Abstract

This study aims to measure the frequency and intensity of insect attacks on mahogany seedlings (Swietenia mahagoni), also determine the level of damage that was caused by insect that attack mahogany seeds (S. mahagoni). Data used in this research is primary data and secondary data. Primary data is obtained through observations by making direct by grouping the level of insect attacks, secondary data is carried out by recording and measuring data to the agencies that was related to the environmental factors of the research location such as climate, humidity and temperature in the nursery. The results of the data shows that the frequency of insect attacks is about 78.6% and the frequency of leaf spot disease (leaf spot) is about 16%, while the overall attack of the frequency rate is about 94.6%, then the intensity of attacks on healthy seedlings is about 27, 317 seedlings were slightly damaged, 146 moderately damaged seeds, 1 seeds were severely damaged and 9 seedlings died with an intensity of attack of 32.4%, the damage rate that was caused by the insect and also leaf spot that attack mahogany seedlings (S. mahagoni) fall into the category of moderate damage. Based on the results of this study, insects and diseases that attack mahogany seedlings (S. mahagoni) in the nursery of The Centre of Watershed Management and Barito Protected Forests (BPDASHL) were green grasshopper insects (Oxya chinensis), stem borer insects (Xylosandrus sp.), Walang sangit insects (Leptocorisa acuta) and leaf spot diseases (leaf spot). Plant control is needed such as giving pesticides, natural enemies, from a kind of parasitoid wasp that attacks larvae Xylosandrus, and uses fungicides or wood vinegar.Keywords: Insects, Mahogany, Intensity of attacks, Level of damage

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics, the level of criticality of the land, and determine the direction of land and forest rehabilitation (Green Revolution) based on the level of criticality of land in the Bati Bati Sub DAS, Maluka DAS, Tanah Laut Regency.The method used in this study was carried out by determining the location for data sampling using purposive sampling technique, namely the sample points were determined deliberately and data collection was carried out directly in the field in accordance with predetermined observation points through the overlay results of soil types, slope class and land cover for get primary data and secondary data. The results obtained from the analysis of the level of land criticality, namely the characteristics (productivity, slope, erosion, and management) based on the calculation of scores and weights show that the greatest value is in the 7 plantation land units of 380 (critical potential), while the smallest characteristic value is in land units. 39 and 37 alang-alang land units of 220 so that this land unit is categorized as critical. Areas with plantation land cover and shrubs have the same level of land criticality, namely critical to critical potential, while the level of land criticality in alang - alang land cover is at the level of somewhat critical to critical. Forest and Land Rehabilitation (RHL) based on the level of criticality of the land has three types of directions, where in rather critical areas need to be agroforestry and terassering, critical areas with revegetation, and very critical areas need reclamation and revegetationTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Menganalisis karakteristik, tingkat kekritisan lahan, dan menentukan arahan rehabilitasi hutan dan lahan (Revolusi Hijau) berdasarkan tingkat kekritisan lahan di Sub DAS Bati Bati DAS Maluka Kabupaten Tanah Laut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menentukan tempat pengambilan sampel data menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu titik sampel ditentukan secara sengaja dan pengumpulan data dilakukan secara langsung di lapangan sesuai dengan titik pengamatan yang telah ditetapkan melalui hasil overlay jenis tanah, kelas kelerengan dan tutupan lahan untuk mendapatkan data primer dan data sekunder. Hasil yang diperoleh dari analisis tingkat kekrtisan lahan yaitu karakteristik (produktivitas, lereng, erosi, dan manajemen) berdasarkan perhitungan skor dan bobot menunjukan bahwa nilai terbesar berada pada unit lahan 7 perkebunan sebesar 380 ( Potensial kritis), sedangkan nilai karakteristik terkecil berada pada unit lahan 39 dan unit lahan 37 alang-alang sebesar 220 sehingga unit lahan ini dikategorikan kritis.Kawasan dengan tutupan lahan perkebunan dan semak belukar memiliki tingkat kekritisan lahan yang sama yaitu potensial kritis sampai kritis, sedangkan tingkat kekritisan lahan pada tutupan lahan alang - alang berada pada tingkat agak kritis hingga kritis. Rehabilitasi Hutan dan Lahan (RHL) berdasarkan tingkat kekritisan lahan memiliki tiga jenis arahan, dimana pada kawasan agak kritis perlu diadakan agroforestry dan terassering, kawasan kritis dengan revegetasi, serta kawasan sangat kritis perlu dilakukan reklamasi dan revegetasi

Abstract

This study aims to identify the types of damage found in the Nyawai stand using a purposive sampling method in order to obtain a description of the desired data as many as three plots size of 27x27 meters. The results obtained showed that the location of the greatest damage was found in the root, upper stem and lower stem. The type of damage that attacks the most tree stands is open wounds, fungi and cancer. The canopy condition of the Nyawai stand shows normal leaves. The most dominant type of damage in the tree stands is open wounds with 135 stands, mushrooms as many as 99 stands and cancer as many as 34 stands.

Abstract

The Community Forestry (HKm), program especially in Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan Province is an example and needs to be a good momentum to show the public that the community is also able to manage forests sustainably. Successful implementation of HKm depends very much on the Forest Farmer Group (KTH) it self. Therefore, the Forest Farmer Group must be able to answer public doubts about the community's ability to manage forests sustainably. Other forest farmer groups are also expected to be encouraged and competed to plan, and propose to obtain permits for the management of forest areas (Fauzi, 2016). This research is to describe the business development of the HKm program and its development in Telaga Village. Analyzing community income from the HKm program and efforts beyond HKm in Telaga Village. Community Revenue Program from HKm Business in Telaga Village. . Results of research The types of businesses that became the HKM commodity of Telaga village were oyster mushroom cultivation and honey bee culture. The income of KTH Subur Makmur members outside of HKm as the principal income is greater than the operating income of HKm. The average monthly income from the HKm business is Rp. 600,000 and non-HKm average income of Rp. 3,735,000. The contribution of HKm business to KTH Subur Makmur members is 15.96%. Abstract

Liang Anggang and surrounding areas, Ironwood needs are mostly fulfilled from the Kintap area and its surroundings. The local government has tried to preserve Ulin by making regional regulations regarding the load of ironwood. Tanah Laut Regency with Regional Regulation No. 35 of 2005 has banned transporting Ironwood uses four-wheeled vehicles and allows two-wheeled vehicles to carry the longest 1.5m Ironwood arrears known as Ironwoodmotorcycle. This study aims to find out information about the load of Ironwood from the Kintap Subdistrict area and its surroundings to the Liang Anggang area, namely from aspects: background, transportation equipment, socio-economic dimensions of wood, timber volume and income. The benefit of this research is to be able to provide information about transporting Ironwood to the relevant Service as a basis for consideration in formulating a policy relating to the existence of ulin motorcycle. The object in this study was ironwood motorcycle who crossed the streets of banjarmasin province. The data obtained consisted of 2 types of data, namely primary data obtained by direct interviews with ironwood motorcycle, along with related parties, and secondary data obtained by collecting data from relevant agencies. The results show that if assumed to be the same condition as the number of Ironwood motorcycle and Ironwood supplies from the Kintap area, then since 2005 the average number of Ironwood transported to the Anggang Liang area is around 105,330.50 m3 / 12 years.Keywords: Motorcycle ulin wood; Ironwood

Abstract

This research aims to calculate life percentage on every treatment and analyze the growth of Trembesi (Samanea saman (Jacq.) Merr.) seedlings to the various interaction between concentration and interval application of the best liquid compost. This research was conducted in the Shade House of Forestry Faculty Lambung Mangkurat University Banjarbaru, for 3 months. The data was analized using factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with  2 factor (A (concentration) with 4 levels and B (interval of application) with 3 levels) and 10 replications. The result showed the life percentage of seedlings on every treatment was 100%. The interaction of treatment between concentration and interval application of liquid compost did not show the real influence on every parameter observed (the increase of tall, stem diameter and sum of leaves). The single factor concentration of giving liquid compost shows a significant effect on seedlings. The concentration of liquid compost that give the best response toward Trembesi seedlings growth was 18 ml/liter of water (the increase of tall was 23,34 cm, stem diameter was 0,35 cm and sum of leaves was 9,6 leaves), while the interval for giving liquid compost does not show a significant effect on the seedlingsPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung persentase hidup pada setiap perlakuan dan menganalisis pertumbuhan bibit trembesi (Samanea saman (Jacq.) Merr.) terhadap interaksi antara konsentrasi dan interval pemberian pupuk kompos cair terbaik. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Shade House Fakultas Kehutanan Universitas Lambung Mangkurat Banjarbaru, selama 3 bulan. Data dianalisis menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktorial dengan 2 faktor (faktor A (konsentrasi) dengan 4 taraf dan faktor B (interval pemberian) dengan 3 taraf) dengan 10 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan persentase hidup bibit pada setiap perlakuan adalah 100%. Interaksi perlakuan antara konsentrasi dan interval pemberian pupuk kompos cair tidak menunjukan pengaruh yang nyata pada semua parameter yang diamati (pertambahan tinggi, diameter batang dan jumlah daun). Faktor tunggal kosentrasi pemberian pupuk kompos cair menunjukan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap bibit. Konsentrasi pupuk kompos cair (A) yang memberikan respon terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan adalah 18 ml/l air (pertambahan tinggi 23,34 cm, diameter batang 0,35 cm dan jumlah daun 9,6 tangkai daun), sedangkan interval pemberian kompos cair tidak menunjukan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap bibit

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui rendemen pengolahan tepung buah nipah dengan 2 cara pengolahan dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Buah nipah sebagai bahan baku diambil dari Desa Bunipah Kabupaten Banjar Kalimantan Selatan. Pengolahan buah nipah menjadi tepung buah nipah dilakukan di Laboratorium Minat Tekhnologi Hasil Hutan Fakultas Kehutanan UNLAM Banjarbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan parameter 2 perlakuan (cara pengolahan) dan 3 ulangan. Hasil analisis keragaman menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan cara pengolahan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap rendemen. Tetapi dari perhitungan secara manual pengolahan dengan cara diparut lebih tinggi dari pada cara diiris yaitu rata-rata nilai rendemen dengan cara diiris 30,1%, dan dengan cara diparut 31,0%. Perbedaan rendemen ini disebabkan karena adanya faktor diantaranya tingkat atau level kematangan tua yang berbeda, ketelitian dalam proses pengirisan dan pemarutan, serta alat yang digunakan dalam pengolahan tepung yaitu ketajaman parutan, pisau dan mesin penggiling tepung. Pengolahan tepung buah nipah dengan cara diparut menunjukan hasil yang lebih tinggi rendemennya, serta kualitas warna tepung yang dihasilkan lebih bersih dari pada cara diiris. Oleh sebeb itu disarankan untuk pengolahan tepung buah nipah menggunakan cara diparut.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to evaluate the fire incident at 2019 and identify the fuel charge in the Tangi wood RPH KPH from Liang Anggang Forest Reserve. The research location is conducted with the purpose of sampling at 5 points that occur fire incidents and in each tile a fire event created triangular plot made with 3 sizes 30 x 30 x 30 m, 10 x 10 x 10 m, and 1 x 1 m2 systematically. The fire incident was found at five research locations in the area of Liang Anggang protected Forest, consisting of 4 blocks I and 1 region in the Block II area. Plots 1, 2, 4, and 5 have been performed and the fire area is only in the most severe plots, while in the tile 3 the incidence area is very severe because no blackout activities are carried out there. The lost fuel load on block I and Block II in the 2019 is severe and can be categorized in high weather warnings even reaching extreme so that fire prone to fire occurs.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi kejadian kebakaran tahun 2019 dan mengidentifikasi muatan bahan bakar di KPH Kayu Tangi RPH Pengaron Hutan Lindung Liang Anggang. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara purposive sampling pada 5 titik yang terjadi kejadian kebakaran dan pada masing-masing petak kejadian kebakaran dibuat plot segitiga yang dibuat dengan 3 ukuran yaitu 30 x 30 x 30 m, 10 x 10 x 10 m, dan 1 x 1 m2 secara sistematis. Kejadian kebakaran ditemukan pada lima lokasi penelitian di areal Hutan Lindung Liang Anggang, yang terdiri dari 4 di wilayah blok I dan 1 di wilayah blok II. Petak 1, 2, 4, dan 5 telah dilakukan pemadaman dan luasan kejadian kebakaran pun hanya pada petak 2 yang paling parah, sedangkan pada petak 3 areal kebakarannya sangatlah parah dikarenakan tidak ada kegiatan pemadaman yang dilakukan disana. Muatan bahan bakar yang hilang pada blok I dan blok II pada tahun 2019 sangatlah parah dan bisa dikategorikan dalam rambu pengukuran cuaca adalah tinggi bahkan mencapai ekstrim sehingga rawan terjadi kebakaran.

Abstract

Bukit Birah is a hill that gives a view of the Kandangan Lama Village, the scenery of the sunrise and sunset, the beauty of the hills, the beach and the ocean and also the diversity of flora and fauna along the climbing path to the hills. The research was carried out to: find out the potential of the tourism landscape and assess the potential tourism of Bukit Birah. Data retrieval is done by the observation, interview and documentation, while data processing used scoring methods and itis described descriptively. The results show that the potential of Bukit Birah tourism landscape is 22, class A (high quality) so that it has the potential to be developed as a natural tourism object. The potential of tourism based on scoring is included in the medium potential with a value of 43 so it needs more development especially in terms of tourist facilities.Keywords: Potential Tourism, Bukit Birah, Tanah Laut Regency

Abstract

Kawasan hutan mangrove di kabupaten Tanah Laut terus mengalami kerusakan yang diakibatkan oleh pembukaan tambak, abrasi pantai dan kurangnya kepedulian masyarakat. Ekowisata adalah bentuk perjalanan wisata yang menitikberatkan pada konservasi sumberdaya alam. Kawasan hutan mangrove di desa Pagatan Besar berpotensi untuk dikembangkan menjadi kawasan ekowisata mangrove. ParameterIndeks Kesesuaian Ekosistem untuk Wisata Mangrove (IKW) meliputi ketebalan mangrove, kerapatan mangrove, jenis mangrove, objek biota, pasang surut, karakteristik kawasan dan aksesibilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi dan kesesuaian hutan mangrove di desa Pagatan Besar sebagai kawasan ekowisata. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode purposive samplingdengan menentukan tiga titik stasiun yang mewakili kondisi kawasan, Pengukuran ketebalan mangrove dilakukan secara manual dengan menarik garis tegak lurus kearah laut, analisa vegetasi menggunakan Line Transect plot, untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat dilakukan wawancara langsung kepada responden yang telah ditentukan secara sengaja.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, nilaiIKWkawasan mangrove di desa Pagatan Besar sesuai untuk dikembangkan menjadi kawasan ekowisata dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 74,99 %.Jenis mangrove yang ditemui adalah jenisRhizophora mucronata, Excoecaria agallocha L., Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Avicennia marina, Acanthus ilicifolius L., Terminalia cattapa L., Cerbera manghas L dan Pandanus odoratissima. Jenis biota yang berasosiasi adalah krustasea, mollusca, reptil, ikan, burung, arthropoda dan primata. Masyarakat desa Pagatan Besar sudah mempunyai pemahaman yang baik terhadap ekosistem mangrove serta pentingnya pelestarian dan tujuan dibukanya kawasan ekowisata mangrove.
