Abstract

Papua Province with 23 regencies and 1 city showcases diverse sectors. Jayapura excels in agriculture, plantations, services, crude oil, and palm oil, while Timika stands out for mining. The province's economic growth relies on an increasing Gross Domestic Products. In 2020, the GDP was IDR 198.93 trillion and IDR 137.68 trillion. Notably, Papua experienced a 24.68% growth in Q2 2018, mainly due to the mining sector's contribution of 56.03%. Women in Papua play dual roles in households and the economy, yet face challenges like marginalization, subordination, double burden, stereotypes, and violence. Although Papua's Human Development Index rose to 61.39 in 2022, its health index remains low. Delivery coverage in 2013 was only 33.31%, and maternal mortality rates are high. Poor health adversely affects economic growth, reducing productivity, increasing healthcare costs, and limiting livelihood opportunities. Furthermore, low health levels hinder Papua's HDI achievement. This study explains the impact of female labor force participation on Papua's economic growth. The research focuses on the GDP by Field of Activity as the dependent variable and female labor participation as the independent variable. A sample of 15 data points will undergo multiple linear regression analysis and classical assumption tests using software EVIEWS 10. The results of this research indicate that female labor participation does not have a significant effect on Papua's economic growth.

Abstract

The development of stock returns of manufacturing companies shows fluctuating movements from year to year. Return movements like this indicate that the condition of the manufacturing company is unstable so that it has an impact on the resulting stock returns. This uncertainty will certainly create its own concerns for investors who will invest in shares in manufacturing companies. With this, it is important for investors to analyze the company's condition first so that the investment made can provide returns. One aspect of the company that can be assessed by investors is the company's performance through financial statements. Helfert (2012: 98) grouped company performance measurements into three groups, namely (1) Earning Measures, (2) Cash Flow Measures, (3) Value Measures. Performance measurement based on value measures is economic value added (EVA), market value added (MVA), and refined economic value (REVA) This performance measurement holds the view that increasing value means also increasing long-term shareholder investment returns. Steward (2013: 115) states that value measures are considered to have capabilities that exceed Another performance measurement, because it takes into account all factors related to the creation (value) of the company that have an impact on the increasing prosperity of shareholders. The purpose of this study is to test EVA, MVA, and REVA against stock prices and stock returns. In this study using a research sample of 104 manufacturing companies taken through random sampling in the period 2014-2016. Data analysis and hypothesis testing in this study used the Partial Least Square Path Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results of this study show that EVA, MVA, and REVA have a significant positive relationship with stock price and stock return . By looking at the results of this study, it shows that performance appraisal using the EVA, MVA, and REVA methods has a strong influence on stock prices and stock returns . This shows that value-based valuation is important because every investment cannot escape the consequences of the incurring cost of capital as compensation for the funds used to finance the investment. The return on an investment will only mean that if the amount of return exceeds the cost of capital incurred to realize the investment, measurement certainly requires an accurate valuation method.

Abstract

This study applies a thread-based interaction model to enhance user connections within online communities, utilizing diffusion and analytical methods. The diffusion approach is employed to implement a thread structure that facilitates structured and focused conversations among users. These threads enable users to engage in discussions that are more organized and relevant to their interests. Furthermore, analytical methods are applied to map topics and connect related threads. Through the use of topic mapping algorithms, users can discover the most relevant threads aligned with their interests, thereby enhancing their engagement and participation within the community. During the experiment, the effectiveness of the interaction model is evaluated by measuring user connection and engagement levels. The research findings indicate that users are more likely to engage in deeper discussions and connect with other users through this approach. By combining the diffusion method for thread structuring and analytical methods for topic mapping, this study contributes to enhancing the ways users connect and interact within online communities.

Abstract

Amidst the waves of globalization and social change, issues pertaining to sexual identity and gender orientation, particularly those involving Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) individuals, have given rise to complex discourses within the realms of religion and society. This article explores the emerging differences of opinion surrounding LGBT, notably in Indonesia, where the Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) rejects LGBT as a sexual deviation contrary to the teachings of Islam, while the Liberal Islamic Network (JIL) acknowledges the diversity of human sexual preferences. Concurrently, in the Western context, the LGBT movement has spurred demands for political recognition, healthcare protection, and roles within military and parliamentary institutions. Additionally, this article highlights the role of social media in reshaping societal perceptions of LGBT and its impact on existing stigmas. Within this framework, the Islamic view towards LGBT is examined, depicting the conflict between religious perspectives and societal norms. Nonetheless, Islam also offers tolerance within the context of worship. This research employs a qualitative analysis approach to scrutinize Islamic legal interpretations and diverse societal perspectives on the LGBT issue. The aim is to investigate the harmony or conflict between the Islamic viewpoint on LGBT and prevailing societal norms. By delving deeply into the two primary pillars that shape individuals' perspectives and behaviors—namely Islamic legal interpretations and societal norms—this article seeks to provide a broader insight into the dynamics of LGBT-related debates. Through an inclusive and scientific approach, this article aspires to identify emerging points of harmony and conflict, thereby offering valuable contributions to discussions on pluralism, tolerance, and human rights within the context of religion and society.

Abstract

The intersection of Kyai Haji Wahid Hasyim and Mataram Sewer Inspection Road, Dabag, Condongcatur, Depok District, Seman Regency, Yogyakarta. Initial observations show that the intersection is often congested due to heavy traffic flow, especially during peak hours. Congestion in the city of Yogyakarta, especially the sleman district, is unavoidable, especially at intersection points both on protocol roads and on small roads. This congestion can result in losses for road users such as reduced vehicle speed, increased waiting time, increased vehicle queues, and decreased environmental quality. to reduce this congestion, researchers analyzed the time of the apill signal, queue length, and delay so that the congestion could be resolved. Determine the right alternative to solve the problems contained in the intersection. Primary data collection was carried out in the field for seven days with peak hours in the morning at 07.00-08.00 WIB and in the afternoon at 16.30-17.30 WIB using CCTV as a traffic volume data counter. Traffic light signal data is obtained in the field by counting each approach. Secondary data used is obtained from the Population-related Service Agency such as the Central Bureau of Statistics. The data obtained is then analyzed using the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines 2023 (PKJI 2023) Signalized Intersection method. The highest capacity analysis results on October 02, 2023 with a vehicle volume of 2539 kend / hour. With the result time of all red time north direction 1 second, south direction 1.09 seconds, east direction 0.43 seconds, west direction 0.42 seconds. and green time lost a total of 17 seconds. Queue length in the north direction 160.19m, in the south direction 186.96m, in the east direction 54.48m, in the west direction 115.3m. Delay in the north direction 71.45 seconds. In the south direction 72.4 seconds, in the east direction 59.56 seconds, in the west direction 60.66 seconds.
