Abstract

The study was conducted in the Punggur Kecil Village, Kubu Raya Regency, on three types of land use those are langsat plantations, mixed cropping and rice fields.   Land use change or land conversion is one of the factor that decteasing soil quality. Land use changed that occurs in punggur kecil, reguires any research aim to determining the soil quality index on three types of land use, those are Langsat plantations, mixed crops and rice fields in the punggur kecil village sungai kakap, Kubu Raya District.   Soil sampling using a diagonal system at 3 study sites with 5 points. The amount of samples in the three types of land use are 15 samples. Research parameters include supporting parameters such as soil profile, structure, vegetation type, depth of ground water level, pyrite content and distance of observation location from river / sea. Soil physical properties include bulk density, moisture content in field capacity, total porosity and texture. Soil chemical properties include soil reaction (pH), N-Total, P-Available, K-exchangeble, Ca-exchangeble, Mg-exchangeble, Na- exchangeble, Base Saturation, Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) and C-Organic. Biological properties include: earthworm population. Stages of research include determining the location of research sampling, sample analysis in the laboratory, determination of the minimum data set (MDS) with principal component analysis (PCA) as a weight index, scoring of soil indicators and determination of soil quality index. Data processing using microsof excel 2010 and statistical applications SPSS 16. The results showed langsat plantations have a soil quality index of 0.44 (medium criteria). Mixed crop land has a soil quality index value of 0.35 (low criteria). Rice fields have a soil quality index value of 0.35 (low criteria).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the nutrient status of N, P and K on three land uses and provide fertilization advice on each land use. This research was conducted in Semadin Lengkong Village, Nanga Pinoh sub-district, Melawi Regency. Soil samples for each research location were taken at 5 observation points of each land with a depth of 0-30 cm. The total number of samples on three land uses (oil palm, rubber and field rice) were 3 whole samples and 3 composite samples. Data analysis using descriptive analysis based on the criteria table of the Soil Research Center, 1983. Parameters of soil physical properties include soil color, soil drainage, soil texture, soil structure and soil content weight. The parameters of soil chemical properties include soil pH, soil total nitrogen, soil total phosphorus, soil total potassium, organic carbon as well as Al-dd content and soil Al saturation. The results showed that the soil N-total content in the three land uses entered into moderate criteria, the soil P-total content in the three land uses entered into very low criteria and the soil K-total content in oil palm land entered into very low criteria while in rubber land and paddy fields entered into low criteria. The high and low status of N, P and K nutrients is influenced by pH, organic carbon, and Al saturation. Soil reaction (pH) is included in the acid criteria, Carbon (C-Organic) is moderate, Al-dd content and soil Al saturation fall into high criteria. Furthermore, the recommended dose of fertilization on each land use is as follows, on oil palm land: Urea as much as 2.5kg/tree, SP-36 as much as 2kg/tree and KCL as much as 3.66 kg/tree. Rubber land: Urea as much as 287g/tree, SP-36 as much as 137 g/tree and KCL as much as 1,357g/tree. Paddy field: Urea as much as 223.66kg/ha, SP-36 as much as 55.55kg/ha, and KCL as much as 4,433.48kg/ha.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the income of white pepper farming in Trimandayan Village, Teluk Keramat District, Sambas Regency. Data collection was carried out by direct interviews with 50 white pepper farmer respondents who were deliberately selected with certain characteristics in Trimandayan Village, Teluk Keramat District, Sambas Regency. The data needed for this research is primary data which is directly searched at the research location and secondary data obtained from library research, related agencies and other sources that are appropriate to this research. Data is processed and analyzed using income analysis. Sampling used purposive sampling with a total of 50 farmers as respondents. The results of the research showed that based on observations of 50 respondents with land areas under 0.5 Ha, it was found that the average production amount of white pepper in the four months which was the production period was 95.23 kg for the 4-6 Year Plant Age Group, 261 kg for the 4-6 Year Plant Age Group. Plant Age 7-10 Years, and 131.5 kg for the Plant Age Group 10-15 Years with an average selling price of IDR 55,000/kg. The total average production cost of white pepper in the four months of the production period is IDR 2,012,442 for the 4-6 Year Plant Age Group, IDR 2,122,242 for the 7-10 Year Plant Age Group, and IDR 2,227,942 for the 7-10 Year Age Group Plants 10-15 Years, then the average net income for white pepper farming is IDR 3,219,058 or 16,228,558/ha for the 4-6 Year Plant Age Group, IDR 9,036,287 or 40,978,558/ha for the Age Group Plants 7-10 Years, and IDR 5,007,995 or 24,918,558/ha for Plant Age Group 11-15 Years.

Abstract

Melada (Piper colubrinum Link.) termasuk tumbuhan liar yang tidak dibudidayakan untuk tujuan khusus. Melada ini tahan terhadap serangan penyakit busuk batang sehingga digunakan untuk batang bawah pada penyambungan lada. Untuk mendapatkan batang bawah yang bagus perlu pemeliharaan yang baik seperti pemupukan, sehingga dapat mendukung pertumbuhannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan bibit tanaman melada dan mendapatkan dosis optimum pupuk NPK. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura, berlangsung dari tanggal 14 Juli-4 Oktober 2023. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap faktor tunggal dengan 5 perlakuan dan setiap percobaan diulang 4 kali. Perlakuan dosis pupuk NPK terdiri atas empat   taraf, yaitu : pupuk NPK 0 gram/tanaman, pupuk NPK 6 gram/tanaman, pupuk NPK 9 gram/tanaman, pupuk NPK 12 gram/tanaman, dan pupuk NPK 15 gram/tanaman. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah pertambahan tinggi tanaman, pertambahan jumlah daun, pertambahan diameter batang, indeks warna daun, panjang daun, dan lebar daun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian beberapa dosis pupuk NPK yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertambahan tinggi, panjang daun, dan lebar daun melada. Penambahan dosis tidak serta merta meningkatkan pertumbuhan. Pemberian pupuk NPK dosis 6 g/tanaman menunjukkaan dosis optimum untuk bibit melada.

Abstract

The Urgency of Agricultural Extension Competence in Empowering Pepper Farming Groups on the Border of West Kalimantan. The aim of the research is to describe the urgency of the competency of agricultural instructors in the context of empowering pepper farmer groups on the West Kalimantan border. The type of research is descriptive qualitative. Research data is primary and secondary data. Validate data by triangulating sources and methods. The data analysis technique uses interactive analysis. The results of the research conclude: (1) The target of the extension program is to increase the empowerment of pepper farmer groups, so that pepper farmers receive various information about pepper cultivation so that their production increases and at the same time their income increases; (2) Agricultural extension programs can be successful if they are based on the principles of community empowerment which include: Integrated Development, Human Rights, Sustainability, Empowerment, Self- Reliance, Organic Development, The Integrity of Process, Co-operation, and Participation; (3) The competence of extension workers has a very important contribution in determining the success of the extension program or empowerment of pepper farmers, because the competence of extension workers will increase the competence of farmers in the aspects of knowledge, skills and active participation in managing farmer groups.

Abstract

Perubahan yang terjadi karena adanya perkebunan kelapa sawit akan berdampak baik atau buruk pada masyarakat sekitar. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak sosial dan ekonomi yang ditimbulkan oleh berdirinya perkebunan kelapa sawit PT.MAK (Musthika Abadi Khatulistiwa). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif, dan hipotesisnya diuji dengan Uji Mann Whitney. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Sekilap Kecamatan Mandor Kabupaten Landak dan sampelnya terdiri dari 44 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa berdirinya perkebunan kelapa sawit PT.MAK di Desa Sekilap telah memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat. Terdapat dampak positif yang mencakup peningkatan pendidikan, akses kesehatan yang lebih baik, peningkatan infrastruktur jalan, akses terhadap teknologi komunikasi, peningkatan pendapatan, dan lapangan kerja, namun dampak negatif juga terlihat, seperti menurunnya minat terhadap pendidikan pada sebagian remaja, kerusakan lingkungan, penurunan kualitas hubungan sosial, peningkatan konflik sosial, dan perubahan perilaku sosial yang menunjukkan penurunan dalam partisipasi dalam kegiatan gotong-royong dan berkontribusi. Dari aspek ekonomi, berdirinya perkebunan kelapa sawit PT.MAK telah memberikan dampak positif dengan meningkatnya jenis pekerjaan, peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat, dan peningkatan harga jual tanah. Namun, dampak negatif seperti pencurian buah kelapa sawit dan ketidaksetaraan ekonomi antara perusahaan pekerja dan non-pekerja juga terjadi.

Abstract

Chili is one of the horticultural commodities that has a lot of nutrients and vitamins. Generally chili need sufficient nutrients in their growth and development so that the results can be maximized. Nutrients in the soil can not fully meet the needs of plant nutrients so that the addition of nutrients is required through liquid organic fertilizers from fruits. This research aims to determine the best concentration of liquid organic fertilizer from fruits on the growth and yield of chili plants on peat soil. This research was carried out in the experimental field of the Agriculture Faculty, Tanjungpura University Pontianak, in November 2017 to February 2018. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 5 treatment levels, namely k1 (5 ml /l), k2 (20 ml/l), k3 (35 ml/ l), k4 (50 ml/l), k5 (65 ml/l). Each treatment was repeated 5 times with 4 plants sample. Variables observed in this research include plant height, flowering time, plant dry weight, fruit length, fruit diameter, number of fruits, and weight of fruit per plant. The results of this research is the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer from the best fruits not found in this research but the concentration of 65 ml/l of liquid organic fertilizer can increase the growth and yield of chili plants on peat soil.
