Abstract

West Kalimantan has a wide variety of cultures, ethnicities, and religions so that it has distinctive fashion products in each region such as cloth, songket, and also very varied weaving. The number of retail fashion also affects the interest and attractiveness of the community towards the development of fashion in Pontianak. Fashion is growing rapidly at this time due to technological developments where young people attach importance to fashion to support their appearance. Therefore, we need a fashion center in Pontianak that can be used to introduce, produce, market and most importantly promote West Kalimantan regional fashion. This building design uses a method that compares the results of observations with literature studies, comparative studies and standards applicable to fashion buildings and facilities, then analyzes the expected internal and external aspects. The design of the Pontianak Fashion Center building will be integrated with the surrounding area, and also the concept of the shape of the building which is applied from traditional clothing so that it can become a new icon of the city of Pontianak.

Abstract

Children are the future successors of the nation, so their growth and development must be maximized, especially for children in the childhood phase. Therefore, it is hoped that all parties can support the creation of a good and child-friendly environment for their development. Indonesia has a target for all regions to become a Child Friendly City/ District (KLA) by 2030. One of the KLA indicators is Child Friendly Schools (SRA), which is manifested in the implementation of a child-friendly learning process. Schools must be able to use the right learning approach for optimal child development. One method that is considered appropriate for the child's development stage is the Beyond Centers and Circle Time (BCCT) method, which in Indonesia is known as senling or short for centers and circles. The BCCT method is a learning method that is applied based on certain areas and is centered on children as learners. This method aim is to develop all aspects of multiple intelligence in early childhood through directed play by moving classes. The purpose of this is to find out how to design a BCCT based primary school using design method by J.C. Jones. The concept of space is formulated by applying textures, colors, flexible spaces and individual spaces that can support children's development.

Abstract

One of the districts with the largest population, densest population activities, and supporting economy is Sintang District, West Kalimantan Province with a population of 413,369 people in 2018. The increase in the population of Sintang Regency every year results in a high level of work activity and affects the desire to go to entertainment, recreation and tourism places. Many places can be visited in Sintang Regency, one of which is the Bukit Kelam tour. In today's technological era, the cinema building is one of the solutions for entertainment venues, where the audience can devote all their attentions and feelings to the living picture being witnessed. Therefore, the design of the Cinema Building located in Sintang Regency is a solution to provide a forum for the community to enjoy film shows and provide a modern building concept that is inseparable from the cultural elements in Sintang Regency. The concept of layout outside and inside the building is needed as an attraction to the Cinema Building. The theater building has the appeal of a dynamic building with a rectangular shape that follows the concept of a projector with the use of wood colors to make it look more elegant. In the building, the designer added Dayak and Malay ornaments which were elements of the Cinema Building Design concept so that it was not separated from cultural elements.

Abstract

Islam developed rapidly in Sambas Regency during the era of the Sambas Sultanate of Sultan Muhammad Syafiuddin II (1688-1922) and was nicknamed "The Veranda of Mecca". The strategic position of Sambas Regency on the border with Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam and close to Southeast Asian countries has the opportunity to establish an international standard forum. One of these forums is in the form of an Islamic Center carrying an international standard to continue to foster the spirit and Islamic values based on the Qur'an and As-Sunnah in Sambas Regency in this modern era. The Islamic Center is a forum that accommodates various activities of fostering and developing muslim communities based on Islamic teachings such as worship, muamalah, science, da'wah, information centers, and Islamic symbols, as well as community empowerment centered in one area. The method used in this design is the five-step method by McGinty (1979) which includes initiation, preparation, proposal submission, evaluation, and action. This design consists of the main, supporting, and supporting functions. The main functions are worship, islamic information center, islamic religious education, social, commercial, and services. Support functions include sports and lodging and support functions include management and service functions. The result of this design is the formation of a Sambas International Islamic Center area with multi-mass buildings including mosques, self-service commercial buildings, workshops and islamic banks, library and social buildings, multi-purpose buildings, male and female education buildings, management buildings, sports buildings, and a male and female dormitory building.

Abstract

The development of basketball in Pontianak City is in line with the availability of basketball sports facilities owned. Existing facilities are still inadequate or do not meet standards. Based on this phenomenon, the goal to be achieved in designing the Pontianak Basketball Arena is to produce a type A basketball sports building design in Pontianak City. This design refers to the Instruction Manual for Technical Planning for Sports Buildings published by the Ministry of the Public Works (1994) and Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic Indonesia Number 0445 of 2014 concerning Standards for Sports Infrastructure in the Form of Buildings and using the design method proposed by Jones (1992), where the method is divided into several stages, namely the idea stage, problem identification stage, data collection stage, data analysis stage, synthesis stage, and design stage. This design gave a building divided into 2 floors. The square shape of the building was chosen because it is considered to be the most suitable shape according to the land site and also be the most efficient shape according to the room organization. The facade of the building displays a shape inspired by the patterns found in basketball and the culture that exist in the city of Pontianak. The colors in the building are contrasted to create a prominent feel to make it more attractive and sporty. The space frame structure system applied to the roof of the building was chosen based on several considerations.

Abstract

Motorcycle racing is generally known as a dangerous sport, but it is enjoyed as an exciting pastime. In increasing the potential of motorcycle racers in Indonesia in general and in West Kalimantan in particular, it is necessary to build a sports facility in the form of a circuit in accordance with national standards in Kubu Raya Regency. The purpose of designing the Road Race Circuit in Kubu Raya Regency is to provide a place for racers in West Kalimantan to develop their hobbies. The design method used is the Robert Whitaker design method, which consists of the introduction stage, definition stage, preparation stage, analysis stage, synthesis stage, evaluation stage, and re-evaluation stage. The main concept in this design is to create circuit facilities with national standards that are integrated with commercial, recreational, and educational areas to meet the needs of Road Races. This design produces a track with a length of 2.6 km and has 15 bends that circle the area and is integrated with the tribune, pit building, commercial area, food court, and amphitheater with a cluster organization. The rectangular tribune follows the shape of the track and will be divided into two, namely VIP and economic stands. The pit building is rectangular in shape with three floors with facilities according to the standards of the Indonesian Motor Association. The amphitheater is located in the plaza area which can be used by visitors to enjoy the show before heading to the stands.
