Abstract

The purpose of this study was to calculate the amount of biomass produced in the algae stands and estimate the amount of carbon reserves in the galam stands at PT. JBG Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan. Determining the observation plot is done by purposive sampling using this method where the research location can be carried out deliberately that takes into account and considers the conditions of the research place. grid shape used is a circle. Where the tree and pole level has a radius of 6m, the sapling level is 3m, and the seedling level has a radius of 1.5m. Plot collection was also dominant in the class which was quite tight and very tight at all growth levels, and litter sampling measuring 20 cm x 20 cm in each plot. The estimation result of biomass per 1Ha 0.1580 ton / ha, the total in the area of 100 ha of galam swamp forest is 15.80 ton / ha. The carbon stock produced in 1Ha is 0.0785 tonnes / ha, for a total of 100 ha of galam swamp forest, worth 7.85 tonnes / haTujuan penelitian ini adalah Menghitung jumlah biomassa yang dihasilkan pada tegakan galam dan menduga jumlah cadangan carbon pada tegakan galam di PT. JBG Kabupaten Tanah Laut Kalimantan Selatan.Menentukan plot pengamatan dilakukan secara purposive sampling dengan menggunakan metode inindapat menentukan lokasi, dilakukan dengan sengaja yang memperhatikan dan mempertimbangkan kondisi tempat penelitian. bentuk petak ukur yang digunakan lingkaran. Dimana tingkat pohon dan tiang berjari-jari 6m, tingkat pancang berjari-jari 3m, dan tingkat semai berjari-jari 1,5 m. Pengambilan plot juga dominansi di kelas cukup rapat dan sangat rapat pada semua tingkat pertumbuhan, dan pengambilan sampel serasah galam  berukuran 20 cm x 20 cm pada setiap plot. Hasil estimasi biomassa setiap 1Ha 0,1580 Ton/Ha, total keseluruhan dalam  luas kawasan hutan rawa galam  sebesar 100 Ha ialah 15,80 Ton/Ha. Cadangan karbon yang dihasilkan pada setiap 1Ha sebesar 0,0785 Ton/Ha, untuk total keseluruhan kawasan hutan rawa galam seluas 100 Ha senilai 7,85 Ton/Ha

Abstract

Rotary is a machine that can converts pieces of wood logs into finir sheets then made into plywood so that rotary machine have the potential to produce waste in the processing of plywood. Rotary machines are used with two types of determination of different midpoints by determining the midpoint with photo camera switches and projector lights. The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences between the tools that was used against the rendement that had been produced and analyze the differences of diameter classes along the production process. This research was conducted at the plywood manufacturing company PT. Korindo Ariabima Sari Pangkalan Bun. The method was used by conducting observations and recording the results of the research, the experimental design pattern that had been used is completely randomized design (CRD). The results of this study indicate the difference in the tools that had been used (factor A) by using a photo switch camera, the result of the rendement is greater (about 72.971%)  compared with projector lamp which produces a smaller percentage of the rendement (about 69.870%), the difference in diameter class (factor B), greater rendement is produced in the class diameter of 60-69 cm with a value of 76,248% and smaller rendement are produced in the class diameter of 90-99 cm with a value of 68,175%.Keywords: Projector Lamp; Plywood; Rotary Machine; Rendement

Abstract

There are no publications on bird diversity in the Forest Area for Special Purpose, Lambung Mangkurat University (KHDTK ULM). This study aimed to analyze the diversity and similarity of bird species in the secondary natural forest, the plantation forest, and shrubs in the KHDTK ULM. Data related to diurnal birds was collected in these three habitat types. Researchers walked slowly following the transects (footpaths, inspection paths) that were already in each habitat type and recorded the name of the species and the number of individuals observed within 25 m between 06.30 - 10.00 and 15.00 - 18.00 in three replications. The data was processed to obtain diversity index of bird species (Shannon-Wienner index) and similarity index of species, as well as protection and conservation status according to LHK Regulation No. 106 of 2018 and its conservation according to IUCN. Twenty-eight species or 17 bird families were found in the area. Three of them are protected and most are categorized as least concern. The habitat types with species diversity index from highest to lowest are plantation forest, shrubs, and secondary natural forest. Based on the similarity index, the highest similarity of bird species occurs between secondary natural forest and shrub, while the lowest is between secondary natural forest and plantation forest.Keywords: diversity; forest are; habitat type; similarity; special purpose

Abstract

ABSTRACT. This study aims to determine the effect of organic fertilizer on the growth of Melaleuca leucadendra Linn crops in terms of high growth, increase in diameter and number of plant branches. To know the type of organic fertilizer that gives the best growth of Melaleuca leucadendra Linn plants.Methods of this study include Preparation of eucalyptus trees selected healthy cinnamon plant, straight stem and high green leaf color and uniform diameter cultivated, Preparation of planting hole with size 40cm x 40cm with spacing 2m x 2m, Planting is done by inserting eucalyptus plants on planting holes that have been provided and then heap and padded with topsoil around the plant left for 1 week for adaptation, Observations conducted for 3 months every 2 weeks, starting week 0 to week 12, the parameters observed include the ability to live or percentage grow, stem height, stem diameter increase, and increasing number of branches. Maintenance undertaken among others watering and eradicating pests and diseases, weeding weeds, The results obtained from the study showed that the provision of bokashi organic fertilizer had a very significant effect on the treatment for stem height increase, stem diameter increase, and increasing number of branches with average increase of height 30, 675 cm, the increase of diameter 0, 514 mm and the number of branches 25.5 pieces. The results of Duncan's follow-up test showed that all the different treatments were very significant to the control, but in the high increase for the bokashi treatment were not significantly different from the kascing and the kascing treatment was not significantly different from the cage.  Keywords: Eastwood crop; organic fertilizerABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon pupuk organik terhadap kayu putih dalam hal pertambahan tinggi, pertambahan diameter dan jumlah cabang tanaman. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis pupuk organik yang memberikan pertumbuhan tanaman kayu putih terbaik. Metode penelitian ini meliputi Persiapan tanaman kayu putih dipilih tanaman kayu putih yang sehat, batang lurus dan warna daun hijau tinggi dan diameter diusahakan seragam, Persiapan lubang tanam dengan ukuran 40cm x 40cm dengan jarak tanam 2m x 2m, Penanaman dilakukan dengan memasukkan tanaman kayu putih pada lubang tanam yang telah disediakan kemudian timbun dan padatkan dengan topsoil disekitarnya tanaman dibiarkan selama 1 minggu untuk adaptasi, Pengamatan dilakukan selama 3 bulan mulai minggu ke 0 sampai minggu ke 12, parameter yang diamati meliputi kemampuan hidup atau persentase tumbuh, pertambahan tinggi batang, pertambahan diameter batang, dan pertambahan jumlah cabang. Pemeliharaan dilakukan antara lain penyiraman dan pemberantasan hama dan penyiangan gulma. Hasil yang di peroleh dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik bokashi berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap perlakuan untuk pertambahan tinggi batang, pertambahan diameter batang, dan pertambahan jumlah cabang dengan rata-rata pertambahan tinggi 30, 675 cm, pertambahan diameter 0, 514 mm dan jumlah cabang 25,5 buah. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa semua perlakuan berbeda sangat nyata terhadap kontrol, namun pada pertambahan tinggi untuk perlakuan bokashi tidak berbeda nyata terhadap kascing dan perlakuan kascing tidak berbeda nyata terhadap kandang.  Kata kunci: Tanaman kayu putih, pupuk organik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the characteristics of rattan craftsmen, and rattan handicraft productivity in Haur Gading District, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency, South Kalimantan Province. Data retrieval technique uses observation method by conducting direct monitoring in villages that are used as research locations in Haur Gading District. The study also carried out interviews (interviews) to the woven craftsmen in the research location related to the characteristics and productivity of handicrafts in the research location. Samples of rattan craftsmen in this study were taken by purposive sampling. The village which was used as the location of the study was taken as many as 5 villages with a total of 52 respondents who were rattan craftsmen. The results of the study showed that in total 52 residents. The majority of respondents in the study (57.69%) were between 41-60 years old and the rest (42.31%) were aged 21-40 years. In terms of education, as much as 71.15% elementary school, junior high school and senior high school / high school level were only 23.08% and 5.77% respectively. Based on gender, 69.23% came from women, and the remaining 30.77% came from men. Overall, the productivity of the craftsmen in the study location is influenced by age, educational background and gender. Craftsmen aged 21-40 years with an elementary education background have high productivity, and from all of them are dominated by women. The productivity of different craftsmen is influenced by the types of handicraft products produced.Keywords: Characteristics; Rattan Crafts; Productivity

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the spatial structure of the Bajandik Riam and pulau mas towards the villagers' participation in the development of ecotourism. This research was conducted in the baru village of Batu Benawa District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, South Kalimantan, and done for 3 months. Produce in the form of primary data analysis material obtained from interviews and observations using the Purposive Sampling method and secondary data namely additional data that support research derived from literature or data from local institutions in this research that is village population data. Data analysis can be divided into 2 aspects that are, descriptive analysis of primary and secondary data, and geolocation analysis based on geographic information systems (GIS) using the ArcGIS application. The descriptive analysis resulted in 30.49% of the villagers not involved, and 15.85% of the villagers were involved, and sometimes involved 4.88% and the rest is not involved but would join in the development of ecotourism. And from the villager's suggestion 10.98% think of development for maximum utilization for the villagers', 23.17% think about environmental cleanliness and 54.88% want this location to be known by many people. while from analysis based on geographic information systems, can be concluded the existence of this ecotourism improve the local economy, then what needs to be paid attention to is the improvement of spatial planning both in terms of facilitation, and the need for an organizational structure of tourism managers by directly involving the villagers. Abstract

Mangrove plants have the potential as efficacious drugs, one of the plants in question is Pidada (Sonneratia caseolaris). All parts of the Pidada plant can be used as medicine. The purpose of this study was to identify the content of Pidada active compounds qualitatively. The research method is using phytochemical test. The results obtained from the Pidada plant phytochemical test are the most active chemical compounds found in Steroid compounds which are found in all parts of the plant (roots, stems, leaves and skin). Saponin compounds are found after Steroids, which are found in the roots, leaves and skin of Pidada plants. Alkaloids are only found in the Pidada roots. Triterpenoids are found in all four parts of the Pidada plant. Flavonoids are found only on the skin of Pidada. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the intensity of damge seedling calophyllum inophyllum based on the criteria of making the score, methods used in this study is the method for making the score. The analysis damage seedling calophylum inophyllum seedbed forestry on the social and environmental partnership (BPSKL) Banjarbaru south Kalimantan the intensity damage seedling calophylum inophyllum on BPSKL of 98,79 %, The greatest damage is curly leaves or clot about 438 seedlings, Curly leaves caused by the pests like a caterpillar which connects the two sides of the leaves so roll up like a long tube.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis intensitas kerusakan semai nyamplung berdasarkan kriteria pembuatan skor, penelitian ini adalah metode pembuatan skor yang telah ditentukan. Hasil analisis kerusakan semai nyamplung pada persemaian Balai perhutanan Sosial dan Kemitraan Lingkungan (BPSKL) Banjarbaru Kalimantan selatan yaitu intensitas kerusakan semai nyamplung pada persemaian BPSKL sebesar 98,79%, kerusakan terbesar adalah daun keriting/menggumpal sebanyak 438 semai nyamplung, daun keriting/menggumpal disebabkan oleh ada nya hama ulat, hama ulat ini menghubungkan dua sisi daun sehingga menggulung seperti tabung yang panjang

Abstract

This study aims to identify the types of traditional medicinal plants and plant parts that can be used by the Dayak Bakumpai tribe community in Lemo II village including analyzing how to treat these traditional medicinal plants to cure a disease and analyze how many dayak Bakumpai tribes still use plants traditional medicine in lemo II village, central teweh sub-distric, North Barito Regency. the data was obtained by interviewing the village physician using snowbal sampling technique. The results of this study of medicinal plants used consisted of 20 types of Pungkala Tawar (Costus speciusus), Bemban (Donax caniformis), Sasingut Pusa (Orthosiphan oristatus), Kangkawang (Shorea macrophylla), Penawar Sampai (Baccaurea lanceolata), Kalampeso (Helminthostacyys zeylanica), Teken Parei (Helminthostacyys zeylanica), Lukud (Asplenium nidus L.), Ligundi (Vitex trifolia L.), Cermin Pilanduk (Omalanthus grandifolius Ridl), Karamunting (Melastoma malabatrhricum L), Kayu Matan Andau (Lepisanthes amoena), Uhat Bahenda (Coscinium fenestratum), Mintu (Ligudium circinatum), Cocor Bebek (Kalanchoe pinnata), Sungkai (Peronema canescens), Kapas Rampit (Gossypium acuminatum Roxb.), Lambiding (Stenochloena palustris), Kenanga Hutan (Cananga odorata), and Krukutayu (Ageratum conyzoides L.). Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the growth condition of red meranti plants and classify the succes rate of red meranti plants. The method used in the sturated sampling method (census), data collection is carried out on all red meranti plants in the measuring block by observing and measuring the plant height and diameter parameters directly. The result showed that the health conditions of red meranti plants consisted of 23,46% healthy plants, 57,21% unhealthy and 19,34% languorous with a plant growth percentage of 40,59% smaller than the percentage of dead plants of 59,41%. The success rate of red meranti plants is 40%, so classification of red meranti planting is a low criterion so that intensive maintenance is needed to achieve the desired results.Keywords: Red Meranti; Evaluation; Success rate
