Abstract

Policies and strategies for the construction of flats have been launched in various cities, one of which is in Pontianak which is intended for the general public and students. One of the Rusunawa in Pontianak is the Tanjungpura University Flat which is rented out for students which was built in 2009. Based on this, it is necessary to carry out a Post-Work Evaluation of the building that has been used for some time. This study aims to identify and evaluate the Rusunawa building of Tanjungpura University in terms of functional aspects and its application in design solutions. The research approach used is qualitative and quantitative research. The research method used is spatial syntax and place-centred mapping. The results showed that the results of connectivity analysis in spatial syntax showed low values in the drying room and kitchen area and integration analysis on spatial syntax showed low values in building circulation areas 1, 2, 3, and 4. Place centered mapping data showed activity. That residents routinely do on the building. This indicates a change in the function of space and affects the dimensions of space. The post-occupancy evaluation shows a change in the function of space, access to circulation, and the dimensions of space in the building. Based on the results of post-occupancy analysis and evaluation, the design proposal also focuses on variables with functional aspects, namely circulation, dimensions, flexibility and changes in space function.

Abstract

Mastery of foreign languages is an important skill to compete in the international world in the future. The Language Unit of Universitas Tanjungpura also supports the mastery of foreign languages and has a vision and mission to become a center for international language education and services in West Kalimantan. With the development of Universitas Tanjungpura, Universitas Tanjungpura currently has BLU status, so educational facilities need to provide commercial areas to fulfill this BLU status. Therefore, an Universitas Tanjungpura Language Training Center is needed that can support foreign language learning and there is a commercial area. The design location is located on Daya National Street, Sea Bansir, Southeast Pontianak Subdistrict, Pontianak City, West Kalimantan, with an area of ±11,000 m2. The design uses a comparison method between the results of site observations, existing buildings, literature studies, with training center standards, as well as analyzing internal and external aspects of the site. The basic idea of interior and exterior spatial planning is to support foreign language learning and attract visitors to have activities at the Universitas Tanjungpura Language Training Center. This is realized by designing an educational space that meets the criteria for a training room, a commercial space that has a selling value, and a public zone that is free to be visited by the public. The appeal of the idea of a design building is a triangle which is the hallmark of the Universitas Tanjungpura building form. The building is covered with secondary skin with a typical pattern of the Universitas Tanjungpura.

Abstract

Landak Regency has many natural resources that have the potential to be used as natural tourism objects. One of them is Dait Waterfall which has 7 floors and is located in an unspoiled forest area. The area is often visited by tourists from various regions of West Kalimantan. However, there are several problems related to supporting facilities and infrastructure that are not up to standard for tourism activities, so that the tourism potential is not maximized. For this reason, it is necessary to design a "Dait Waterfall Tourism Area in Landak Regency" which is in accordance with tourism standards and local environmental needs, with the concept of ecotourism that uses a sustainable environmental approach and empowerment of local communities. The arrangement is done by designing which starts from the function analysis process, which includes the main functions and supporting functions. The main functions include recreational aspects and supporting functions consisting of commercial functions, ecological functions and community participation functions. The design method consists of the introduction, definition, preparation, analysis, synthesis, evaluation and re-evaluation stages. The design process is applied in the construction of the main tourism facilities and infrastructure such as outbound areas, camping areas, selfie areas, and others. In addition, supporting facilities and infrastructure such as management areas, commercial areas, service areas, utility aspects, and others. With this design, it is hoped that the Dait Waterfall Tourism Area will attract more tourists from a wider variety of areas.

Abstract

The market is a place where buyers and sellers meet to conduct buying and selling transactions of goods and services. The characteristic of a market is the existence of transaction or buying and selling activities. The market has at least three main functions, namely distribution function, price formation function, and promotion function. Natuna is an area where one of the sources of the regional economy relies on natural resources and tourism sector. Natuna supports an important role in both trade and service activities. Along with the development of trade and services activities in Natuna Regency, the development of facilities and infrastructure that support trade and services activities. The role of the market is very important for the Natuna community to make it easier for people to obtain the goods and services needed so that people in Natuna no longer go outside the island or out of town just to shop for clothes and basic daily necessities. The purpose of the design of Natuna People's Market is to produce the design of the people's market in Natuna Regency as a shopping center and trade center. The application of passive cooling in the design of Natuna People's Market is one of the objectives to solve design problems that serve to provide thermal comfort by maximizing natural delivery. The attraction of Natuna People's Market building is from the dynamic form of buildings following the concept of the roof shape of the traditional house in Riau Islands. Another application is in the secondary skin of the building in the form of mats using brown iron plate material to create a color that looks classic and neutral.

Abstract

Over time, everyone grows up with what he remembers during our lifetime. Game Center is the place for the memory gathering. This has an impact on the interest of both young and old players which will continue to grow every year. Currently Pontianak does not have this game center. Meanwhile, game enthusiasts, especially in terms of audio-visual, are getting higher. From the static data in Statista, it states that the high demand and activity from games. Therefore, it is necessary to design a Game Center. The Game Center design is designed not only as a mere function of a game center, but also as a place for traditional games of the local community as well as a communal space that fills social activities. This game center design is done by analyzing internal and external sources and literature as well as standard references in existing game centers. The space requirements of the actors' activities also need to be analyzed to find the spatial program in the game center. Function, layout, circulation and utility are prioritized to produce a Game Center with communal functions. The building is designed to have three separate building masses. One mass building in the middle as the main building with a central function. The other two masses of the building are placed around the main building.
