Abstract

The Tik Tok application is very popular with Indonesian people in various circles, both teenagers, young people, as well as adults. There are also communication science students at the North Sumatra State Islamic University (UIN SU) who are very fond of playing Tik Tok, especially during this pandemic, students study online so there are fewer activities outside the home. To fill their spare time, students mostly play Tik Tok, both Tik Tok which has negative and positive content, such as dancing with various Tik Tok music, to taking part in the challenge of taking off clothes with music. To get a lot of viewers, likes and followers. So that researchers are interested in researching this Tik tok addiction, with the aim of knowing how the influence of the Tik tok application on changes in the imitative behavior of communication science students. The method used by the researcher is a quantitative research method. -Daily there are 31% of the data that has been obtained by student researchers there is a change in their behavior, both in singing songs, doing Tik tok movements every day, and respondents feel that Tik tok movements are common in everyday life.

Abstract

This study uses qualitative methods in collecting the data needed by researchers using interview techniques while in the discussion using descriptive methods that describe the conditions that occur in the field systematically. Informants in this study were the head of the general sub-section of coordinator and public relations as well as people from the BBN community in Deli Serdang Regency. The communication strategy used by BBN in socializing the P4GN program through social media is content providing content through types of content in the form of video posters and various things about P4GN to educate social media followers about healthy living. How to stay away from drugs, how to become a family that has high resilience and also how the village community can shine clean from drugs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of social media on student achievement at SMA Negeri 6 Binjai. The research method used is quantitative method. The sampling technique and population used were students of SMA Negeri 6 Binjai class XII Social Studies Department totaling 33 students from the class of 2021. By using the purposive sampling method, a sample of 33 students was determined from 811 populations. The data usage technique that the author uses is the questionnaire method (questionnaire). And the data analysis techniques used in this research are validity test, reliability test, normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test and simple linear regression test. The researcher used the Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) computer program version 21.0 to process the data. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that t arithmetic > t table or 4,585 > 2.0395 with a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05. From the results of the t test, it was found that Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between social media on student achievement at SMA Negeri 6 Binjai.

Abstract

The performance or performance of personnel demonstrates dependable human resources. Personnel performance is a description of personnel work that is demonstrated in activities and behavior that refers to the desired process and product as well as the workplace situation. The principal's performance-based supervision is a supervisory activity carried out by superiors to increase the competence of educational staff based on their performance or to increase the effectiveness of the institution in achieving the goals set. Thus, educational human resources who perform at or above the standard set by the institution have the opportunity and the right to receive a response from the institution in accordance with the applicable provisions. This study employs qualitative research methods, with informants including principals, educators, and education staff. The study's findings suggest that an effective supervisory process can improve teacher performance while also achieving organizational goals or the success of school activities. A leader's success will be realized if he treats others or his subordinates well and provides motivation so that they perform well in carrying out their duties. Leadership is the ability to move, motivate, and influence people to take actions aimed at achieving goals by having the courage to make decisions about tasks that must be completed. The principal's supervision of the performance of educators and education staff will be successful if the principal pays attention to the results achieved and treats educators and educators well, allowing them to perform better.

Abstract

The practice of illegal levies in the implementation of public services is an act that is very detrimental to various parties, in this case the community and the state are victims. The practice of illegal fees can be prevented by improving the quality of service management based on 3 main principles, namely transparent, accountable, and participatory. This paper will review the efforts of the Medan City Government in eradicating the practice of illegal levies (Pungli) in Medan City. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach to literature study. The data is obtained by taking a public assessment of the quality of service in the public sector in the review column or comments contained in the media or aspiration channels within the Medan City Government including websites, social media channels, and so on. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there was a decrease in the number of illegal levies in the public sector of the Medan City Government

Abstract

MC Group's Corporate Image Strategy in the Korean Drama Graceful Family. This study aims to see how the strategy is carried out in maintaining the company's image along with its weaknesses and advantages. The theory used is the theory of imaging the wish image. In the data analysis stage, the researcher uses a qualitative methodology and uses content analysis. By using content analysis techniques, the researcher tries to analyze the form of the imaging strategy used as the theoretical basis. Based on the findings on the object of research, the researcher draws conclusions. First, there are several imaging strategies described in the drama, namely, a) Forming public opinion by leading opinion by publishing articles on a regular basis. b) Manipulating the situation by changing the situation from a problem to something that seems normal, c) Negotiating by making an agreement that benefits both parties, d) Conducting a campaign to turn weaknesses into strengths, e) Constructing the image of the leadership by publishing achievements, f) Using the mass media Youtube as a medium for disseminating information, g) Conducting press conferences to straighten out negative public perceptions, g) Holding hearings with other leaders to evaluate company performance, h) Conducting field research before taking action, and i) Approaching emotional towards influential figures. Second, from the strategy carried out, the researcher found the weaknesses of the strategy used, namely, a) The existence of threats and coercion to the public, b) Giving bribes to other people, and c) Illegally extracting someone's personal information. In addition to finding weaknesses, there are several advantages that support the success of the strategy used, namely, a) There is harmony between work and areas of expertise, and b) Having access to reliable information control.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to learn how the Pujakesuma organization communicates in order to optimize regional development. The descriptive qualitative method was used in this study. The Langkat Regency Family Association is the subject of this study's research. The findings revealed that the Pujakesuma organization's communication in Langkat Regency was effective in optimizing regional development. One of the efforts to assist the Langkat district government in optimizing regional development is the establishment of good relations with the local government. The Pujakesuma Family Association agreed to continue supporting the Langkat Regency regional development program. Infrastructure, equality, and even human resource development are all examples. Pujakesuma, as a social organization, also intends to establish a tahfiz school in the Langkat district in the future to produce more qualified human resources.

Abstract

As many cases of suicide are caused by depression, researchers are interested in researching what causes depression in a person. This study aims to determine how depression is represented in the short film “The Sign” by Nicky K through John Fiske's semiotic analysis. This film depicts how a child goes through his bad days without anyone caring about the inner pressure he receives. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The author chose this study because of the lack of public attention related to depression cases around him. The author wants to know how depression is portrayed in this film, through behavior, traits that make it a depressive disorder. Researchers want readers to be more sensitive to cases like this. Therefore, the writer is interested in the title of this research. The results of this study indicate that there is a representation of depression in this short film which is seen from the three levels proposed by John Fiske. There are three levels, namely the level of reality, the level of representation and the level of ideology

Abstract

This research was motivated by the fact that during the Covid-19 pandemic the learning system was shifted online, this was also in accordance with instructions from the government. With the aim of knowing the effectiveness of teacher and student communication during the learning process through Quipper School at SMA PGRI 12 Medan. The theory used in this study is the theory of Uses and Effects. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. With data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation and documentation. Then the results obtained from the study showed that teacher and student communication through Quipper School in the learning process was less effective because there were still students who did not understand or understand the learning material provided by the teacher, and there were several obstacles to teacher and student communication in the learning process through Quipper School. so that it can reduce the effectiveness of teacher and student communication in the learning process.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the decline of nationalism in Indonesia looks increasingly worrying, especially for the younger generation. This gave birth to the idea of ??Alffy Rev to make one of the video clips for Alffy Rev ft. Novia Bacmid entitled Wonderland Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the representation of the sign of nationalism and to find out the expression of the meaning of nationalism in the Wonderland Indonesia video clip. This study uses a qualitative research method through the semiotic approach of Charles Sanders Peirce, in the form of a triangle theory of meaning; Representement, Object, and Interpretant, to show the sign and meaning of nationalism in the video clip. The result of this research is the message of nationalism in the music video "Wonderland Indonesia" so that the Indonesian people have a sense of commitment to Indonesia, have the courage to defend Indonesia, self-strength not to waver, purity of heart and an unyielding spirit and spirit that never dies. This video clip shows how important it is that no matter how far Indonesian youths go, the spirit of nationalism will always be present as the identity of the Indonesian people who still respect historical events and cultural heritage.
