Abstract

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of environmentally conscious practices in the palm oil industry’s supply chain by integrating the Green SCOR model with ISO 14001-based environmental indicators. A case study was conducted in a government-owned palm oil refinery in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. The research employs a mixed-method approach involving surveys, interviews, and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) using Expert Choice software to weight and prioritize 24 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The results indicate that environmental management performance reached a satisfactory level of 83.51%, with the most critical indicators being related to waste quality monitoring and hazardous waste (B3) disposal. These findings underscore the importance of aligning supply chain operations with environmental management standards to ensure regulatory compliance and sustainability. The integration of ISO 14001 and Green SCOR enhances the accuracy and comprehensiveness of environmental performance assessments. The study concludes that periodic re-evaluation and the inclusion of broader environmental metrics are essential to maintain long-term sustainability in industrial operations. Future research should explore stakeholder involvement and dynamic data integration for more adaptive environmental strategies.

Abstract

This study investigated the influence of organizational culture and office facilities on employee performance, with job satisfaction examined as a mediating variable. The research was conducted at the Class 1 Immigration Office TPI Malang using a quantitative approach and an explanatory research design. A total of 80 civil servants participated in the study, selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling. The results showed that organizational culture and office facilities had a significant and positive impact on employee performance. Both variables also significantly influenced job satisfaction. However, job satisfaction did not significantly affect employee performance and did not mediate the relationship between either organizational culture or office facilities and employee performance. These findings indicate that improving organizational culture and office facilities has a direct and meaningful effect on performance, while job satisfaction does not play a mediating role in this context.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of e-commerce in Indonesia has been marked by the emergence of TikTok Shop, a platform that combines entertainment and commerce, particularly attracting Generation Z users. This study aims to analyze the influence of e-service quality, e-trust, and electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) on repurchase intention, with e-customer satisfaction as a mediating variable. A quantitative method was applied, involving 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that e-customer satisfaction does not significantly affect repurchase intention (t = 1.907; p = 0.057), and it does not mediate the relationship between the exogenous variables and repurchase intention. E-service quality and e-trust also show no significant effect on e-customer satisfaction or repurchase intention (p > 0.05). However, e-WOM has a positive and significant influence on e-customer satisfaction (t = 2.887; p = 0.004). These findings indicate that Gen Z purchasing behavior on social commerce platforms tends to be influenced more by peer communication and digital trends rather than by traditional service quality and trust factors. This study enriches the theoretical discourse on digital consumer behavior in Indonesia and provides practical recommendations for e-commerce platforms to enhance repurchase intention strategies through social engagement, influencer collaboration, and optimized e-WOM mechanisms.

Abstract

Tourist satisfaction is influenced not only by the attractions of a destination but also by the quality of services and products offered by local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). However, limited attention has been given to how MSME performance affects tourist perceptions. This study aims to examine the influence of service quality and product quality of MSMEs on tourist satisfaction in several tourist destinations in North Sumatra, Indonesia. A quantitative research method was employed, using a survey approach with 150 respondents who had direct experience with local MSMEs. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that both service quality and product quality have a significant positive effect on tourist satisfaction (p < 0.05), with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.68. These findings support the SERVQUAL and customer satisfaction theories, highlighting that modern tourists evaluate their travel experience not only through attractions but also through interactions with local businesses. The study recommends strengthening MSME capacity through improved service delivery, innovation of culture-based products, and the digitalization of marketing and transactions to enhance the competitiveness of tourism destinations.

Abstract

This scholarly work investigates the potential impact of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) information dissemination on firm-level performance, within the theoretical scope of stakeholder orientation. ESG transparency is evaluated across three thematic pillars—ecological stewardship, societal engagement, and corporate oversight—based on parameters delineated by Nasdaq ESG Metrics (2019). Corporate performance is represented by a market-based indicator, namely Tobin’s Q. The empirical dataset comprises 17 energy-sector entities listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange over the period 2019–2023, selected through purposive sampling methodology. Analytical procedures employ multiple linear regression techniques. The empirical results indicate that environmental transparency exerts a statistically significant and favorable influence on firm value. In contrast, disclosures related to social and governance aspects do not demonstrate a meaningful association with corporate performance. On the whole, the disclosure of ESG dimensions exhibits a significant and positive linkage with firm outcomes. Nevertheless, in spite of existing regulatory mandates, merely 25% of energy firms have issued sustainability reports, and the comprehensiveness of ESG-related disclosures remains suboptimal. The present invetigation highlights the strategic importance of environmental transparency in enhancing market valuation. Practically, the findings urge energy firms to enhance environmental disclosures to boost investor trust and firm valuation.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship plays a strategic role in shaping the economic development of a country, especially through its contribution in creating job opportunities and absorbing the workforce. However, only a small number of university graduates show interest and courage to start their own business and manage it independently. This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurship education received by students, most of whom come from a health-related academic background during their studies at Widya Husada Semarang University (UWHS) along with entrepreneurial motivation, family environment, and income expectations on their interest in becoming entrepreneurs after graduation. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The study included 90 undergraduate participants from UWHS, spanning the 2019 to 2021 academic years, all of whom had finished the entrepreneurship curriculum. Statistical evaluation was performed through SPSS, employing multiple linear regression analysis alongside hypothesis assessment. The results indicate that exposure to entrepreneurial training, intrinsic drive, and anticipated financial gains significantly and favorably influence students' inclination toward entrepreneurship. Conversely, familial surroundings demonstrate an adverse yet statistically negligible impact. Collectively, these predictors account for 76.9% of fluctuations in entrepreneurial aspirations, with external variables beyond the study’s scope contributing to the residual 23.1%. These results can serve as a basis for developing campus policies related to the integration of entrepreneurship curriculum that is responsive to the background of health science students. This study also contributes to the literature on the development of entrepreneurial interest in health-focused higher education institutions in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of person-job fit and ethical leadership on teacher performance using job satisfaction as a mediating variable. This study is motivated by the phenomenon of suboptimal teacher performance in vocational high schools, which is thought to be influenced by the principal's leadership style and the suitability of the teacher's role to his job. The purpose of this study is to determine the direct and indirect effects of ethical leadership and person-job fit on teacher performance, with job satisfaction as a mediator. SEM-PLS is used to analyze the quantitative approach and questionnaire used in the study, which was conducted at SMK Taruna Abdi Bangsa. The sample in this study amounted to 31 teachers selected through a total sampling technique. The research findings indicate that ethical leadership and person-job fit have a significant influence on teacher performance and job satisfaction. However, work happiness does not operate as a mediator in the relationship between ethical leadership or person-job fit and teacher performance, and it has no appreciable effect on teacher performance. The study emphasizes the significance of leadership and job alignment in improving teacher performance, even though job satisfaction is not a useful mediator in this situation. The implications of this research are expected to be a reference for school management in developing strategies to improve teacher performance through ethical leadership and teacher placement according to their expertise.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and motivation on employee performance in the Food & Beverage (F&B) Department at the Grand Mercure Medan Hotel. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, where data are collected through questionnaires to 28 respondents consisting of F&B Department employees. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression to test the partial and simultaneous effects of both independent variables on the dependent variable. The results of the partial test indicate that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while motivation does not show a partially significant effect. However, simultaneously both have a significant effect on performance, as proven by the F test. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.496 indicates that 49.6% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by transformational leadership and motivation. This finding confirms the importance of the role of inspirational leadership and attention to employee needs in creating optimal work performance. Although motivation is not dominant individually, its existence remains an important component in the collective performance prediction model. This study recommends that hotel management strengthen transformational-based leadership training and formulate motivational strategies that are more adaptive to the characteristics of the younger generation that dominates the workforce.
