Abstract

The development of coastal areas is one of the government's strategies in encouraging local economic growth through the tourism sector. Coastal areas that have various potential natural and cultural resources continue to be developed into leading tourist destinations in order to create jobs and increase local community income. This study aims to analyze the impact of attraction development, amenity development, accessibility development, and ancillary development on the income of the surrounding community. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires distributed to people living around Joko Tingkir Beach, Pemalang Regency with data processing using the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) model. The results showed that attraction development, amenity development, and accessibility development had a significant and positive effect on community income with a probability value of 0.0020, 0.0469, and 0.0162, respectively. Meanwhile, ancillary development has a probability of 0.1340, which means that ancillary development has a positive and insignificant effect on the income of the community around Joko Tingkir Beach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development strategy for the Root Bridge tourist attraction in Pesisir Selatan Regency based on Cooper's theory, which encompasses aspects of attraction, accessibility, amenities, and public facilities. The Root Bridge is unique as a natural bridge over a river, with the potential to be developed into additional attractions such as swimming, fishing, and whitewater rafting. However, its current management is still suboptimal. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the tourist attraction is still limited to the natural bridge, accessibility is inadequate due to narrow roads and minimal signage, amenities such as gazebos and restrooms are still lacking, and public facilities such as an information center, souvenir shop, tour guides, and a security post are not yet available. Based on a SWOT analysis, the development strategy focuses on enhancing river-based attractions, improving access, providing amenities, and building public facilities. This strategy is expected to support the development of the Root Bridge as a sustainable tourist destination that benefits the surrounding community.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the major challenges in human resource development in Indonesia, with multidimensional impacts, particularly on early childhood. The government has introduced the Healthy Village Home Program (RDS) as a convergence platform for local development actors to accelerate stunting reduction. This study aims to analyze the impact of the RDS Program in Nagari Taram using Thomas R. Dye's (2017) five policy impact indicators: impact on target groups, spillover effects, short- and long-term impacts, direct costs, and indirect costs. This research applies a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the program has not yet achieved optimal impact due to limited behavioral transformation among target groups, weak integration of health messages into social life, fragile institutional continuity, and constrained resources. Recommendations include strengthening cross-sector coordination forums, family-based health literacy strategies, integration of health promotion messages into social activities, village budget advocacy, and incentive mechanisms to offset community participation burdens. The RDS program requires strategic and operational enhancement to generate meaningful and sustainable policy impacts in reducing stunting at the village level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of managerial ownership, institutional ownership, independent commissioners, and audit committees on accounting conservatism mechanisms in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2021-2024. Accounting conservatism is a fundamental principle in financial reporting that helps mitigate the risk of overstating income and assets. The study applies a quantitative approach using secondary data derived from company financial reports. A total of 114 manufacturing firms consistently listed during the study period were selected using purposive sampling. The results show that managerial ownership and institutional ownership have a significant negative effect, while independent commissioners and audit committees have a significant positive effect. This research suggests enhancing the involvement of managerial and institutional shareholders by improving their monitoring roles, along with reinforcing the supervisory responsibilities of audit committees and independent commissioners to promote accounting conservatism.

Abstract

The election of legislative candidates is one of the very important democratic practices in this beloved country. Of course not, because from this election people's representatives will be elected who will convey the aspirations of all Indonesian people based on their respective electoral districts. They are representatives of the people's wishes because in a democratic system, power is in the hands of the people. However, dirty practices in legislative elections have tarnished the good name of democracy in Indonesia. The practice of bribery (risywah) is something that is very worrying. For various reasons, including one of which is the emergency reason (al-dharurah) which is often used to legalize the practice. The reason for the concern that the people's representative council will be occupied by incompetent people according to some of them is the emergency conditions that allow for giving bribes to prospective voters. This study aims to identify the extent of the potential for emergencies that occur so that it can formulate a prohibition law or the existence of rukhsoh (leniency) in the practice of risywah in the election of legislative candidates by reviewing the rule "emergency conditions allow prohibited things.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how criminal law is applied to perpetrators of cybercrime in Indonesia through a review of several court decisions. With the increasing use of information technology, cybercrime has become a serious challenge in the criminal justice system. This study uses a normative juridical method with a qualitative approach through literature review and content analysis of court decisions. The results show that the types of cybercrime predominantly handled through the courts include online fraud, defamation, hate speech, and the distribution of illegal content. The application of criminal law by judges is carried out by referring to articles in the Criminal Code and the ITE Law, despite inconsistencies in interpretation and technical obstacles in electronic evidence. Judges' considerations in issuing decisions include aspects of legality, justice, and the social impact of the crime. However, there remains a gap between the ideal principles of justice and legal certainty and the reality of practice in the field. This study recommends harmonization of regulations, increasing the capacity of law enforcement officers, and strengthening jurisprudence as steps to improve law enforcement against cybercrime.

Abstract

Kawentar Batik draws inspiration from the works of world-renowned painters such as Picasso, Piet Mondrian, Miró and Franz Klein. This is an effort to increase marketing reach, but few works by these artists have been adopted into batik artworks to inspire innovation. Kawentar batik is the first to do so. This study addresses the question of how modern art is implemented in Garut batik. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Feldman's theory is used to analyse the work; this method consists of four stages: description, formal analysis, interpretation, and assessment. The research sample comprises two batik writings in a modern art style. The results of the study show that batik combines local values with the main subject of modern art. The colours of the batik are influenced by those of the paintings, namely the colours used by modern artists. This study concludes that Kawentar batik draws inspiration from the works of renowned artists from around the world.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of oil and gas exports, Domestic Investment (PMDN), and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) on poverty levels in Indonesia during the period 1998–2023 using the Error Correction Model (ECM) approach. The objective is to examine both the short-term and long-term relationships between these macroeconomic variables and their impact on poverty reduction. The results show that all three variables have a negative and significant effect on poverty levels. Oil and gas exports reduce poverty by 0.11% in the short term and 0.19% in the long term. PMDN contributes to a 0.06% decrease in poverty in the short term and 0.10% in the long term. Meanwhile, GDP helps reduce poverty by 0.11% in the short term and 0.17% in the long term. The adjusted R² value of 97.21% indicates that the model explains the variation in poverty levels very well. These findings affirm that increasing oil and gas exports, domestic investment, and economic growth are effective strategies for poverty alleviation. Therefore, the government should strengthen and sustain economic policies supporting these three sectors to ensure equitable and sustainable poverty reduction.

Abstract

Credit card hacking (carding) constitutes a form of cybercrime in which offenders unlawfully access and use another person’s credit card for payment transactions without the owner’s consent or knowledge. This study aims to examine and analyze: (1) the legal framework governing the theft of credit card information that causes financial losses to customers through cyberspace; (2) the scope of criminal liability for such offenses; and (3) judicial considerations in Decision Number 240/Pid.Sus/2021/PN.Dps. The research focuses on relevant provisions in Indonesian law, specifically Article 30 paragraph (1) of Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE), which prohibits unauthorized access to another person’s computer or electronic system. In conjunction with Article 46 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law and Article 55 of the Criminal Code, these regulations form the legal basis for prosecuting carding offenses. Decision Number 240/Pid.Sus/2021/PN.Dps reflects the application of these provisions, where the court imposed penalties on perpetrators consistent with statutory mandates. This research underscores the significance of robust legal enforcement to address the evolving challenges of cybercrime and to safeguard public trust in electronic transactions.
