Abstract

This study aims to optimize digital tourism strategies in the Puncak region, West Java, in support of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly inclusive economic growth and environmental preservation. The study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design and involves 225 digital tourists as respondents. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings indicate that both User-Generated Content and Digital Sentiment Analysis positively and significantly influence Tourism Sustainability, not only directly but also through the mediation of a Digital Tourism Strategy. Digital Sentiment Analysis has the most dominant influence on the formation of digital strategies, as indicated by a t-statistics value of 13.903. In addition, the model has a very strong predictive power, where Digital Tourism Strategy is able to explain 92.2% of the variance in Tourism Sustainability. Overall, these findings emphasize the importance of integrating tourist digital data and sentiment analytics as the basis for formulating adaptive, evidence-based tourism policies that are oriented towards destination sustainability and the balance of the national tourism ecosystem.

Abstract

Kashmiri Muslims are an ethnic group native to the Kashmir Valley in Indian-administered Kashmir, predominantly adhering to Sunni Islam. They refer to themselves as "Koshur" in their native language. The widespread conversion to Islam in the valley occurred primarily in the 14th century, significantly influenced by the efforts of Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani, a Persian Sufi mystic from Hamedan, Iran, who visited Kashmir multiple times during the 1370s and 1380s. His arrival, along with his disciples, marked a turning point as many settled in the region, promoting Islamic teachings. Earlier Islamic influences date back to the 12th and 13th centuries, with figures like Bulbul Shah (Syed Sharaf-ud-Din Abdur Rahman Suhrawardi), the first Muslim missionary in Kashmir, playing a key role. Additionally, the first known Quran manuscript in Kashmir, calligraphed by Fateh Ullah Kashmiri in 1237 AD, underscores the intellectual engagement with Islam during this period. This document explores the historical dissemination of Islam in the Kashmir Valley and the enduring impact of notable Islamic scholars on the region's spiritual and cultural evolution.

Abstract

This study aims to identify rice cultivation patterns and farmers' rice production responses to climate change by emphasizing the use of environmentally friendly technologies in Beringin District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. A qualitative approach was conducted through interviews with ten farmers during the 2021–2023 period. The results show that all farmers have implemented the jajar legowo planting system—specifically the 4:1 pattern—as an environmentally friendly cultivation technology proven to improve land efficiency, lighting, and air circulation for plants. In addition, farmers consistently use organic fertilizers in the form of cow and goat manure, with doses adjusted annually to maintain soil fertility without polluting the environment. No use of inorganic fertilizers was found during the three years of observation. This strategy has proven effective, as indicated by an increase in yields from an average of 2.5 tons to 4.5–8 tons per farmer per planting season. These findings confirm that the application of environmentally friendly cultivation technologies not only increases productivity but also strengthens the resilience of agricultural systems in the face of climate change. This study recommends strengthening technical and policy support to expand the application of green technology in the agricultural sector.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between work–life balance (WLB), employee stress levels, and turnover, while investigating the moderating roles of organizational culture and social support. Conducted among employees in the export–import department of PT Tjiwi Kimia, this research employs a quantitative survey approach. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate inter-variable relationships. The findings indicate that WLB significantly reduces employee stress and turnover. These effects are strengthened by a supportive organizational culture and adequate social support, both of which significantly moderate the relationships between WLB, stress, and turnover. The results support role balance theory and social support theory, emphasizing that employee well-being depends not only on balancing professional and personal life but also on a supportive work environment. Practically, the study suggests that organizations should strengthen flexible WLB policies, foster a supportive organizational culture, and facilitate social support systems as effective strategies to enhance employee well-being and retention.
