Abstract

This study examines the efforts of the Office of Communication, Informatics, Encryption, and Statistics of Central Kalimantan Province in fostering and strengthening Community Information Groups (Kelompok Informasi Masyarakat/KIM) as community-based public communication partners. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, supported by in-depth interviews with key informants namely a Senior Public Relations Officer of the Office of Communication, Informatics, Encryption, and Statistics of Central Kalimantan Province and a KIM activist in Central Kalimantan, the Chairperson of KIM Bintang Jaya Itah this research explores how the provincial government carries out capacity building, institutional development, and improvements in digital infrastructure to enhance KIM performance in disseminating public information. The findings show that government support is manifested through structured training in public communication, digital literacy, and citizen journalism; continuous mentoring in the use of platforms such as kim.id and KIM Digital; and the implementation of tiered coordination involving KIM networks at the provincial, district, sub-district, and village levels. Diskominfosantik has institutional duties and functions in the fields of public communication, informatics, and information dissemination. KIM is one of the strategic programs that serves as an instrument for community-based information empowerment, making this topic relevant to the role of government institutions. Studies related to KIM in Central Kalimantan are still relatively limited; therefore, this research provides a new contribution in the context of developing community information institutions at the regional level. Although various initiatives have been implemented, several challenges remain, such as limited community management capacity among KIM implementers, uneven digital skills, and a relatively high dependence on government facilitation to support operational activities. This study shows that effective collaboration and role-sharing in producing content relevant to local needs are essential. The Office of Communication, Informatics, Encryption, and Statistics of Central Kalimantan Province acts not only as a regulator but also as a facilitator, mentor, and community empowerer in the field of information.Overall, this study concludes that government efforts through the Office of Communication, Informatics, Encryption, and Statistics of Central Kalimantan Province in the development of Community Information Groups (KIM) fall into the effective category and encourage KIM to be more active in producing and disseminating information. In the era of hoaxes and disinformation, the government requires trustworthy community-based information channels, and KIM represents one such solution; however, there are still KIMs that remain inactive in certain regions or districts and therefore require further attention and guidance.

Abstract

Community participation is a crucial factor in the success of sustainable forest management, particularly within the framework of social forestry. Forest Farmer Groups (Kelompok Tani Hutan/KTH), as key actors at the site level, require effective facilitation to actively engage in forest management activities. In this context, forestry extension officers play a strategic role as intermediaries between government policies and local communities. This study aims to analyze the communication strategies employed by forestry extension officers to enhance the participation of Forest Farmer Groups at the Forestry Service of Central Kalimantan Province through the Barito Tengah Forest Management Unit (UPT KPHP Barito Tengah) in North Barito Regency. This research adopts a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with forestry extension officers as research informants. The data were analyzed descriptively through thematic categorization focusing on the role of extension officers, communication methods and media, socio-cultural adaptation, dialogic interaction, and communication barriers in forestry extension activities. The findings indicate that the communication strategies applied by forestry extension officers are persuasive, participatory, and context-based. Interpersonal communication through face-to-face interactions and field-based mentoring is prioritized, while communication styles are adjusted to local social and cultural conditions. Two-way dialogue and discussion facilitate a process of meaning construction between extension officers and Forest Farmer Group members, leading to improved understanding, motivation, and behavioral change in forest management practices. These communication strategies contribute positively to increasing the participation of Forest Farmer Groups and support the implementation of social forestry policies as well as sustainable forest management objectives.

Abstract

This study aims to see how much influence the Current Ratio, Debt to Asset Ratio, and Total Asset Turnover have on financial performance at Cut Meutia General Hospital, North Aceh Regency for the period 2016–2023. The data collection technique was carried out through documentation of the company's financial reports from 2016 to 2023, then further processed to calculate the financial ratios used as research samples. The statistical results also show that the Current Ratio (X1) has a t-value of 6.401 and a significance value of 0.003 <0.05, so it partially has a significant positive effect on financial performance. While the Debt to Asset Ratio (X2) has an F-value of -5.924 and a significance value of 0.004 <0.05, meaning that the Debt to Asset Ratio has a significant negative effect on financial performance. Total Asset Turnover (X3) has an F count value of 1.698 and a sig value of 0.54 > 0.05, meaning that Total Asset Turnover does not have a significant influence on financial performance. Simultaneously, Current Ratio (X1), Debt to Asset Ratio (X2), and Total Asset Turnover (X3) have an F count value of 15.310 with a significance value of 0.007 < 0.05, meaning they have a simultaneous influence on financial performance. This research is a quantitative research with an associative approach. Associative research aims to determine the relationship and influence between independent variables, namely Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), and Total Asset Turnover (TATO), on the dependent variable, namely Financial Performance which is proxied by Return On Asset (ROA). Based on the financial report data of Cut Meutia General Hospital, North Aceh Regency for the period 2016–2023, the values of Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), Total Asset Turnover (TATO), and Return on Asset (ROA) fluctuate annually. These changes indicate the dynamics in the condition of liquidity, solvency, activity, and profitability of the hospital during the study period. Current Ratio has a positive and significant effect on the financial performance of Cut Meutia General Hospital, North Aceh Regency, while Debt to Asset Ratio has a negative and significant effect on financial performance. Meanwhile, Total Asset Turnover does not have a significant effect partially. However, simultaneously, Current Ratio, Debt to Asset Ratio, and Total Asset Turnover have a significant effect on financial performance for the period 2016–2023.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the 2023 and 2024 Performance Reports (LAKIN) of the Southeast Sulawesi Agricultural Research and Development Agency (BPSIP) using an agency theory approach. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through official document studies and interviews with employees involved in the LAKIN preparation. The results show that the 2023 achievement was very high, at 161.53%, with all indicators exceeding the target. Conversely, in 2024, there was a decline in achievement to 88.51%, influenced by low agricultural instrument production, extreme weather, and budget revisions. In the context of agency theory, LAKIN serves as a medium for agent accountability to the principal, as well as a control tool for task implementation. Despite the decline in achievement, the reporting process still reflects the accountability and transparency of the agency's performance.

Abstract

The manufacturing sector faces increasing pressure due to rising production costs, fluctuating demand, and intense global competition, forcing companies to improve operational performance to remain competitive and sustainable. Many manufacturing firms still experience inaccurate production planning, imbalanced inventory levels, inconsistent product quality, and inefficient cost management, resulting in delivery delays, high holding costs, product returns, and declining profitability. This study aims to analyze the influence of production planning, inventory control, product quality, and cost efficiency on the operational performance of manufacturing companies. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed using primary data collected from 200 managers and operational staff through structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS to examine both simultaneous and partial effects. The results indicate that the research model demonstrates good goodness-of-fit and that all four variables have positive and significant effects on operational performance. Product quality shows the strongest influence, followed by production planning, cost efficiency, and inventory control. Together, these factors explain 72% of the variance in operational performance. The findings emphasize that integrating effective planning, inventory management, quality assurance, and cost control is essential for improving productivity, efficiency, competitiveness, and long-term sustainability in manufacturing organizations.

Abstract

Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is one of Indonesia's leading plantation commodities and plays a strategic role in the national economy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of EFB compost as an alternative source of potassium, analyze its effect on potassium nutrient uptake, and assess its impact on oil palm yields at PT Evans Group. This research method used a field experiment approach by comparing two treatments: a control treatment without EFB compost and a treatment with EFB compost at a dose of 50 kg per plant. The results showed that compost application had a positive effect on plants, as indicated by increased leaf potassium content in the compost treatment compared to the treatment without compost. Although the difference was not significant, these results indicate that compost plays a role in increasing potassium availability and uptake by plants, thus supporting better plant growth.
