Abstract

This quantitative research analyzes the influence of leadership competencies, stakeholder participation, and technology utilization on the quality of education through the mediation of digital transformation at the basic education level of Pangkalpinang City. Using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with 206 respondents including principals, teachers, parents/guardians, administrative and IT staff, representatives of the Education Office, and academics, the results show that digital transformation has a dominant influence on the quality of education, indicating the crucial role of technology in improving the efficiency, inclusivity, and personalization of learning. Leadership competencies have a significant direct impact, even though their integration with digitalization is not optimal. The use of technology has a direct and indirect effect through digital transformation, while stakeholder participation strengthens the quality of education indirectly through digitalization. The SEM model emphasizes that improving the quality of education requires synergy between visionary leadership, adaptive technology, and integrated stakeholder participation in the digital ecosystem. These findings recommend policy development that focuses on digital capacity building, technology-based leadership training, and multi-stakeholder collaboration to address disparities in access to and quality of education

Abstract

The alignment between educational fields and learning activities in Elementary Schools is very important in creating effective and enjoyable learning experiences for students. This study aims to analyze how the implemented curriculum is in line with the needs and characteristics of students at the elementary level. Through a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of curriculum documents. The results of the study indicate that there is a gap between the expected educational theory and classroom learning practices. Factors such as limited resources, lack of teacher training, and parental support affect the effectiveness of learning activities. Therefore, it is recommended that schools and policy makers conduct continuous evaluation and improvement of the curriculum and teaching methods to ensure that learning activities are in line with broader educational goals.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the role of class teachers in instilling character values to elementary school students, especially at SDN Sukajaya, Sumber Harta District, and Musi Rawas Regency. A qualitative approach with a case study method was used to explore in depth the strategies, methods, and challenges faced in implementing character education. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, direct observation in class, and documentation of school policies. The results showed that class teachers play an important role in shaping students' character through exemplary methods, habituation, integration of values in learning, and reflective dialogue. Values such as honesty, responsibility, tolerance, and discipline are consistently instilled in teaching and learning activities and school culture. Supporting factors for character implementation include teacher and principal commitment, a conducive school environment, and supportive policies. However, obstacles such as lack of parental involvement, limited teacher training, and diverse student backgrounds are still challenges. This study concludes that character education in elementary schools requires an integrated approach and support from various parties in order to form a generation with strong character and integrity.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the challenges and strategies faced by elementary school teachers in optimizing the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the learning process during the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. The background of this study is rooted in the significant transformation of education due to digitalization, which demands a shift in both the roles of teachers and learning systems. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving 10 teachers from five elementary schools in Sumber Harta District, Musi Rawas Regency. The findings revealed key challenges such as limited infrastructure, low digital literacy, and the lack of continuous training. Nevertheless, teachers demonstrated adaptive strategies by utilizing free digital tools, fostering peer collaboration, and implementing project-based learning. Support from school principals and learning communities proved to be significant contributing factors. This study concludes that collaborative efforts, policies that prioritize teacher capacity building, and equitable technology access are crucial to bridging the digital divide in primary education.

Abstract

The practice of harsh education that once colored the world of Indonesian education in the past was often associated with discipline and success in forming character. However, along with the development of understanding of children's rights and educational psychology, the practice of physical punishment began to be questioned for its relevance. This article aims to review the journey of harsh education in the past and examine the relevance of physical punishment in the context of today's education. By using a descriptive qualitative approach and literature study, it is obtained that physical punishment is no longer in accordance with the principles of modern education that emphasize humanistic character building. Alternative approaches such as the restitution method and logical consequences are more effective in forming students' moral awareness.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has had a major impact on the world of education, including at the elementary school level. This study aims to analyze the implementation of AI in learning at SDN Madang, Musi Rawas Regency, and to identify the opportunities and challenges faced by teachers in the process of adapting the technology. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of AI at SDN Madang is still in its early stages, marked by the use of simple algorithm-based applications such as Google Classroom, Quizziz, and Kahoot. AI provides great opportunities to improve learning effectiveness, such as automatic feedback and analysis of student learning data. However, various challenges are still faced, including limited infrastructure, minimal digital literacy of teachers, and the absence of policies that support systemic AI integration. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening teacher competence, improving technological infrastructure, and supporting inclusive policies to realize sustainable and equitable AI-based learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of business ethics and bioethics in the health care sector, and how bioethical principles can be a moral basis for implementing business ethics. The method used is a literature study, by analyzing various theories and previous studies related to the application of bioethical principles, such as autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice, in business practices in the health care sector. The results of the study indicate that business ethics helps health institutions such as hospitals to not only pursue profits, but also provide fair, honest, and responsible services to patients. The application of bioethical principles can form a business ethics policy that supports the quality of health services that are fair, transparent, and responsible. These principles help health institutions ensure patient welfare, respect their rights, and pay attention to social responsibility. The integration of business ethics with bioethics allows hospitals and health facilities to not only focus on financial profit, but also on services that are oriented towards moral values and sustainability. This study makes an important contribution to the development of ethics policies in the health care sector.

Abstract

The perpetrators of child molestation crimes deserve to be given a fairly high sentence, for example, as stated in Law No. 17 of 2016 concerning Government Regulation in Law No. 1 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection into Law, where in Article 81 A paragraph (3) there is a criminal sanction in the form of chemical castration for perpetrators of child molestation. However, in reality, in law enforcement related to child molestation crimes where children are victims, not all perpetrators are given the maximum or severe sentence. The sentence given to perpetrators of child molestation crimes is reduced or not punished severely. Abstract

Religious moderation-based school management is a strategic approach to creating an inclusive, harmonious, and equitable educational environment. This approach focuses on developing values of tolerance, balance, and respect for religious diversity within the school community. By integrating the principles of religious moderation, schools are expected to become a space for constructive interreligious and intercultural understanding. This study assesses the implementation of religious moderation-based management through a literature review and analysis of socio-religious phenomena in Indonesia. The results show that this approach is able to reduce the potential for conflict, increase collaboration between school members, and strengthen multicultural character education. Important strategies in implementing this management include developing an inclusive curriculum, training teachers on religious diversity, and establishing a leadership structure that reflects plurality. The positive impacts of implementing religious moderation-based school management include increasing students' tolerance and creating a more cohesive school climate. This article concludes that the implementation of religious moderation-based management has great potential to foster tolerance in Indonesia's pluralistic society.

Abstract

Financial inclusion is an important aspect in the development of the community economy, especially in remote areas with limited financial access. PT PNM Mekar through its sharia financing program acts as a facilitator of capital access in accordance with Islamic principles and provides business assistance to MSMEs in Pesisir Besuki Village. This study aims to examine the role of PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) Mekar in encouraging financial inclusion for MSMEs through sharia-based financing in Pesisir Besuki Village. This study uses a qualitative approach to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of the program. The data collection techniques include in-depth interviews with MSMEs, direct observations in the field, and documentation of assistance activities carried out by PNM Mekaar. The results of the study show that before receiving financing, most MSME actors experience limited access to formal financial institutions, minimal knowledge about sharia financial management, and obstacles in business development due to limited capital. Business actors tend to rely on very limited personal capital. However, after becoming customers of PT PNM Mekar and receiving sharia financing through the murabahah contract, MSME actors experienced increased access to capital, were able to develop their businesses more optimally and showed an increase in understanding of financial management and business records. The implemented sharia financing program was able to provide a real contribution to improving people's standard of living. This is reflected in the increased business capacity and understanding of local communities regarding sharia financial literacy.
