Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the use of traditional games to stimulate the development of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Permata Ampera Pontianak. (2) describes the use of traditional kite games, coconut baroque stilts, and jumping rope to stimulate the development of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Permata Ampera Pontianak. This research is a qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The instruments in this study were observation sheets to find out the use of traditional kite games, coconut shell stilts and jump rope to stimulate the development of children aged 5-6 years, interview guides to dig up additional information about the use of traditional games to stimulate children's development and documentation. The results of research through observation and interviews show that the use of traditional kite games, coconut shell stilts, and rope jumping in learning can stimulate children's development. The stimulation of children's development through these three traditional games is in the process of the game being carried out, starting from the initial preparation until the game is finished being played. Children discuss giving opinions, playing games, encouraging friends and helping friends while playing, invited to pray before and after playing , and the child is explained that the materials used for the game to be played are obtained from materials provided by nature.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the formation of students' social attitudes through social studies learning, especially class VIII B at SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak. The form of research used in this research is qualitative with descriptive method. The subjects of this study were 1 social studies teacher for class VIII and 8 students for class VIII B at SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation and data analysis techniques obtained through three stages, namely, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that: the formation of social attitudes through social studies learning in class VIII B students at SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak has been carried out well, teachers at SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak are trying to guide, direct and advise students who make mistakes. Overall, the social attitudes of students at SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak are seen as good, but there are some students whose social attitudes are still lacking. For this reason, teachers, especially social studies teachers, are still trying to educate their students to be better. The social attitudes that are formed are honest, disciplined, responsible, polite, caring and confident, where the social attitudes that are formed can make students have better attitudes in the family, school and community environment.

Abstract

This research was conducted on the Pemangkat District Community of Sambas Regency with the aim of this study to determine the lifestyle of buying imported lelong clothes in the Pemangkat Community of Sambas Regency in terms of activity, interest, and opinion aspects. This study uses a qualitative approach, with the type of phenomenological research. Informants in this study were determinedby using snowball sampling and purposive sampling techniques amounted to 10 people. The results of this study indicate that the people of Pemangkat District, Sambas Regency are more interested in buying imported lelong clothes to meet their needs in dressing. In the activity aspect, it can be seen the intensity of the community in shopping, the specific time of the community, the type of clothingpurchased, the costs spent, activities to meet the needs of clothing, and the habits carried out before buying importd auction clothes. Interest occurs in the choice of people who are more interested in buying auction clothes, when people are interested in seeing shops selling auction clothes, liking branded and quality clothes, and prioritizing the types of clothes to be purchased. The lifestyle of buying auction clothes in the opinion aspect occurs in people's views of themselves when they want to shop for auction clothes, the quality of clothing products sold, as well as cultural factors that influence people to participate in shopping for imported auction clothes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by an abstract learning system, the explanation still uses words that require students to really understand the subject of study without using interesting learning media so that students are less enthusiastic in learning, as well as in the teaching materials used by educators. not all have character payloads. This study aims to produce learning media in the form of Character Student Worksheets (LKPD) so that students are enthusiastic in the learning process. The research procedure uses the ADDIE development model (Robert Maribe Brach) and the Borg and Gall method, namely analysis, research dan initial information collection, product planning or design, initial testing, and product revision. Data collection techniques are qualitative in the form of revisions by media experts, material experts and learning practitioners, and quantitative data from assessment questionnaires. The results of this study are (1) the assessment of media experts obtained 4.9 and from material experts score obtained was 4.5 from the range of 4.3 to 5 using the MV calculation which is declared very valid or feasible to use. (2) The assessment from the first learning practitioner score was 4.35 and from the second learning practitioner obtained score was 4.2 from the range of 3.5 to 4.2 using the MV calculation which was declared valid or feasible to use. (3) The assessment of all students obtained score was 4.53 from the range of 4.3 to 5 using the MV calculation is declared very valid or feasible to use.

Abstract

This research was motivated to find out the creative process of dance creation carried out by Saunihar as well as the choreographic form of Jepin Terune Dance. This form of research uses qualitative and descriptive research methods with a choreographic approach. Data collection for this study used interviews with speakers, observation,s and documentation studies. The technique tests the validity of the data by extending observations and triangulating sources. The focus of this research is the form of choreography and the creative process of creation by Saunihar on the Jepin Terune Dance. The results of the study can be concluded that the Jepin Terune Dance was created by Saunihar in 2014 for a National Malay Cultural Arts Festival competition and won the first place award. The factors that influenced Saunihar when creating the Jepin Terune Dance came from internal (oneself) and external (family, work, and society). Through the exploration stage on the movement of martial arts flowers at 7-12 and community activities that use canoe and bicycle transportation. The improvisation carried out is based on the idea of ideas and movements from the Jepin Step Dance. Jepin Terune dance has a theme of natural beauty and is danced by an even number of male dancers accompanied by Malay musical instruments such as selodang, tambourine, beruas, vocal fibers.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the lack of chest passes for basketball extracurricular participants at Taruna Bumi Khatulistiwa High School. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of small-sided games on the accuracy of chest passes in basketball extracurricular participants at Taruna Bumi Khatulistiwa High School. The sample in this study were all 18 participants in the men's basketball extracurricular at Taruna Bumi Khatulistiwa High School. This study is an experimental study with a pretest posttest control group design. The instrument used in this study used the AAHPERD basketball passing test, to measure the accuracy of the chest pass with a validity of 0.65-0.95 and a reliability of 0.84-0.97.The data was then statistically processed and tested for normality by Kolmogorov-Smirnov. The hypothesis proposed is that there is an effect of small-sided games training on the accuracy of the chest pass.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the concept of mathematics, ethnomathematics, and to form learner worksheet through the traditional game of jumping rope. The method used in this research is descriptive method with ethnographic approach. Research data were obtained from observations and interviews. The results showed the existence of mathematical concepts including circles in the form of game tools, straight lines appear when weaving rubber bands, opportunities appear when determining the order of play, counting appears when the guard counts 1 until 10, rectangles appear when two guards hold the rubber rope, triangles appear when players form roofs, trapezoids appear when players form houses, rhombuses appear when players form rhombuses, and kites appear when players form kites. And there are six characteristics of ethnomathematics including counting (counting the number of players in the traditional game of jumping rope), measuring (determining the order of play in the traditional game of jumping rope), designing (making traditional game tools jump rope), locating (position when playing the traditional game of jumping rope), playing (the existence of procedures/rules for playing the traditional game of jumping rope), and explaining (explaining stories about the course of the game, the time when playing, and related mathematical material in the traditional game of jumping rope).

Abstract

This study discipline research aims to test the effectiveness of counseling groups with self-management techniques to improve learning discipline class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. Research methods that used is an experiment with the form of Pre-Experimental Design research with the research design One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Technique sampling using Nonprobability Sampling technique with types Purposive Sampling in which the samples were taken as many as 6 class VIII. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire with a Likert scale and tested the validity and reliability of the questionnaire. The results of the sub-problem research one and two, namely the level of learning discipline obtained before being given service group counseling with self-management techniques is 81.00 and after given service is 131.33. Furthermore, for the sub-problems three obtained value, that is sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 0.05 which means there is a significant difference significantly between the level of learning discipline of students before and after given group counseling with self-management techniques. So got it was concluded that group counseling with self-management techniques was effective to improve the learning discipline of class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the level of teacher"™s competency in creating Plan of Leraning Implementation at SMP Setia Bhakti Bandung. This is considered importand because the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) is one of the important indicators in the realization of quality learning activity. Thi is occurred because the RPP is used as a guide and the main reference for teachers in carrying out the process of learning and teaching activities. Therefore, it is important to asses the level of teacher"™s competency in creating RPP. This is a school action research with descriptive quantitative approach. The data collection technique is a direct observation, using the form of observation instrument. Then, the data collection was carried out three times during the research period: pre-cycle, cycle 1, and 2. The data analysis technique used started with data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. Further, this research used a total sampling technique, reaching 20 respondents. Then, the result revealed that In House Training (IHT) can improve teahers"™ competency at SMP Setia Bhakti Bandung in creating RPP.  This condition proves by the number of percentage of teacher"™s competency which reached approximately 76,00%.
