Ranah Batahan. The samples in this study were two local areas, namely experimental class X.3 and control class X.2, totaIing 59 students. The sampling technikue was carried out using random sampling. The Instrument used is a mathematical connection ability test. Next, tests were carried out on both sample classes. Before testing, pre-requisite tests were carried out, namely the normality test and homogeneiti test. This research obtained hipothesis test results using the t-test, namely t_hitung=2.064, and t_hitung> t_((0.95;57)),so that it accepted H_1and rejected〖 H〗_0. So, the mathematical connection abilities of students who take part in learning using the REACT learning strategy are beter than student who takes part in learning using exspository learning strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didorong oleh lemahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memecahan masalah matematika, disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru dan metode yang tidak beragam. Salah satu solusi yang diusulkan adalah penerapan metode pembelajaran fishbowl. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah guna mengevaluasi apakah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang memakai metode fishbowl lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan metode kovensional di kelas X SMK Negeri 1 Ampek Angkek. Jenis penelitian ini ialah pra-eksperimen dengan desain The Static Group Comparison. Populasi penelitian mencakup semua kelas X di SMK Negeri 1 Ampek Angkek, dimana kelas eksperimen ialah X AKL dan kelas kontrol ialah X Busana 1. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan dan , yang berarti sehingga ditolak. Kesimpulannya, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar memakai metode fishbowl lebih baik dibandingkan yang diajar memakai metode kovensional di kelas X SMK Negeri 1 Ampek Angkek.

Abstract

Mathematics learning is a process of giving and receiving mathematical concepts between educators and students. In early childhood, the process of learning mathematics must be done with fun because at that age children learn through play. However, on the other side, it turns out that the COVID-19 pandemic occurred resulted in a significant impact for PAUD teachers in the teaching process, especially those experienced by teachers at PAUD in Payakumbuh City. The results of this study indicate that there are dynamics experienced by PAUD teachers in teaching, especially in applying fun mathematics learning to their students, including: 1) changes in children's behavior that are increasingly difficult to interact with, 2) lack of children's motivation to learn and socialize, and 3) the lack of teacher knowledge regarding the importance of fun mathematics learning methods in inculcating good mathematical concepts in children. Pembelajaran matematika merupakan suatu proses pemberian dan penerimaan konsep matematika yang dilakukan antara pendidik dan peserta didik. Pada anak usia dini, proses pembelajaran matematika haruslah dilakukan dengan menyenangkan karena pada usia tersebut anak belajar melalui bermain. Namun, di sisi lain ternyata pandemi COVID-19 yang terjadi mengakibatkan dampak yang cukup signifikan bagi guru PAUD dalam proses mengajarnya terutama yang dialami oleh guru di salah satu PAUD di Kota Payakumbuh. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya dinamika yang dialami oleh guru PAUD dalam mengajar terutama dalam menerapkan pembelajaran matematika yang menyenangkan kepada peserta didiknya, diantaranya: 1) perubahan perilaku anak yang semakin sulit untuk diajak berinteraksi, 2) kurangnya motivasi anak untuk belajar dan bersosialisasi, dan 3) minimnya pengetahuan guru terkait pentingnya metode pembelajaran matematika yang menyenangkan dalam penanaman konsep matematika yang baik pada anak.

Abstract

Masalah yang ditemukan di kelas delapan menjadi pendorong untuk penelitian ini. Metode pembelajaran sebagian besar berpusat pada guru, yang mengakibatkan keterlibatan siswa pasif dan tingkat keterampilan komunikasi matematika yang buruk di antara siswa, menurut pengamatan dan wawancara. Penerapan teknik token waktu, model pembelajaran kooperatif, adalah salah satu cara yang mungkin untuk mengatasi kesulitan ini. Pendekatan Perbandingan Kelompok Statis, desain pra-eksperimental, digunakan dalam penyelidikan ini. Semua siswa kelas delapan di Pondok Pesantren Darul Fiqhi Merangin merupakan populasi untuk penelitian ini, dan pengujian awal dilakukan pada data populasi untuk memastikan kenormalan, homogenitas, dan kesetaraan rata-rata. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara acak merupakan metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII B yang merupakan kelompok eksperimen dan kelas VIII C yang merupakan kelompok kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, rata-rata hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen adalah 64,69, menengahkan rata-rata kelompok kontrol adalah 53,19. Nilai t hitung sebesar 2,65 dan nilai t krusial sebesar 1,67 diperoleh dari analisis data menggunakan uji-t. Karena nilai t hitung lebih besar dari nilai t krusial, hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima dan hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak pada tingkat signifikansi α = 0,05. Dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran tradisional, dapat dikatakan bahwa siswa Pondok Pesantren Darul Fiqhi Merangin yang menggunakan strategi token time untuk pembelajaran kooperatif menunjukkan kemampuan komunikasi matematika yang lebih bagus.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of the Directed Practice learning approach on the motivation and learning outcomes of mathematics students in grade XI Phase F at State High School 1 Candung for the 2023/2024 academic year. The method used is pre-experimental with a Static Group Comparison design. The research sample consists of 54 students selected through random sampling techniques from a population of 79 students. The XI Phase F3 class is designated as the experimental group that receives instruction with the Directed Practice approach, while the XI Phase F2 class serves as the control group that receives conventional instruction. The instruments used in this study include learning outcome tests and motivation questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using the t-test with the help of SPSS software. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group, both in terms of learning motivation and mathematics learning outcomes. For learning motivation, a calculated t-value of 3.1656 was obtained > table t = 1.63756 with a significance value of 0.003 < 0.05. Meanwhile, for mathematics learning outcomes, a calculated t-value of 2.234 was obtained > table t = 1.63756 with a significance value of 0.03 < 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the Directed Practice learning approach has a significant effect on improving the motivation and mathematics learning outcomes of the XI Fase F students at SMA Negeri 1 Candung
