Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) are Islamic educational institutions that play a strategic role in character formation and the development of Islamic scholarship in Indonesia. Social change, technological advancement, and increasing demands for professionalism in educational management have encouraged pesantren to adopt more systematic management approaches. This article aims to examine strategic management in the development of Islamic boarding schools in the contemporary era by analyzing theoretical concepts, implementation practices, and their compatibility with the characteristics of pesantren as value- and tradition-based Islamic educational institutions. This study employs a qualitative approach using a library research method. The findings indicate that strategic management is relevant to the development of pesantren, particularly in formulating vision and mission statements, conducting environmental analysis, and strengthening human resources as well as institutional independence. However, its implementation still faces challenges, especially in terms of strategy evaluation and control, as well as economic and financial capacity. The novelty of this article lies in the synthesis of modern strategic management with the Islamic value-based characteristics of pesantren. Abstrak Pondok pesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan Islam yang memiliki peran strategis dalam pembentukan karakter dan pengembangan keilmuan keislaman di Indonesia. Perubahan sosial, perkembangan teknologi, dan meningkatnya tuntutan profesionalisme pengelolaan pendidikan mendorong pesantren untuk mengadopsi pendekatan manajemen yang lebih sistematis. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji manajemen stratejik dalam pengembangan pondok pesantren pada era modern saat ini dengan menelaah konsep teoretis, implementasi, serta kesesuaiannya dengan karakteristik pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan berbasis nilai dan tradisi Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa, manajemen stratejik relevan diterapkan dalam pengembangan pesantren, terutama dalam perumusan visi dan misi, analisis lingkungan, serta penguatan sumber daya manusia dan kemandirian lembaga. Namun, implementasinya masih menghadapi kendala, khususnya pada aspek evaluasi dan pengendalian strategi dan kekuatan ekonomi atau keuangan. Kebaruan artikel ini terletak pada sintesis manajemen stratejik modern dengan karakteristik pesantren berbasis nilai keislaman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab dan menganalisis hubungannya dengan kepemimpinan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi kasus kualitatif yang dilakukan di kelas XI Satu SMA Bustanul Ulum NU Bumiayu. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi, dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik kualitatif deskriptif. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berdiferensiasi diimplementasikan melalui penyesuaian dalam konten, proses, dan produk. Diferensiasi konten tampak dalam memodifikasi kompleksitas materi dan strategi scaffolding. Diferensiasi proses tercermin dalam beragam aktivitas pembelajaran, kecepatan yang fleksibel, dan bimbingan adaptif. Diferensiasi produk diterapkan dengan menawarkan tugas alternatif, termasuk output visual, auditori, dan kinestetik-interaktif. Implementasi tersebut berkontribusi pada keterlibatan, kenyamanan, dan kepercayaan diri siswa. Studi ini juga menyoroti bahwa keberlanjutan inovasi pembelajaran sangat dipengaruhi oleh dukungan kepemimpinan sekolah, khususnya dalam menumbuhkan budaya berkualitas, mendorong fleksibilitas pedagogis, dan memperkuat kapasitas profesional guru.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the effectiveness of assistance in mastering Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning materials for students with special needs at SMP Qaryah Thayyibah Kedungbanteng and SMPIT Harapan Bunda Purwokerto. This research is motivated by the increasing number of students with special needs in inclusive public schools and the importance of assistance in helping them understand religious materials and practices according to their abilities and needs. This study employs a qualitative approach with a comparative study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects included school principals, Islamic Religious Education teachers, Special Education Teachers (Special Assistant Teachers/GPK), and other related parties. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that assistance in mastering Islamic Religious Education materials for students with special needs in both schools has been implemented quite effectively, although with different characteristics. SMPIT Harapan Bunda Purwokerto, which is supported by the presence of Special Assistant Teachers (GPK), demonstrates more structured, intensive, and directed assistance in learning activities, religious practices, and evaluation of students’ development. Meanwhile, SMP Qaryah Thayyibah Kedungbanteng, despite not having Special Assistant Teachers, is still able to implement effective assistance through individualized approaches, humanistic learning methods, and the use of direct practice in Islamic Religious Education learning. The implications of this study show that the presence of Special Assistant Teachers plays a significant role in optimizing assistance for mastering Islamic Religious Education materials for students with special needs. Therefore, strengthening inclusive education policies, improving the competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers, and enhancing collaboration among schools, teachers, and parents are necessary to create inclusive and student-friendly Islamic Religious Education learning for students with special needs.

Abstract

The discourse on food will always be interesting and evolving, because it is a very basic need and cannot be separated from human survival. In addition to having a vital role and function for human survival, food is believed to have a philosophy behind the food's name. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the semiotics of the naming symbols of food served at the Islamic New Year celebration. The approach used in this research is a multidisciplinary qualitative-interpretive approach, namely by integrating the approach of Islamic religious studies with semiology. The method used in this study is the semiotic analysis method on the naming symbols of food served at the Islamic New Year celebration. This study successfully interpreted the naming symbols of the suro porridge served at the Islamic New Year with reference to its symbolic meaning.

Abstract

Service is the main task of every educational institution that aims for the servants of the state and the servants of the community. This is clearly outlined in the opening of the 1945 Constitution, which covers 4 aspects of the basic service of educational institutions to the community which reads: Protecting the entire nation and all Indonesian blood to promote the general welfare and educate the life of the nation. The educational institution referred to in this research is Pondok Pesantren. This research was conducted as a description of the service at Pondok Pesantren Al-Ihya 'Ulumaddin Cilacap. The study was conducted with a survey through the dissemination of respondent questionnaires. After that, testing the validity and reliability of the questionnaire, then continued with the analysis of the data of the results of the study. The analysis is done by calculating the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The result of this research is that the majority of the public views the Conformity of Vision, Mission, Objectives, Leadership and Managerial Capabilities of the Leadership Council, Leadership and Managerial Capabilities Section, Benefits and Hygiene of Financing, Facilities and Infrastructure, Methods of Education and Teaching Activities, Methods of Delivery of Teaching and Learning Activities Materials, Methods of Delivery of Development and Extracurricular Activities, and Implementation of Annual Activities. Already has a very good competence in providing services to santri. There were 2 moderate items, 0 high priority items, 54 achievement preserve items, 3 low priority items, 16 items were too much. Based on CSI calculations of 81.93% showing that overall judging from all attributes, the service of Pondok Pesantren Al-Ihya' Ulumaddin Cilacap has entered the satisfactory criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and develop an integrative model of educational leadership management in strengthening students’ character and competencies at SMK Darussalam Cilacap. The background of this research is based on the dynamic changes in education in the era of disruption, which demand leadership that is not only oriented toward academic achievement but also toward holistic character building and competency development of students. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation techniques applied to ensure data validity. The results indicate that the integrative leadership model implemented at SMK Darussalam Cilacap combines transformational, spiritual, and data-driven leadership dimensions. This leadership approach is capable of fostering a character-based school culture while simultaneously enhancing students’ competencies through industry-based and technology-integrated learning approaches. The model has proven effective in improving students’ discipline, responsibility, and vocational skills. Therefore, this integrative model serves as a strategic alternative for developing adaptive and sustainable educational leadership.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the reconstruction process of educational leadership in the post-COVID-19 pandemic era, shifting from emergency leadership to adaptive digital leadership. The pandemic has forced educational systems to undergo rapid transformations, resulting in a reactive and crisis-oriented leadership model focused on stability and immediate response. However, as the crisis subsides, such leadership is no longer sufficient to address the complexity of the digital era. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by analyzing relevant scholarly literature published between 2018 and 2022. The findings reveal that the reconstruction of educational leadership occurs through three main phases: the emergency phase, the recovery phase, and the transformation phase. This transformation leads to the emergence of adaptive digital leadership characterized by adaptability, integration of digital technology, collaborative leadership, and data-driven decision-making. Therefore, the reconstruction of educational leadership in the post-pandemic era is not merely technical but also paradigmatic, requiring a shift in mindset, values, and leadership practices toward a more innovative, sustainable, and future-oriented model.
