Abstract

The increasingly competitive landscape of Islamic banking in Indonesia urges institutions such as Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) to optimize employee performance and professionalism to improve customer satisfaction. However, several customer complaints in West Jakarta raise concerns about service consistency. This study aims to examine the influence of employee performance and professionalism on customer satisfaction, with gender acting as a moderating variable. A quantitative approach was employed using a questionnaire distributed to 120 people BSI customers, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that employee performance significantly affects customer satisfaction (coefficient = 0.297; p = 0.002), and employee professionalism shows a stronger significant effect (coefficient = 0.634; p<0.001). Gender moderates the relationship between professionalism and satisfaction for both male (coefficient = 0.599; p = 0.043) and female customers (coefficient = 0.807; p < 0.001), but its moderating effect on the relationship between performance and satisfaction is only significant for female customers (coefficient = 0.159; p < 0.001), and not for male customers (coefficient = 0.291; p = 0.109). These findings suggest that while gender plays a partial moderating role, the professionalism of employees remains the most critical factor in enhancing customer satisfaction at BSI West Jakarta. Companies should focus on developing employee skills and professionalism while implementing inclusive communication strategies to address potential gender bias. Future research could explore additional moderators or contextual factors to further refine these insights.

Abstract

This study stems from the anomaly of consumer behavior in the pesantren environment, where the exemplary behavior of teachers as a subjective norm is assumed to strongly influence the purchasing decisions of santri, a phenomenon that challenges rational consumer theory. The purpose of this study is to quantitatively test the influence of Subjective Norms (Teacher Exemplarity) on the purchasing decisions of sarong products among santri at Pesantren Al Istiqomah. Using a quantitative approach through a survey, the data were analyzed using simple linear regression techniques. Surprisingly, the statistical analysis results showed no significant influence (Sig. 0.634 > 0.05), with a very low coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.003. This finding conclusively rejects the research hypothesis, leading to the conclusion that teacher role modeling is not the primary determinant in students' purchasing decisions. The results indicate that within the walls of the boarding school, economic rationality such as considerations of price and product quality is likely to play a far more dominant role than the social impulse to emulate role models.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of administrative services in ensuring the accuracy of pension benefit payments at PTPN IV Regional 1 by using a descriptive qualitative approach through interviews and observations. The background of this research stems from the importance of administrative service effectiveness in ensuring the welfare of retirees as part of sustainable human resource governance. The quality of administrative services is a strategic factor in building public trust and ensuring that retirees’ financial rights are fulfilled accurately and on time. The results show that, in general, administrative services have been carried out in accordance with standards, particularly in terms of payment timeliness, compliance with administrative procedures, and the reliability of digital systems. However, several challenges remain, such as limited digital literacy among elderly participants, technical issues in the application, and insufficient staffing, making the services less responsive. This condition indicates a gap between service standards and the capabilities of some participants, requiring optimization strategies such as personalized assistance, automatic reminder systems, manual service alternatives, and human resource capacity building to make services more inclusive, adaptive, and capable of ensuring accurate pension payments sustainably. Theoretically, this study contributes to the development of the concept of public service quality within the context of pension administration, particularly regarding the dimensions of responsiveness and equitable access for vulnerable groups. Practically, the findings are expected to serve as a foundation for PTPN IV management in formulating policies to enhance digital-based administrative services that are more inclusive and participant satisfaction-oriented.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively examine the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) implementation on employee productivity and performance in various sectors. The method used is a narrative literature review that analyzes the results of empirical and theoretical studies related to AI and human resource performance, with data sources from relevant journals and recent research. The results of the study show that AI can increase operational efficiency through automation and fast data processing, as well as improve the quality of decision-making that has a positive impact on employee work performance. Psychological factors such as technology acceptance and readiness to adapt and employee digital literacy competencies are the keys to the success of AI implementation. In addition, employee involvement acts as a strategic mediator that optimizes AI's contribution to productivity. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of synergy between technological innovation and strengthening human capital to support sustainable organizational digital transformation. This study fills the research gap by integrating technical and social perspectives in measuring the impact of AI on employee performance and providing a more holistic and multidimensional research direction. This research also offers important practical contributions and policy implications for managers and policy makers in optimizing the implementation of AI to achieve better organizational performance.
