Abstract

Purpose - Marketing innovation in the digital era is increasingly decisive for the institutional capital of small private higher education institutions (HEIs) in developing economies. This study examines how STIKOM CKI, a small private ICT institution in East Jakarta, Indonesia, can leverage digital marketing to reverse declining enrollment and strengthen institutional capital. Design/methodology/approach - The study adopts a qualitative single-case design that triangulates semi-structured interviews with institutional management and current students, document analysis of internal records, and netnographic observation of the institution's official digital channels. Evidence was analysed thematically and mapped onto established strategic frameworks (RBV, VRIO, Value Chain, PESTEL, Porter's Five Forces, and SWOT/TOWS). Findings - Institutional data confirm a structural enrollment decline of 39% between 2020/2021 and 2024/2025, driven primarily by low brand awareness and under-utilised digital tools rather than by academic quality. The study develops a Digital Marketing Higher Education Strategic Framework resting on five pillars: SDGs-MSME differentiation, a prioritised multi-channel presence (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google Search, WhatsApp Business), community-based marketing, micro-credential innovation, and data-driven improvement. A phased twelve-month implementation plan with measurable KPIs is proposed at an estimated annual investment of Rp 120,000,000-Rp 170,000,000. Originality/value - The study contributes to the limited literature on digital marketing for small private HEIs in developing economies, demonstrating how SDGs-MSME alignment can function as a rare and inimitable competitive differentiator rather than a peripheral commitment.

Abstract

Performance-based budgeting is a planning, budgeting and evaluation system that emphasizes the relationship between the budget and the desired results. Budgeting with this performance approach is prepared with an output orientation. The success of a government organization does not only depend on how the organization carries out its daily processes and activities, but also depends on how routine and non-routine activities are sequenced within a strategic planning framework. Strategic planning is a key word that will provide direction and guide daily activities and activities. The performance of the Regional Government can be measured through the evaluation of the implementation of the APBD. For this reason, Cost Analysis Standards, performance benchmarks, and cost standards were developed. The most important reason for preparing an annual budget is the need to determine the level of income and expenditure (expenditure)

Abstract

South Sulawesi Province serves as a major economic growth center in Eastern Indonesia, characterized by rapid development dynamics over the past decade. This study aims to analyze economic growth patterns, economic structural transformation, sectoral contributions, and identify strategic challenges faced in efforts to achieve sustainable economic development. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with comparative analysis and sectoral decomposition, using secondary time series data for the 2020–2024 period sourced from the Central Statistics Agency. The results show that the South Sulawesi economy has high resilience to external shocks, as evidenced by its rapid recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic and the achievement of an average growth rate of 5.12% per year. Structurally, the economy is still dominated by the primary sector (Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries) with an average contribution of 24.08%, followed by the tertiary sector (Trade and Services) and the secondary sector (Construction and Industry). Although there has been a gradual shift towards the service sector, the economic transformation towards industrialization has not been significant. Policy implications emphasize the need to strengthen the downstreaming of primary products, accelerate economic diversification, and equalize infrastructure across regions to create a more robust, balanced, and highly competitive economic structure.

Abstract

Changes in the dynamics of the workplace encourage the emergence of quiet quitting behavior , especially among Generation Z employees who are concerned about work-life balance and psychological well-being. This study aims to analyze the influence of work-life balance and burnout on job withdrawal behavior with job satisfaction as a mediating variable in Generation Z employees in Jakarta. The study used a quantitative approach with 120 respondents and was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results showed that work-life balance significantly influenced withdrawal behavior and job satisfaction, while burnout significantly influenced withdrawal behavior but not job satisfaction. Job satisfaction also significantly influenced withdrawal behavior and was able to mediate the influence of work-life balance on that behavior, but did not mediate the influence of burnout . These findings indicate the importance of improving work-life balance in strengthening the satisfaction and engagement of Generation Z employees and reducing the tendency of quiet quitting . Keywords: work-life balance , burnout , job satisfaction, quiet quitting , Generation Z.

Abstract

West Aceh Regency has significant potential in the agricultural sector, which has been the focus of various government development programs. However, evaluation of the impact of these programs has been predominantly based on quantitative indicators and has not fully captured the resulting social value. The Social Return on Investment (SROI) approach presents a method capable of comprehensively measuring the social, economic, and environmental value of an intervention. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the social impact of agricultural programs implemented in West Aceh, calculate the program's Social Return on Investment (SROI) ratio, and formulate data-based recommendations for future program improvements. This research method consists of four main stages. The first stage is Program Identification and Data Collection. The second stage is Program Impact Identification. The third stage includes Social Return on Investment (SROI) Analysis, namely the calculation of the Social Return on Investment (SROI) ratio. Finally, the fourth stage is validation of the analysis results. The results of this study conclude that the agricultural programs implemented in West Aceh Regency have had positive and sustainable social and economic impacts on the beneficiary communities. The calculation results show a Social Return on Investment (SROI) of 1.09:1, meaning that every Rp 1 of government investment generates Rp 1.09 worth of social benefits. This value indicates that the program has been socially effective and has made a significant contribution to improving farmer welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Islamic marketing strategy implemented by Mickey Olshop Muslim Fashion Store in Tebing Tinggi to increase sales of sharia clothing products. The research also examines the advantages and disadvantages of implementing Islamic marketing strategies, as well as the supporting factors and obstacles faced in their application. This qualitative research was conducted over five months at Mickey Olshop Tebing Tinggi Boutique. Data collection methods included observation, in-depth interviews with the store owner, assistant manager, and employees, as well as documentation. The findings reveal that Mickey Olshop implements an Islamic marketing strategy through several approaches: promotional activities with discounts ranging from 10-30% during Islamic holidays, prioritizing excellent customer service with polite and courteous treatment, requiring employees to wear Muslim clothing to showcase product quality, offering discounts on defective products, operating a dropshipping system based on the principle of mutual assistance (ta'awun), and utilizing an online marketing system through an official website. The advantages of this strategy include facilitating business entry without capital requirements, strategic location accessibility, diverse product offerings, and authentic quality products that compete effectively with other Muslim fashion stores. However, disadvantages include limited customization options, consumer perceptions that associate robes with religious exclusivity, non-Sharia compliant products in some items, stock limitations due to imported goods, and relatively high prices. Supporting factors include positive customer feedback, good management, honest employees, and excellent service standards. Obstacles comprise limited parking space, proximity to congested main roads, relatively expensive products limiting purchasing power, and delays in imported goods delivery.
