Abstract

Recycle Park Bank Sampah is one of the social community organizations engaged in the environmental economy, especially in managing household waste for residents of RW 05 Pinang Griya Permai, Tangerang. Currently the Recycle Park Bank Sampah Teratai has 10 administrators as waste bank managers with a total number of customers of 59 people. Its existence is now very helpful to the Tangerang city government in reducing the accumulation of waste to the Final Disposal Site (TPA) in Rawa Kucing and helping to improve the economy of housewives, especially residents affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Recycle Park Bank Sampah Teratai provides a place for residents of RW 05 Pinang Griya Permai to recycle using the 3R method (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle). The problems faced at the Recycle Park Bank Sampah Teratai are: 1) The Recycle Park Bank sampah Teratai activity program has not utilized used cooking oil waste optimally, 2) Lack of knowledge and skills of the Recycle Park Bank sampah Teratai management in packaging and marketing recycled waste products. These problems are due to partners having limited funds, facilities and human resources. This Community Service Program seeks to provide solutions to overcome these problems through: 1) Conducting training on making aromatherapy candles from used cooking oil for the community and management of the Recycle Park Bank Sampah Teratai, 2) Assisting in aromatherapy candle packaging and online marketing at market places.

Abstract

This study focuses on the implementation of stroke education at Nogosari Boyolali Community Health Center, with an emphasis on the pivotal role of physiotherapy in the educational process. Stroke education is a crucial aspect of post-stroke care, aiming to empower patients with knowledge and skills for effective self-management. This research explores the integrated approach of physiotherapy within the educational framework, highlighting its significance in enhancing patients' physical and cognitive functions. Through a comprehensive review of educational materials and interactive sessions, patients are equipped with tailored strategies for daily living and stroke prevention. The study also evaluates the impact of this holistic education on patients' independence and overall prognosis. The findings underscore the indispensable role of physiotherapists in stroke education, emphasizing their contributions to the multidisciplinary care team. This research provides valuable insights for optimizing stroke education programs in community health settings, ultimately improving the quality of life for stroke survivors.

Abstract

The objective of this community service activity is to conduct a comprehensive study aimed at enhancing the understanding of parents with children with special needs at SLB Negeri 1 Pare-Pare City, South Sulawesi. The study specifically focuses on the challenges faced by parents in comprehending the changes in their children with special needs during the transition from childhood to adolescence. The behavior and needs of children with special needs during adolescence are similar to those of children without special needs. Almost all children with special needs do not encounter issues with their body growth and development, including when they enter puberty. One of the responsibilities of parents is to provide an understanding of sex, along with guidance on how to protect themselves from sexual harassment and violence. To encourage parents of children with special needs to assist their children in understanding these issues, socialization is conducted along with simple exercises in parenting sex education for parents of children with special needs. The method used involves lectures and question-and-answer sessions on simple sex parenting exercises, with 22 parents participating. The results obtained after this activity show an increase in sexual parenting knowledge, as evidenced by the pre-test and post-test results. There was an 85.7% increase in the knowledge of the training participants, with a noticeable average improvement. This suggests that it may be recommended to expand the scope of service material with more complex exercises.

Abstract

Efforts in marketing products through the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises or MSMEs Corner program play an important role in increasing the existence of products and the economic progress of the community in Kindang Village. This is based on the main problem of the decline in the community's economy as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. For this reason, the MSME Corner program is present to facilitate business units in Kindang Village through marketing selected products to advance the economy of Kindang Village and expand the market or consumer reach of MSME players in Kindang Village. The implementers of this program are lecturers, students, along with mentors and village officials in Kindang Village. The visible achievement of this program is the availability of the UMKM Corner facility in Kindang Village. This facility not only functions as a marketing place, but also as an information and promotion center to expand market reach. Thus, this program not only provides direct economic benefits through increased product sales, but also indirectly increases public awareness and appreciation of local products. In addition, the program has a positive impact on increasing community involvement in local economic enterprises. With the MSME Corner, the community of Kindang Village can directly benefit from the development of micro, small and medium enterprises, thus increasing their sense of ownership and pride in their local products. This program can be used as an example for other villages as a model of effective collaboration in advancing the MSME sector at the local level.

Abstract

A healthy lifestyle is an unavoidable fundamental need for all individuals, although it is often considered a lifestyle that is difficult to implement. This concept is closely related to the lifestyle decisions a person makes in the course of their life. A healthy lifestyle brings a number of very significant benefits, covering both physical and mental health aspects. This research aims to convey understanding to students of SD Pius Bakti Utama, Kebumen, about the urgency of implementing a healthy lifestyle in their daily lives. This community service activity is carried out in the form of online counseling to children of SD Pius Bakti Utama, Kebumen, Central Java, scheduled on November 3, 2023, with an estimated time of about 2 hours. Through this counseling activity, it is expected to instill values and in-depth knowledge related to healthy lifestyles to students, as an investment to increase their awareness of the importance of living a healthy life. This research not only covers the theoretical aspect, but also presents the applicative aspect by providing an online platform that enables effective delivery of materials. Thus, it is hoped that this research can make a positive contribution in shaping healthy mindsets and behaviors, making physical and mental well-being an important aspect of students' daily lives.

Abstract

The financial feasibility measurement introduction training conducted by the Community Service team had the main objective of providing assistance to PD PUTRI's Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the financial feasibility of their development business. The training process covered several important aspects, including investment and production cost analysis, cost of goods sold, and business feasibility criteria such as Break Even Point (BEP), Net Present Value (NPV), Payback Period (PP), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Profitability Index (PI). In addition, in the context of SME development, careful planning requires serious consideration regarding the addition of working capital. The allocation of working capital by SMEs is crucial in providing the technology, equipment, and facilities and infrastructure needed to run the business optimally. Financial feasibility analysis is a key instrument in assessing whether the planned business can provide adequate profits and whether it is economically viable. Within the framework of raising working capital, aspects such as capital utilization efficiency, investment strategy, and risk management are also a key focus. This training aims to equip PD PUTRI's SME team with the knowledge and skills needed to design and evaluate a development strategy based on an in-depth financial feasibility analysis. As a result of the training, PD PUTRI SMEs are expected to make more informed decisions and optimize their working capital management. In addition, it is also expected to improve business competitiveness through a better understanding of the financial factors that influence business viability and sustainability
