Abstract

Background: Oral health problems, including periodontal tissue problems, are important issues that need attention because they can affect a person’s quality of life and performance. The prevalence of the periodontal disease in all age groups in Indonesia is 96.58%. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of periodontal disease on adolescent physical performance. Method: This research was conducted in an analytic observational manner. The population of this research is adolescents aged 12-14 years in junior high schools in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia as many as 101 students. Data collection used the Modified Gingival Index (MGI) method and the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). The data analysis used was the ETA correlation test. Result: In the distribution of dental health knowledge, most of the respondents had a low level of knowledge of 88.1%, low physical activity of 44.6%, and good gingival health based on the Modified Gingival Index of 52.5%. Conclusion: There is a significant difference in the level of respondents’ Modified Gingival Index based on the respondent’s experience of getting dental and oral care and the last time he received dental and oral care.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine the improvement of the learning outcomes cognitive science of physics by using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model. This research was conducted in SMK Taruna Satria Pekanbaru from July to October 2019. The subjects were students of class X TKJ4 was 28 students consisting of 20 male students and 8 female students. The research metodh is pre-experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The instrument of data collection in this research is a cognitive achievement test consists of 15 multiple choice items. The analysis of the data in this research is a descriptive analysis. The descriptive analysis were obtained an average score of students before treatment by 41.67, after being given treatment, the average score of students was 80.24. Gain calculation shows that cognitive learning outcomes of students has increased by 0.66 with the medium category. Thus it can be concluded that the use of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning model can improve cognitive learning outcomes of students of class X SMK Taruna Satria Pekanbaru in the subject matter motion and force.Key Words: Cognitive Learning Outcomes, Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition, Motion and Force

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dengan cara mengamati langsung di Baznas gowa, selanjutnya dengan cara wawancara sebagai pendukung guna melengkapi informasi penelitian, serta dengan dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan guna melengkapi data dan teori. Sumber data yang penulis gunakan adalah terdiri dari sumber data primer yaitu data yang diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dan observasi dari pihak BAZNAS, Tokoh Ulama, Maustahiq penerima bantuan dan sumber data sekunder yaitu data yang diperoleh melalui penelaan buku-buku yang berkaitan dan menunjang penelitian ini. Setelah data terkumpul penulis melakukan analisa data dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Berdaisairkain pembaihaisain dain haisil penelitiain mengenaii Analisis Manajemen Pendayagunaan Zakat Terhadap Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Dalam Perspektif Ekonomi Syariah, manajemen pengelolaan dana zakat pada BAZNAS kabupaten gowa dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi masyarakat dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap yang meliputi tahap planning,tahap organizing, tahap actualiting, tahap controlling. Dampak yang timbul dari pendayagunaan zakat di BAZANAS Kab. Gowa dapat mensejahterakan kehidupan para mustahiq di antaranya adalah pengaruh dalam bidang ekonomi,Pendidikan, Kesehatan, Dakwa dan Advokasi. Dengan demikian, zakat memiliki pengaruh yang sangat besar dalam berbagai hal kehidupan para mustahiq.

Abstract

This analysis will delve into the various perspectives and theories surrounding the use of technology in education, considering both the benefits and drawbacks. Abstract

Industrial visits are an effective educational method for increasing student knowledge, especially in the context of the Butong Tea making process at PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV. This activity provides an opportunity for students to see firsthand the production process and understand the various technical and managerial aspects involved. Through this visit, students can connect the theory learned in class with real practice in the field, thereby deepening their understanding of the food industry. This industrial visit was carried out in Sidamanik District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra. The methods used were interviews and observation. Data collection was carried out by means of interviews, and the data taken was qualitative which was then analyzed descriptively

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) has brought major changes to the world of education, especially in terms of the media used to support the teaching and learning process. The use of ICT-based media offers various advantages, such as fast access to information, more interesting learning materials, and a more flexible and personalized approach. This article aims to analyze the role of ICT-based media in improving student learning outcomes. In this discussion, it is explained how the use of ICT can enrich learning experiences, increase student motivation, and support more collaborative and independent learning. Even though there are various benefits, this article also identifies several challenges faced in implementing ICT-based media, such as gaps in technology access, limited infrastructure, and a lack of digital skills among teachers and students. Based on this analysis, this article concludes that although ICT-based media has great potential to improve learning outcomes, the success of its implementation is very dependent on infrastructure readiness, training for teachers, and awareness of the importance of technology integration in the education curriculum. For this reason, there needs to be a more planned strategy and support from all parties to maximize the use of ICT in education

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan unsur fundamental yang terus berkembang seiring dengan perubahan jaman, dipengaruhi oleh kebutuhan masyarakat, kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan, dan perbedaan tujuan pendidikan. Berbagai aliran pendidikan, seperti tradisionalisme, progresivisme, humanisme, konstruktivisme, esensialisme, perenialisme, dan rekonstruksionisme, menawarkan berbagai filosofi, metode, dan pendekatan terhadap proses pembelajaran. Artikel ini membahas tentang sekolah pendidikan, prinsip dasar sekolah pendidikan, dan pengaruhnya terhadap sistem pembelajaran saat ini. Di tengah tantangan globalisasi, digitalisasi, dan keberagaman budaya, memahami berbagai aliran pendidikan menjadi kunci dalam merancang sistem pembelajaran yang adaptif, inklusif, dan relevan untuk masa depan. Artikel ini juga mengupas bagaimana integrasi berbagai pendekatan dapat menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang holistik, mencetak generasi yang siap menghadapi tantangan global, dan membangun pendidikan yang lebih efektif dan berorientasi pada kebutuhan masa kini.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between healthy food consumption and character development in students. The research is based on the premise that healthy eating plays a vital role not only in physical well-being but also in shaping students' behavior and moral values from an early age. A quantitative descriptive approach was used, employing a theoretical and conceptual analysis design. The findings indicate a strong relationship between healthy eating habits and the development of positive character traits such as discipline, responsibility, and honesty. Based on a regression analysis simulation, healthy food consumption was found to contribute approximately 46% to character formation. These results highlight the importance of integrating healthy eating patterns into character education programs both in schools and at home. The study recommends collaboration among schools, parents, and government bodies to promote healthy eating as a foundation for building strong and positive character in young generations.

Abstract

This study aimed to isolate and culture bacteria from well water samples as a first step in identifying microorganisms found in domestic water environments. Well water was chosen because it is one of the main water sources for communities, especially in rural areas, but is highly susceptible to contamination due to human activities such as household waste, agricultural waste, and poor sanitation systems. The isolation process was carried out using the pour plate and scratch plate methods using Nutrient Agar (NA) and MacConkey Agar (MAC) media, which function to detect various types of bacteria, both pathogenic and non-pathogenic, including gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Samples were incubated at 37°C for 24–48 hours to allow colony growth. After the incubation period, the growing colonies were observed morphologically based on the color, shape, and edge of the colonies. Next, the colonies were cultured to obtain pure cultures for further analysis. Preliminary results showed a diversity of colony shapes indicating the presence of several bacterial species, such as Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas sp., and possibly Enterobacter sp., which are indicators of air quality and the level of fecal contamination. This study provides a preliminary overview of the microbiological status of well water and the importance of regular testing of domestic water sources. Early identification through isolation and culture is crucial for mitigating public health risks and providing a basis for any necessary air treatment or sanitation interventions. Therefore, the results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for the community and government in sustainably maintaining the quality and safety of well water. The recommended next step is to conduct antibiotic resistance testing to determine the potential hazards of the identified pathogenic bacteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja perangkat desa di Kantor Desa Laut Dendang, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik total sampling terhadap 16 responden. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda melalui SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja perangkat desa, sedangkan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional secara parsial tidak berpengaruh signifikan, namun keduanya secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan kedisiplinan kerja menjadi faktor utama dalam meningkatkan kinerja aparatur, dan efektivitas kepemimpinan akan optimal jika didukung oleh kedisiplinan yang tinggi. Implikasinya, pemerintah desa perlu fokus pada pembinaan disiplin dan pengembangan kepemimpinan adaptif.
