Abstract

AbstractThis thesis presents a study that focuses on the study of oral literature, namely folklore. The rapid development of Science and Technology has led to a reduction in speakers and listeners of folklore, for that careful study of folklore texts needs to be done. The focus of the problem in this study is the structure, function, context and cultural value of the story and its implementation plan in learning folklore in schools. The method used is descriptive analysis. This research uses structural approach and sociology of literature. The data source in this study is in the form of folklore told by speakers. The steps of data collection are done by recording, transcribing, editing, translating, identifying and classifying. The data is then interpreted and analyzed by providing interpretations of meaning according to the problem under study. The results of the analysis of this study are: (1) the structure of the story, there is a forward plot, there is a human character, and there is a setting in the form of place, time setting and social setting; (2) the function of the story, found five functions, namely: as a means of entertainment; as a means of education and inculcation of moral values; as a cultural validator; as a means to pass down traditional ways of life, customs and habits; and as a tool so that the norms of society will always be obeyed by their collective members; (3) the narrative context consists of three contexts namely situation context, cultural context, and social context; (4) cultural values consist of human relations with God, human relations with oneself, human relations with the natural surroundings, and human relationships with each other; and (5) the results of this study can be implemented in Bahasa Indoneisa learning in schools because there are positive values that can be learned by students, namely in KD 3.7 identifying the values and content contained in folklore both oral and written, and KD 4.7 retell the contents of folklore heard and read. Keywords: Context, Cultural Values, Folklore, Function, Structure

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe characters and characterizations which include characters position, relationships and functions between characters, the meaning of texts and implementation in learning Indonesian language and literature. The method in this research is descriptive with qualitative form. The approach used is structural approach. The data collection technique used is documentary study. The data source is a novel Inteligensi Embun Pagi by Dee Lestari. The results of the study are as follows (1) the characters position is a) Gio as Expedition Companies owner and The Asko’s Key Harbinger coded Mist b) Alfa as Andromeda Capital employee and The Asko’s Dream Harbinger coded wave. c) Zarah as a natural photographer and the Asko’s Gate Harbinger coded Particle. d) Elektra as electrapops owner, electric therapists, and the Asko’s Memory Harbinger coded Lightning. e) Bodhi as a backpacker, tattoo artist and The Asko’s Lattice Harbinger Coded Root. (2) The Characters Relations and functions are harbingers who come from the same Cluster called Asko. Their function is to strengthen each character position. (3) The meaning of the text is the Philosophy of Buddhism. Abstract

AbstractThis research presents a study that focuses on the study of oral literature, namely engkana masuk padi. The rapid development of Science and Technology has led to a reduction in engkana speakers, so that it is possible for the next few years this tradition will disappear. A study of oral literary texts engkana masuk padi is needed so that it can be preserved. The focus of the problem in this study is the cultural values, functions, and engkana masuk padi identity. The method used in this study is descriptive analysis. The steps of data collection are done by recording, transcribing, editing, translating, identifying, classifying, interpreting, and concluding. The results of the analysis of cultural values that describe the relationship between humans and God are the existence of offerings. Human relations with oneself, namely hard work, developing work ethics and learning, never give up, patience, honesty and wisdom. Human relations with the surrounding nature, namely the use of natural resources. Human relations with each other, namely mutual cooperation, caring, willing to sacrifice, be helpful, forgive, love, and devote to parents. The results of function analysis, namely: as a way to convey the origin of events; as a means to inherit trust; as a projection system; as a means to inherit traditional living procedures, customs and habits; as a means of forcing and supervisors so that the norms of society will always be obeyed by their collective members; and as a means of releasing social pressures. The results of identification identity of the Kubitn Dayak community are: The Kubitn Dayak community as an agrarian community; The Kubitn Dayak community as an religion community; The Kubitn Dayak community as a solider community; and The Kubitn Dayak community as an ecological community. Keywords: Engkana, masuk padi, identity, Dayak Kubitn.

Abstract

 AbstractThis research is motivated by the purpose to describe the postition of Malay language in story of Buru Tetralogy by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Focus of this research to describe the Malay language used, function of Malay language in the meaning of the totality of the text, and make a lesson plan in accordance with the research. This research uses descriptive method and the research form is qualitative. Data analysis steps used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, data checking, data interpretation, and making conclusions. The results show that Malay language in story of Buru Tetralogy is included modern Malay and revolutionary Malay Language. Malay language by characters is not only limited to the language of daily communication, but also able to be a tool of struggle against Dutch colonialism, including through writing in Medan Priyayi newspaper. Malay Language in story of Buru Tetralogy also serves to give local color, culture, and become a tool of social control in society. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur formal dan struktur naratif yang terdapat dalam Dwilogi Saman. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah bentuk kualitatif.Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Saman dan Larung karya Ayu Utami dengan  data yakni kutipan paragraf, klausa, atau kata yang berkaitan dengan masalah penelitian. Hasil penelitian mengenai struktur naratif dalam novel, 1) Berkaitan dengan struktur formal yang ditunjukkan oleh adanya judul novel, volume teks, bahasa dan gaya bahasa novel. 2) Berkaitan dengan struktur naratif novel ditunjukkan dengan adanya plot dalam novel yang terbagi atas tahap awal, tahap tengah, dan tahap akhir. 3) Berkaitan dengan implementasi hasil penelitian dalam proses pembelajaran di Perguruan tinggi dapat dilaksanakan pada mata kuliah kajian prosa fiksi.  Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam Dwilogi Samankarya Ayu Utami, terdapat struktur formal dan struktur naratif yang saling berkaitan dan membangun unsur cerita novel serta dapat dijadikan bahan ajar di perguruan tinggi. KataKunci :Dwilogi Saman, Kajian Struktur Naratif   Abstract: This research aims to describe the structure of formal and narrative structures contained in Dwilogi Saman. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a form of research is qualitative terms. The source of the data in this research is Novel Saman and Larung by Ayu Utami with the data is quote of a paragraph, clause or word which related to research problems. Result of research on the narrative structure of the novel, 1) relating to the formal structure indicated by the title, volume of the text, language and style of the novel. 2) relates to narrative structure, shown by the plot of the novel which is divided into an early stage, middle stage and final stage. 3) relating to the implementation of research result in the learning process in higher education can be implemented in the course study of prose fiction. Thus, it can be concluded that the work of Ayu Utami, Dwilogi Saman, there is a formal structure and narrative structure of interrelated , and build elements of the novel and can be used as teaching materials in colleges.   Keywords: Dwilogi Saman, study of narrative structure

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by the desire of researchers to find cultural values in the novel Genduk Karya Sundari Mardjuki. The problems discussed in this study are the nature of human life, the nature of human work, the nature of human beings in the space of time, the nature of human relations with nature, the nature of human relations with others, and the implementation of cultural values in Indonesian language learning at the high school / MA level. The purpose of this study was to describe the problem. The theory used in this study includes elements that build literary work, culture, elements of culture, cultural values, and literary learning.The method used is descriptive method with qualitative research forms. The approach used is literary anthropology. The data source is the Genduk Karya Sundari Mardjuki novel, while the data are in the form of quotations from the Genduk novels. Data collection techniques and tools in the form of documentary studies and researchers themselves. The technique of testing the validity of the data uses persistence of observation and triangulation.The results of the study of cultural values are (1) the nature of human life in the novel shows five forms of value, namely sincerity, accepting fate, keeping promises, patience, and nobility. (2) the nature of human work shows three forms of value, namely fulfilling needs, life, elevating degrees, satisfaction and pleasure. (3) the nature of human beings in the space of time shows a form of value that is the mindset of the past. (4) the nature of human relations with nature shows one form of value that human values depend on nature. (5) the nature of human relations with each other shows the form of values, namely responsibility, mutual cooperation, love, and help. (6) planned implementation of cultural values for learning Indonesian language and literature seen from aspects of curriculum, implementation plans, approaches, methods, media, and class X SMA / MA learning evaluations. Keywords: Value, Culture, and Novel

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan tema dan amanat, serta fungsi cerita dalam kumpulan cerita Kalantika. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dan bentuk penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan objektif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah kumpulan cerita Kalantika. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah kata, kalimat, dan isi keseluruhan teks cerita yang mencakup tentang tema, amanat, serta fungsi cerita  di dalam kumpulan cerita  Kalantika. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik studi dokumenter. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu: 1) tema cerita adalah tentang pengajaran hidup yang bermanfaat kepada manusia mengenai tradisi menanam padi, melanggar janji, tegar menghadapi permasalahan hidup yang berat, serta tema tentang penyesalan yang sangat menyakitkan. 2) amanat pada cerita dalam kumpulan cerita Kalantika secara garis besar menjelaskan mengenai nilai-nilai pendidikan yang sangat penting, seperti nilai moral, nilai budaya, dan nilai budi pekerti yang dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan pembelajaran dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. 3) fungsi yang terdapat pada cerita dalam kumpulan cerita Kalantika, yaitu fungsi hiburan, fungsi pendidikan anak, dan fungsi religius.   Kata kunci: Struktur, tema, amanat, fungsi This research was aimed to describe theme and message, as well as, the story function in the collection of folklore, Kalantika. The method used in this research was descriptive method and qualitative form of research. The researcher used objective approach. The source of data in this research was the collection of folklore, Kalantika. The data of this research were words, phrases, sentences, and the whole content of the texts that contained themes, messages in the collection of folklore, Kalantika, as well as,  function in the stories in the collection of folklore, Kalantika. The data collection technique in this research was documentary study technique. The results of this research were: 1) the theme of the story in the collection of folklore, Kalantika, was about valuable life lessons of planting rice tradition, broken promises, endurance in facing hard life problems, and hurtful regret; 2) messages of the story in the collection of folklore, Kalantika, mostly explained about very important education values, for instance, moral, cultural value, value of characters for life lessons in daily life; 3) the function of story in the collection of folklore, Kalantika, was as function of entertainment, function of child education, and function of religion.   Keywords: Structure, message, theme, function

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kedudukan perempuan Bali di bidang sosial, seksual, dan ekonomi dalam kedua novel tersebut serta bagaimana penerapan materi kritik feminis dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk kualitatif. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kritik sastra feminis. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Tarian Bumi dan Tempurung. Kedudukan  perempuan di bidang sosial dalam kedua novel tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kedudukan perempuan menjadi tersubordinasi, tereksploitasi dan terdominasi. Kedudukan perempuan dalam bidang seksual menunjukkan adanya eksploitasi terhadap tubuh perempuan. Kedudukan perempuan dalam bidang ekonomi menunjukkan bahwa perempuanlah yang mendominasi perekonomian keluarga serta perempuan tidak mempunyai hak atas hak waris keluarga. Berdasarkan implementasi pada pembelajaran,  hasil kedudukan perempuan dalam novel yang diteliti dapat menjadi bahan pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi pada Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia semester III mata kuliah Kritik Sastra dengan materi kritik sastra feminis. Kata kunci: Kritik sastra feminis, kedudukan perempuan, perempuan Bali Abstract: The aim of this research are to describe notch of Bali?s woman in sociality, sexuality, and economy from the novel and how the implementation of Learning in university. The method used is a descriptive with qualitative form. The research approach is feminist literary criticism. The source of data in this research are Tarian Bumi and Tempurung Novel. The woman notch in sociality on the two of novel show the woman notch to be subordinated, exploited, and dominated. The woman notch in sexuality show a exploited to woman body. The woman notch in economy show the woman has dominated of family economy woman haven?t rights of family inheritance. Based on the implementation of learning, the result of woman notch on novel can be learning material on the Study Program of Indonesian Language and Literary, on third semester, Courses of Literary Criticism with Feminist Literary Criticism. Abstract

Abstract This research is based on the writer's desire to find the minke character of Minke in Roman Tetralogy of Buru by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The morality depicted in the Tetralogy of Buru is the morality of the Minke character. The general problem described in this study is "How is Minke's morality in Roman Tetralogy of Buru by Pramoedya Ananta Toer"? The particular problem is 1) How does Minke's morality in relation to God in the romance of the Buru Tetralogy by Pramoedya Ananta Toer ?. 2) How is Minke's morality in relation to oneself in the Buru Tetralogy of Pramoedya Ananta Toer's Work ?. 3) How is Minke's morality in relation to his fellow humanity in the romance of Buru's Tetralogy by Pramoedya Ananta Toer ?. 4) How is the implementation of research results on literary learning in schools ?. The focus of this research is the minke morality reflected in the romance of Pramoedya Ananta Toer's Tetralogy of Buru, the theories used in this study are, Character Values, Character Education, What is Self-Existence, Self-Confidence, Ethics and Philosophy Communication.The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative research form. The research approach used is the sociology approach of literary works. Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated that the folklore that existed in Padang Tikar community of BatuAmparsubdistrict is considered as something that must be known by the next generation, because they consider it a culture that needs to be preserved. Therefore, this folktale is preserved, for future generations to know the story.The problem in this research is to study, describe the structure of the text and analyze the intrinsic elements of folklore in the village of Padang TikarBatuAmpar Sub-district Kubu Raya RegencyThis research uses descriptive method and qualitative research forms on the text of oral literary stories of the community in the village of Padang TikarKecamatanBatuAmparKabupatenKubu Raya.The results of the analysis show that the 7 Folk Story owned by the community in the village of Padang TikarBatuAmpar Sub-district of Kubu Raya Regency contains intrinsic elements that can be revealed by using qualitative descriptive approach. The aspects studied are the theme, plot, character, background and mandate. The results of this study can be implemented in the Indonesian language learning Curriculum 2013 unit level SMA / MA which refers to the Core Competence and Basic Competence (KI / KD) contained in the syllabus teaching Indonesian Class X Odd Semester. Researchers hope other researchers who take about folklore as the object of research can examine more deeply because there are still many things that have not been studied. Keywords: intrinsic elements, values, functions, abstinence forbidden
