Abstract

In recent years, the increasing awareness of disasters has lead to the change in the perception of threat to disasters manifoldly in Jammu & Kashmir particularly after 2014 floods and Covid 19 Pandemic. Disasters and its effect on public consciousness has become one of the most noticeable trends on a global level. Jammu and Kashmir has seen all types of disasters in past ranging from Earthquakes to floods, fires, Droughts, Pandemic etc. Despite of global community's unfulfilled promise of a society in which every woman enjoys complete gender equality, as well as the eradication of all legal, social, and economic obstacles to women empowerment, persists in Kashmir .Women comprise the largest proportion of the impoverished are the most vulnerable and disadvantaged group but in this indigenous community of Dal Dwellers in Srinagar, it has been found that women were more involved in Disaster Response and relief ranging from providing food to providing shelters to the affected people. This community depends more on natural resources, but has less access to them. In fact, they often face a significant burden for procuring food, water, and fuel. These areas are mostly threatened by Floods. In Kashmir women is consider as agent beyond these disasters. Hence an attempt has been made to emphasis the aura Dal Lake and women inclusivity in Disaster Management..

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to determine the growth response and production of glass gem corn plants (Zea mays L.) using trichocompost soil amendments and the application of eco enzyme. This research used a factorial randomized block design (RAK) consisting of 2 treatment factors with 16 combinations and 3 replications to obtain a total of 48 plots. The parameters observed in this study were Vegetative Growth which consisted of flower age, plant height, number of leaves, root length, leaf area, stem diameter, net assimilation rate, fresh and dry root weight, shoot fresh and dry weight, plant growth rate. . The second observation is production which consists of cob length, cob diameter, cob weight per sample, cob weight with sample husks/plants. The research results showed that the results of the analysis of trichocompost fertilizer content were Nitrogen 1.93%, P2O5 1.93%, K2O 3.56; C-Organic 25.35%; Cu 23.29 Ppm, Fe 0.23%, Mn 181.95 Ppm, Zn 0.01 Ppm, pH 8.71, and water content of 50.50%. Furthermore, the results of the analysis of the eco enzyme fertilizer content are Nitrogen 0.25%, P2O5 0.02, K2O 0.04; C-Organic 0.93%; Cu >0.0002 Ppm, Fe 34.44 Ppm Mn 4.43 Ppm, Zn 0.01 Ppm, pH .25. The use of fruit waste as liquid organic fertilizer and cow dung as organic fertilizer is effectively used to increase the growth rate and productivity of corn plants, especially galss gem corn.

Abstract

The conversion of wetland rice farming land is one of the phenomena of changing lowland rice farming land into other food crops and horticultural crops. The aim of this research is to examine the economic value of land before and after land conversion, and analyze the impact of agricultural land conversion on farmers' income, as well as find out what factors influence land conversion. This research uses a case study method, where to answer the research objectives using multiple linear regression analysis, land rent value, farmer income, R-square test, F test, and T-test using the EViews 12 software application. The research results show the value The average land rent for respondents' agricultural land is IDR 24,771,425/year. Based on the classification of agricultural land, the average land rent for respondents for lowland rice crops is IDR 5,920/m²/year, and the average land rent for respondents for other food crops and horticulture is IDR 7,287/m²/year. For respondents, the average farming income was IDR 38,743,925/year, and based on agricultural land classification, the average yield of wetland rice was IDR 7,370/m²/year, as well as other food and horticultural crops of IDR 24,231/m²/year. . Based on the results of the regression analysis, the R-square value was obtained at 0.897970, which means that the independent variable explains the change of function of paddy fields in Simalungun Regency by 89.79%, while the remaining 10.21% is influenced by other variables outside the research. The results of the F test (simultaneous) show that all independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable with a probability value (F-statistic) of 0.000000 < 0.05, and partially the factors that have a significant effect on land conversion are land area before conversion and acceptance after the change of function as a farmer, while other variables, namely age of the farmer, last education of the farmer, income before the change of function, operational costs before the change of function and operational costs after the change of function have no significant effect (the influence of the variables is very small).

Abstract

Simalungun Regency is the 4th highest beef producing district in North Sumatra thus making Simalungun Regency very potential in fattening cattle. This study aims to determine the difference between the advantages of fattening cattle using super sheeds and madras sheeds in Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra. The data analysis method used is descriptive quantitative with statistical analysis tools independent sample t-test. The results showed that the profits of the super breeders of cattle fattening business were not the same as the Madras breeds with the average profit per kg obtained by super breeders of cattle fattening of Rp. 466/kg, while the average profit per kg obtained by Madras cattle fattening breeders is Rp. 1,391/kg. This result can be strengthened by the value of t arithmetic (17.011) > t table (2.048) and p value (0.000) < α (0.025), so it can be concluded that the profit of fattening cattle on super breeds is not the same as that of madras seedlings.
